Does anyone else not play anymore as a result? It's depressing none of my friends enjoy it anymore. Honestly I don't blame them. Radar was such an important skill and I was good at it too, planning and moving around to get the jump on someone when you knew they were coming was intense and fun. Now it just forces me to want to play my invis hunter at all times if I even get the chance to play because everyone I know hates it.
Why does Bungie always try to re-invent the wheel? it's so frustrating, especially when the game has other actual issues, nothing was wrong with it.

3 AntwortenNo radar was an awful decision on Bungie's part. Before, you had to actually think about how you were going to outplay your opponent because you both knew each other's positions. No radar removes that element of skill and tactical play and boils gameplay down to "run around the map until you either sneak up on someone or someone sneaks up on you," since D2 doesn't have sufficient audio cues, objective modes, or sided spawns for you to accurately guess where the other team will be at any point in a game.

2 AntwortenBearbeitet von Jonnnys: 7/5/2018 11:17:25 PMThere’s skill in both, with or without radar. I prefer trials without radar. I think you’ll find better players prefer without, I’m an average player and it’s definitely better. The guys I find on lfg at the same skill level as me prefer it for the most part. It punishes teams that don’t communicate etc. Seeing each other on radar pretty much all the time makes for a boring game, both players probing each other, attack, retreat all the time in 1v1s. Some players literally don’t challenge first, let your opponent make the first move. It’s boring in my opinion.

1 AntwortenDo you realize that radar is the opposite of a skill? Radar is a crutch to help you not get flanked. Not that I care. I will say I love competitive without radar. It gives a real feel to the combat. AT ANY POINT if you arent checking six you will die. As it should be. I also like radar on in quickplay but you want more realistic combat feel then go no radar. The solution is keep head on swivel , always check six, and move fast. simple really and it was introduced in WWII ....its called Blitzkrieg lightning war not camping with wieners on a grill waiting for enemies. go hard go fast and crush your enemies.

4 AntwortenSo you really need radar to be gud? Then Trials isn’t meant for you. Leave it to us big boys

12 AntwortenIts time to lose the crutches and walk like a real man. Radar is gone, get over it.

7 AntwortenI prefer no radar. More intensity. There’s visual cues for engagements.

2 AntwortenThe Crucible team is lost....and PvP has been an anchor around the neck of this franchise. At every turn, PVP in this game lurches around with no clear idea of what it wants to be...or what its trying to do.. At every turn, Bungie removes whole aspects of the game and entire levels of skill expression....in an effort to try to micro-manage play. With no consideration given to what impact it will have on the game as a whole. There is an entire level of play that revolves around the radar....and entire skill sets of involving the ability to read radar accurately....as well as trying to deceive another player whom you know can see you on radar. So of my most memorable---and entertaining----duels from D1 involved me going at it with another really good player. Each of us trying to play mind games with other...trying to force each other to misread the radar. Bungie needs to just accept that PvP in this game is never going to play like a "pure" competitive shooter....and there will always be a strong component of "mind skill" to playing it well. So they need to LEAN INTO that...rather than trying to fight against it.

The same here, nearly no one in my friend list plays trials anymore. D2 trials was bad after They took away radar its catastrofal. I Dont understand why They Dont listen to the community. TTK is the thing They should work whit. In D1 i was loving when it was friday and trials, the whole week i was waiting for that, i played ours and ours . I couldnt feel the tireness, that is gone. I Dont want to play trials. Its frustating that its no fun too play solo anymore .
