When your conventionally liberal friend uses an anti-liberal analogy in an argument with you.
So my friend who is, what I would consider, politically liberal leaning (we never really discuss politics but the times it comes up he’s always liberal) and I had an argument today about how it was his fault I spilled coffee on myself because he tapped the accelerator very quickly. His comeback was “Dude you sound like the liberals that blame guns for mass shootings.” I was literally bamboozled. How the -blam!- do you combat this?
