Sunshot Needs a Mag Buff - Day 3

Hey Guardians, it's time for Day 3 of my personal crusade to get a magazine buff for the Sunshot. Am I wasting my time? Maybe, but win or lose at least I can say I tried. Let's talk about the 150rpm archetype for hand cannons. I'm going to cover the 2 best (imo) options for the energy slot and the only 2 options in the kinetic slot. [u]Imset HC4 w/ High-Caliber Rounds and Dragonfly[/u]: This is my hidden gem and go-to energy hand cannon. This gun has 13 shots of high caliber rounds and dragonfly. *Dragonfly only does ~60 damage to the sunsplosions 100 damage in PvP. [u]Jack Queen King 3 w/ Ricochet Rounds and Pulse Monitor[/u]: With 13 Ricochet rounds, this energy hand cannon has the best range for the 150 and 140 rpm archetypes. If pulse monitor kicks in, you'll find yourself firing for a long time before reloading. It also has waaaay more aim assist (91) than the sunshot. [u]Midnight Coup w/ Outlaw and Rampage[/u]: This is my go to PvE hand cannon. It only has 12 rounds, but reloads lightning fast with outlaw. In the raid, the first cabal takes two headshots before dying; after stacking rampage 2/3 you start one tapping everything to the head. Truly a thing of beauty. [u]Dire Promise[/u] w/ Appended Mag and Triple Tap: This is a hand cannon has great stats across the board that make up for the lackluster perk set. If you land all critical hits for triple tap, this gun gets to fire 19 times per mag. The Sunshot is an exotic and should be outperforming the other hand cannons in at least one aspect of the game, regardless of whether that is PvP or PvE. The other options in the 150rpm archetype all have perks helping them stay in the fight longer, or perks that help them deal more damage per shot. I'd argue that the Imset HC4 is better than the Sunshot, if not as fun to use. It's just so painfully obvious that 8 rounds in the mag just doesn't cut it. As it is the only hand cannon in the game I don't have, it slipped my mind. Keep in mind that Ricochet Rounds (JQK3) add a small range stat boost, but add an invisible range boost due to the increase in zoom. It will have a lower number value for it's range stat, but will experience damage fall off at a further range. Yeah, the masterworked Sunshot has a range stat of 74. However, as I said in my Day 2 post, only 20% of players even pledged FWC so only a small % of people have the SS catalyst.
