Recommended power is there for a reason! We wanted power level to mean something! We wanted Heroic Strikes to be hard! And currently, they somewhat are! So, save your damn feedback 'till after we reach 370! We can't keep saying things are too hard when WE JUST STARTED and then proceed to ask for those same things to be harder when we hit the cap! These two things cancel each other out, and asking for both is downright hypocritical.
Latest Edit: Below, you can find my 'evaluation' of a majority of the feedback I received on this post. (It was originally placed in a comment but due to a friendly recommendation, I am placing this comment in the spoiler box below as to not allow it to get lost in the comments.)

So, let me get this straight.
Through about 400 comments - most of which I went through; more so than not, we agree upon the problem lying on the incentive to do 'Heroic Strikes'. Where most place their points upon progression, where difficulty does not bring reward equal to it. More specifically, most expect a 350 activity to gradually raise their power level to that of it, if not beyond (majority of suggestions went toward it being at 360).
Thus, this points directly to that of a Rise of Iron progression system, where people want to run strikes 'till they reach a certain cap, and from there they top their progression off with higher level activities, those being raids and nightfalls and in D2's case, maybe Escalation Protocol.
Beyond that, it seems that many also want Heroic Strikes to still be relevant past the cap, which can be done through other forms of reward (grindable weapons and gear specific to Heroic Strikes).
In conclusion, we say let's keep Heroic Strikes where they are in terms of difficulty, but we want better incentive to do them outside of "Milestones". Do you agree by this sentiment? If many do, you may find a post concerning this in the Feedback section in a couple days.

Progression is crap though. I'm not gonna waste time in strikes for garbage below my power level. And then do these quests for more weapons below my power level. Decided to give it a chance and do the first post story quest. Fight off a few hundred enemies to get yet another weapon at 340 which I'm now forced to use to get hundreds of precision kills. Yeah I'm done for a while. Not worth the time. If I dont feel like I'm getting somewhere other than getting garbage weapons that dont for me there's no fun in it. There has to be a goal. Other than more crap I'll never use. And I cant even infuse them to make my choice weapons better. Held out hope thinking maybe they'd get their heads out of their asses with this dlc. Was wrong. Back to other games.

2 AntwortenBearbeitet von JT-Rex-: 5/12/2018 1:15:17 AMBungie really needs to fully explain how light works. % of damage increase per light level. Not once in destiny have we ever got more powerful the higher light we are over a certain activities light. If it’s a 350 strike and we get destroyed at say 345 then when we get to 360 we should be destroying. Unfortunately when we hit 350 we will never see any difference than if we were higher. But when we are under level we are a disadvantage, Over level no advantage. Good logic. They should have kept a seperate heroic playlist with no modifiers as well as the modified playlist. I should be able to experience strikes at a challenging level how they are designed to be played without modifiers as well as a challenge with modifiers if I choose to. It’s like there was no communication by the project lead with the strike developers about how scenarios would play out with certain modifiers are applied. A challenge is always nice but the game is also supposed to be fun. New and returning players will not stay the course if a fun activity turns into a struggle with no reward. So much is right with this dlc but so much just needs to be tweaked. Pvp gets custom matches but pve has no options to play chosen activities. Can’t replay preferred story missions or preferred strikes, but wow we get 1 strike a week (nf) with customisable modifiers that you play once on each character and wait til next week. Not good accessibility.
-
Difficulty and bad modifiers aren’t the same thing. Being one shot because melee attacks are fatal and you have no radar isn’t a fun difficult.
-
My only issue so far is glass I have only done 3 strikes today, but the Pyramidion is BS with the boss's laser almost unavoidable for the last bit of the fight. Other then that glass slows down completing strikes if we got more tokens or higher level gear for this specific modifier it would be tolerable.
-
Difficult is one thing, but this shot be kra.

2 AntwortenBearbeitet von sgJakes: 5/11/2018 10:43:00 PMHard and STUPID are not the same thing! Whoever thought the "glass" modifier would be good ought to be FIRED. Bungie already made us guardians into weaklings and now we gotta deal with a half health and half shield modifier? Plus brawler? Rrally? We were already getting one shot before this. Heroic strikes are a joke right now and the rewards are 336 blue gear? GET REAL
-
I played a couple yesterday and finished them, but this Glass modifier truly makes some strikes near impossible, at least at under 350 power. Thank God it changes daily. I'll play some more tomorrow.

1 AntwortenI gave up for this week, solar burn plus half health/shields is annoying af. Tried doing the strike on earth against the taken, yeah no thanks.

