Who thinks 50 faction engrams is too long of a grind.
I like the faction rally grind but farming 1000 token gets boring after a while.I think the patrol missions should at lease give 1 renown and one faction token or one or the other and the high vale target needs to have 2 tokens and 1 or 2 renown,and then increase the amount of faction tokens by one after you lose a pvp match and plus have all faction gear and weapons,ghost,sparrow,ship,and shaders equipped to increase the amount of tokens or renown or both.All comments are welcome.

Should be more about the 3 faction VS eachother! 3 way crucible Faction fire in pve (can shoot other players in pve if they have opposing faction emblem and take tokens) OR Can take kills/loot from opposing players if they wear faction emblem. Don't want to be part of it? Take off the emblem.

I grind the game all the time. I did 50 EPs for the shotty. I’ve done 100+ raid clears, I’ve done countless strikes for Nf weapons and poor RNG has caused me to Grind harder. But Rank 50 is absolutely stupid. I’m not spending a whole week of my life doing lost sectors and public events for a exotic catalyst .... If they made the token drops match the activity... 50ish for raids, 30-40 for prestige nightfall or 30-40 for a 7 win card I might bother. But I got 20 tokens from a spire of Stars run last night that took 2 hours... how does that make sense?

First day, I got 110 tokens. Took about 40mins. Tonight I'm going for the 200 mark. By the end of the week I'll have my 1000. It isnt even bad come on people

Wouldn’t be bad if it wasn’t time gated. I prefer the D1 faction system there in general. It’s a LONG grind, but EVERYTHING you did counted towards it. Always felt like you were moving forward even just messing around. I played a LOT to finish DO in the first rally and planned on splitting one of the other factions over the next two. We will see.

It’s not bad at all I played for about three hours yesterday just doing the heroic strikes and flashpoint on all three characters and one lost sector with each character and jumped from lvl 4-27 is not hard. Do daily faction rep boost every day with all three characters and then just play your standard activities you normally do and you should be able to get it. All you have to do it play. Even if it’s an hour a day it’s easy

Eh I can get 100 tokens for my fiancee in an hour so its not that bad for me (but it IS annoying).

2 AntwortenYou can get about 200 a day (a little less than that, realistically) if you do the daily faction milestones on 3 characters. That doesn’t include all the other things you can get them from, like public events for the flashpoint, strikes, and crucible. You don’t have to get it all in one day.

At least for me, it serves the same purpose. I grinded the hell out of strikes to get Service Revolver. [i]I earned this damn thing.[/i] I'm gonna' use the hell out of it. Same with people and the catalysts and ish like Redrix's Claymore or whatever it is-

ive hit level 35 already and havent really grinded. still got 1 char to do milestones this week

Patrols give 1 renown. HVTs give 1 renown. The enemy supplies gives more than 1 renown. Crucible, strikes, and literally anything other than farming and dumping a renown stack is so incredibly inefficient that you shouldn't bother. The point of that is that you do the 'event', which is patrols/public events. The trick here is you get lucky enough to RNG out the full faction armor set, which gives you an additional renown from Every source. Meaning you can pop a heroic event and a patrol, and be at a 5 stack. Yes, farming out a thousand tokens is grindy, but if you do it properly, not by doing strikes or crucible matches, it's totally reasonable to get to level 40, during the week, with 2 hours tops worth of farming per day.

The difference for me is that I don’t feel like I have to grind an activity I’m not interested in for catalysts for guns I don’t use. If you don’t like the grind then send the message by not grinding. Being vocal about not liking it but doing it anyway is a mixed message. Edit: to answer your question, yes it’s far too long for someone like me so I don’t bother.

17 AntwortenThree days in (I missed last rally) with about 2-3 hours a day of gameplay and I am at lvl 20 in Dead Orbit. It's pretty easy actually. Heroic Public Event (3 renown, 5 tokens) + Roaming yellow bar (1 token + 1 Renown) + 1 kill patrol (1 token, 1 renown) + 1 lost sector with 5 renown (10 tokens) = 17 tokens in about 15 minutes. That's about 136 tokens ever 2 hours. Let's round that down to 120 to allow for error and that is still 6 levels in 2 hours without milestones. At that pace you would reach level 50 on the 9th day. That's not too much grind IMO.

4 AntwortenIt is a boring grind, but it takes 10-12 hours to get to 1000 tokens if you are successful with your lost sectors. It’s probably even shorter with a fireteam. A whole week is plenty of time, even to casual players
