Recommended power is there for a reason! We wanted power level to mean something! We wanted Heroic Strikes to be hard! And currently, they somewhat are! So, save your damn feedback 'till after we reach 370! We can't keep saying things are too hard when WE JUST STARTED and then proceed to ask for those same things to be harder when we hit the cap! These two things cancel each other out, and asking for both is downright hypocritical.
Latest Edit: Below, you can find my 'evaluation' of a majority of the feedback I received on this post. (It was originally placed in a comment but due to a friendly recommendation, I am placing this comment in the spoiler box below as to not allow it to get lost in the comments.)

So, let me get this straight.
Through about 400 comments - most of which I went through; more so than not, we agree upon the problem lying on the incentive to do 'Heroic Strikes'. Where most place their points upon progression, where difficulty does not bring reward equal to it. More specifically, most expect a 350 activity to gradually raise their power level to that of it, if not beyond (majority of suggestions went toward it being at 360).
Thus, this points directly to that of a Rise of Iron progression system, where people want to run strikes 'till they reach a certain cap, and from there they top their progression off with higher level activities, those being raids and nightfalls and in D2's case, maybe Escalation Protocol.
Beyond that, it seems that many also want Heroic Strikes to still be relevant past the cap, which can be done through other forms of reward (grindable weapons and gear specific to Heroic Strikes).
In conclusion, we say let's keep Heroic Strikes where they are in terms of difficulty, but we want better incentive to do them outside of "Milestones". Do you agree by this sentiment? If many do, you may find a post concerning this in the Feedback section in a couple days.

The reward needs to be commiserate to the grind right now it just isn't imo. That being said who's bright idea was it to pair glass and brawler together as modifiers? that's just silly. Before you can punch anything your dead the so called faster regen is too slow to even have any impact. I despise that glass modifier either pair it with something to balance it out or get rid of it.

Who asked for difficulty in Heroic Strikes?? This is bungies stupid way of ruining an already failed game even more than it is
-
1 AntwortenNot everyone asked for more difficulty on the strikes and the modifiers that were added. The only problem I had was PVP and TTK.
-
Who asked for difficulty? Destiny 1 had access to every play level. You could revisit missions and have the choice of making them more difficult without locking people out. Everything about Destiny 2 is a downgrade and a failure in comparison. Bungie has learned nothing and is fired all the competent staff and all we have left is a bunch of kids trying to pretend they know what they're doing. When in reality they have inherited something that I don't know how to handle and they're clueless how to deal with it.

5 AntwortenThe difficulty is perfect. I walked into Exodus Crash expecting a cake walk, and was slapped around like a bitch by Thaviks, the Depraved. But the incentive/rewards for completing Heroic Strikes leaves much to be desired. I'd like something meaningful. Like Thaviks's head on a plaque.

Bearbeitet von pie_0wns_y0u: 5/11/2018 7:48:45 PMMy problem with heroic strikes is they don’t boost your power level outside the milestone, other then that i don’t mind the difficulty.

Butchers in the new strike on heroic have waaaaaaaayyyyyy too much health for a red bar and they freaking swarm you when taking a plate. Love how bungie just ups the hit points to make them “harder” when they already had alot of health. Even with the brawler mod i punched a butcher that had a sliver of health, didnt kill him, he turned around and upper cut me, then went on to kill the other two guys i was playing with. I quit after seeing that.

AGREED! Are you able to do straw poll? Agree completely with your logic on the comment in spoiler box.

Look, I'm all for challenging strikes. That's cool, but I'd appreciate it if they actually gave relevant rewards. Even if it caps at 350, I'd be happy with that. It just doesn't make sense that a 350 activity caps at 340 rewards. Also, for milestones and weapon quests it seems to be random when it counts your completions, but that seems to be a different problem.
-
I agree with your last edit in the spoiler about the incentive for heroic strikes. Keep the difficulty, they should let us progress to at least 350.
-
Real Talk: Eventually once people level to 350+ and learn to pay attention to the modifiers, Heroics won't be that bad. Last night when it was Grenadier and Grounded, I saw no one using grenades and a lot of people bouncing like a rabbit. Break those habits people. You wanted D1 style Heroics, this is what they were.
-
I love the difficulty. The only problem is the loot, the reward for your time. Additionally once you’re above 350 it’s going to be a cakewalk. Scalable difficulty would be nice.
-
I think they need to change the leveling system. RoI is a good comparison since it's around the same light levels. If I remember blue gear topped of right where you need to be if not a little bit less to do heroics. From then on blue gear was longer viable so you had to use your purple gear now which left you about where you can consider is raid ready. It would be nice if it was the same for d2 more specifically warmind. Blues should at least in my opinion drop us at 345 light so heroics will still be challenging but not difficult. Then purples can maybe take us up to 360 light where we then can really focus on endgame powerful engrams. This is just a thought, let me know what yall think down below Btw
I have been summoned
I agree with your spoiler.
-
Go look at Hunters in The Division on how to make challenging AI without making them bullet sponges that 1 or 2 shot you.
-
I agree with your spoiler. It's not about how difficult it is, it's about having rewards that match that difficulty. Add in the fact that the clan engrams are bugged this week and the problem just sort of multiplies itself.
-
Making enemies bullet sponges is a really lazy way to increase difficulty. They’re still the dumb AI they have always been.
-
... for an ADDITIONAL difficulty setting ..
-
I personally like really challenging games
-
Call these kids out who complain
-
Difficulty =!= bulletsponges .. and a 350 activity should grant you 350 rewards

3 AntwortenBearbeitet von Codykins: 5/11/2018 5:10:10 AMProblem is, Heroic Strikes are a 350 Power activity - - That rewards only up to 340 gear. That is problematic and backwards. It should reward gear up to the required level for the activity, otherwise, there's no point grinding strikes, still, besides the seasonal rewards. Don't get me wrong, they're challenging and fun right now, but with most fresh players being stopped at 340 (345 with all Legendary Mods), AND the refining/update of the power level offset on enemies scaling and making them way stronger against lower power guardians, some strikes, red bar snipers and bosses can literally 1-hit you with a single shot. I was running The Arms Dealer today (Thursday), 349 Power by the way), with Solar Singe, and the Red Bar Cabal with ARC Slugs were 1 shotting me, it's a little ridiculous, especially since I'm not being rewarded squat for the effort. The soft cap should be 350 if the recommended power for the strikes is going to be 350, or the gear dropped from said strikes needs to go up to 350 as well.

Agreed lv up first just like any RPG base

1 AntwortenThat shit is easy. Just move out of the way... duh.

Totally agree with everything Except your title. People were crying 3 hours in not 3 days... same for protocol. Sometimes you just have to wonder about people.

3 AntwortenBearbeitet von Derpy Taco11: 5/10/2018 4:19:20 PMThe difficulty is unfair though. Boosting health and Damage is lazy. As opposed to advancing the enemies' A.I. My post on this issue here. https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/245007095/0/0
