I just had the most toxic experience of my life, whilst trying to do escalation. I don't have many friends online at the same time and over the last two weeks have grinded my ass up to light 360 on all 3 characters and just spent about an hour or so waiting for a full 9 people to pop up so I could attempt escalation.
Alas people showed up and we were at 7 when I invited another friend.
Then I started getting messages asking me to leave, then tried tricking me into joining there fireteam so they could kick me. Beat the crap out of my guardian you know. The norm for toxic players.
They said light 360 was to low and I would die to much, but id attempted it when there were only four of us and hadn't died once I had a higher survivability than all of them and with darci out I was doing decent damage. Honestly its put me on edge.
Like I said my friends have all sorts of weird time jobs so I can't do I raid, well I can but due to my own personal issues I would much rather only talk with people I know, so you know escalation would have been perfect, no communication needed just straight forward grinding.
I know this doesn't happen very often but its disheartening to know that it even happens at all.
Any body else have any bad experiences similar? How do you deal with it?

Bearbeitet von mpuchar: 5/20/2018 3:00:46 AMYeah, thats how everyone is getting 9 man lobbies. They join on someone, take lead, and then boot. I feel like an easy solution for Bungie would be to have an option to leave a fireteam without going to orbit.
-
1 AntwortenThat’s a shame. The guys involved in the harassment legit deserve to have the shit kicked out if them in real life. Unfortunately there’s a lot of poorly parented players out there...and that includes many adults.
-
4 AntwortenI think I had a friend have this happen to him. I thought they were just douchebags. Can you only have nine at a time in Mars it something? Why do they care of you're there?
-
No. It's generally been very cooperative. Worst thing I've seen is not getting revived by players who were near me.
-
And then the whole dev team stood and and clapped

12 AntwortenBungie needs to stop pretending everyone is friendly and ready to team up. Escalation Protocol is based on this principle, but the reality is far from it. I either see people just randomly setting it off then repeatedly dying, or groups invading the space, trying to clear others out. This was obviously not the intention but thats how these things work.
-
365 isn't even a bad light for escalation protocols
-
I can’t find anyone around
-
Escalation Protocol in the Patrols was the mistake.
-
1 AntwortenOnly problems I've had is the game itself dead enemies floating, audio always cutting out, frames dropping badly and getting kicked from the lobby and put in a new lobby
-
360 IS way too low, but it doesn't mean people should be cancerous.
-
1 AntwortenThat why protocol sucks 😔

it's a two way street. If I am doing something in an area and others come there and start messaging me telling me to leave with no explanation of why don't expect me to just up and leave. If your a jerk about it, I will just report and move on. If people want you to leave they need to ask politely, if your the jerk then that's on you. Bottom line is blame bungie for any problems. If bungie would of setup things up right we would not be in this situation.

I feel ya bro.

I’m finding all this nonsense about EP -blam!-ing hilarious, Bungie are imbeciles and this type of shit is only going to get worse once they re-add bounties........I’m looking forward to the September shitstorm.
-
Welcome to a destiny. People are fascist.
-
They need to make EP a 6 man event with the option of joining with a 6 man fireteam. This having to play with randoms who like you said, are so toxic and abrasive is just disheartening. I was expecting to see end game content like Prison of Elders or Court of Oryx. I don’t mind this new idea, but having to have 9 man teams at such an extreme difficulty is absurd. They either need to drop it to 6 man and allow full fire teams or implement some sort of difficulty modifier like the 3 different difficulties in Court of Oryx or Forge.
-
This is what was predicted unfortunately. Must be level 360 and have 2 friends to walk around a public space. Bungie this is why people have been asking for 6 man fireteams the last 4 years. Exactly why. So people like this who want to be jerks to the average player can go play by themselves, while those of us who embrace the friendly aspect of the game AS IT WAS DESIGNED don’t have to deal with it. Crap like this really pisses me off. I don’t want to be banned, nor do I want to use profanity around a bunch of kids. Bungie, feel free to grab my email address and I will tell you how I really feel about it. 6 player fireteams for public spaces. Figure it out.

How do you deal with it?[/quote] I mean honestly you were being the dick, out of ignorance it seems but still being a dick. 1) It can be really hard to set up the 9 man Escalations- I set up 2 and it took like an hour each tome before we were all together. You are just waiting to mooch off someone else’s effort of getting a group and syncing a lobby together. You’re trying to steal two slots from the people who put the whole thing together. 2) They weren’t wrong 360 light is basically bottom of the barrel in terms of light even worth attempting it at. Sure you can easily hit wave 7 but the enemies I think are at 400. You barely do any damage and die really easily. It’s not a skill thing, it’s a game mechanic, you just aren’t high enough light. 3) You won’t join their party and communication is key for the activity. That with your 360 light, there is no chance it will ever get done. I’m sure they were rude and obnoxious but you have to realize your attempt at participating was mooching, stealing other people’s spots, and by being a low light and refusing to communicate ensuring no one on that server finishes it.

2 AntwortenI've seen folks just start it and run off. Leaving ads ALL over.
-
If you are the leader, kick the one who asks you to leave. When he gets mad just reply with the meme “This isn’t tennis...”
-
yup, it happened to me twice last night. now I don't even try anymore.
-
I like to catch the train and sit in one of the 4 seater spaces on my own. Headphones firmly inserted so I don't have to listen to everyone elses dribble or make small talk with randos. Aggresive gangster rap or death metal playing super loud whilst I evil eye the groups that are traveling together approaching my spot just to let them know this is my spot and and i don't care that you're all gonna be split 3 ways for the rest of the trip. I paid for my ticket and I aint moving for anyone!!!!

2 AntwortenThis game sucks, go play something else.
-
9 AntwortenBe nice and if you see 2 fireteams of 3 and one asks you to leave so they can get 3 more friends in just do it. I don't agree with being a asshat about it but if they ask nicely you really should just leave the area and come back.

It is a fail , 9 players in a "public" playground that don't know each other and have different play styles. That's like throwing 6 monkeys in a room with 6 typewriters and expecting something amazing.....wait did I just stumble upon how they wrote the story.... anyways 6+ fireteams would be great.....