1 AntwortenI don't have a problem with difficult Heroic Strikes. I have a problem with the Heroics being harder then the Nightfall and the loot from them being garbage. The worst of all is while trying to do the 5 Heroic strikes to get the Mars quest done, if it is a "Strike" that is pulled from the story line, lazy as hell programming there Devs, it does not count toward the quest. Me and my fire team did 5 back to back Heroics, 2 of witch were from the story quests, we only got credit for 3. Did two more, they both came up story quests, and they also did not count. All in all it took us over 14 Heroic strikes to get credit for 5.
-
They’re trash. Bungie has no clue. It’s one extreme to the next. That is laziness
-
3 AntwortenAgreed. Yes, I tried a strike. Yes, I got spanked. No, I won't be doing strikes for awhile unless I hook up with some more powerful guardians. But still... brutal battles lie ahead, and I look forward to them.
-
When everything becomes easy again then the complaints will never stop
-
On the Edit reply. I do concur, and I don't think it would be to hard of a change, to increase the gear cap, as they do it every expansion for every other loot source
-
3 Antwortenpretty sure we can all agree that the difficulty for heroic strikes is pretty spot on.... the problem is that the rewards for doing these strikes is non existant. i honestly dont know what bungie is doing with these softcaps. last dlc bungie was all "we want people to reach max light in a variety of ways"..... now you have 2 options, milestones and raids.
-
To be fair, the only people that were really adamant about things being really hard in the game were the Youtubers and streamers. I just wanted the game to at least be as good as D1, and they’ve made some very positive strides in that direction. But I never asked for the game to be super hard, I just wanted it to be fun. I don’t mind a challenge, but Bungie needs to make sure they know who is asking for things to be super hard. Is it content creators? Or is it the majority of the community that just enjoys playing Destiny with some friends? We don’t want to end up with another situation like Nightfall timers where everyone doesn’t do an activity because they’ve made it too hard. That being said let’s wait and see how the difficulty is after we’re all 385.
-
Nightstalker and bottom tree dawnblade. Spam that shit and win.
-
Lol the fuccbois on here would cry if they had to do the original vanilla nightfall. I can just imagine he crying if people still got sent back to orbit for wiping
-
I'm loving heroic strikes!!! I'm sad that they're getting easier as my power increases. Reminds me of old school nightfalls.
-
It's not the strike thats too difficult It's putting up with awful blueberries who haven't a clue or any thumbs. Every so often, I'll get two competent team members. Then it's no problem at all.
-
1 AntwortenOnly doing Heroic Strikes until I get my 5 in for the Sleeper. After that, never again!
-
2 AntwortenI'm not complaining that its difficult. Its all artificial difficulty resulting of a power bottleneck on the game. Has nothing to do with actual difficulty.
-
6 AntwortenGlass modifier + solar burn + pyramidian boss + being under 350 = being one shotted by the boss multiple times over. Yeah, I can't understand why people would have issues with heroic strikes either.
-
lets see. nightfall "endgame" recomended lvl 270, drops gear to raise beyond. regular strike 170,drops gear to raise beyond 170 not endgame. heroic strikes not endgame, recomended lvl 350 which is beyond most of us, plus adds who are more apt to self preserve as well as new modifiers , ok " challenging" very. i cant speek of the rewards because i have not yet been able to matchmake a completion, but if it is recomended at a lvl above all other activities it better drop above all other activities. i like the challenge, but if the rewards dont fall inline then " uuhhmmm" !?
-
Difficulty to me is having something to be stressed about while still being able to kill enemies at a reasonable speed. That said, at 345 and with only the raid and nightfall left for powerful engrams, I won't be at a level capable of doing heroic difficulties without the activity feeling tedious and unenjoyable. If I'm just going to get 340 engrams from everything else, I'm not going to do them. Why attempt something difficult if I'm not being rewarded properly? The Raid requires gathering five other people, which will be difficult and time consuming for me, which is why I haven't completed the Raid, and the raid doesn't guarantee getting better gear; it just gives me a chance at higher level gear. Once I do complete the raid and Nightfall, there's no path to level up that I can see, so why bother doing heroic strikes or even attempt escalation protocol if there's no incentive to power through being underleveled? I wanted difficulty, better progression and more fitting rewards to chase after. I did not want progression to be slowed to a crawl, to be reliant on milestones and a weekly ritual nor enemies who just get more health and don't have to worry about reloading.

1 AntwortenI got the Huckleberry out of an Exotic Engram that I got at the end of a 170 strike. Less tokens and blues from the 170 playlist, but the blues that DO drop come at a relevant light level so it’s still worth it to grind those until you’re 345
-
The reward needs to be commiserate to the grind right now it just isn't imo. That being said who's bright idea was it to pair glass and brawler together as modifiers? that's just silly. Before you can punch anything your dead the so called faster regen is too slow to even have any impact. I despise that glass modifier either pair it with something to balance it out or get rid of it.
