I was always excited and eager to play the expansions and DLC of D1. Friends and clan mates would farm materials and engrams (which did work a few times) then chat while waiting for the new content to open.
However, I have not enjoyed D2 like all of D1. I’m only playing Warmind because I bought the season pass and don’t want to “waste my money.” Most of my friends and clan feel the same and once they do the campaign and maybe the new mode then they will leave again.
Anyone else feel the same?
This isn’t I hate Destiny or fire Luke Smith post. It’s just asking if you are in the same boat.
Edit: To clarify, my point isn’t I hate Destiny (which I stated in my unedited post) it’s that in the past I was excited to get new content. This time around a large part is “I paid for it and might as well play it” feel than excitement. D2 has been a let down but i hope this is a turnaround.
Edit: Beat the campaign. It was short like I expected and it does set up an interesting plot development for the future. I don’t like the power progression being so slow. Why is the new mode set for 370 recommendation but we can’t really enjoy it till a grind of 1-3 weeks? Why does the heroic strike recommend 350 but drop gear below that level? For instance I’m 345 and getting nothing to help progression even slightly from strikes. I’m an alpha/beta and day one player but i don’t get why Bungie can’t find a nice sweet spot for progression because D1 Vanilla was too slow and this seems just as slow. Why did Bungie not test and prevent the bug not counting heroic strikes for milestones and the quest?
I am entertained but I suspect once I get the exotic sword and do the secrets, then I’ll be done. What I’m certain of is I’m not going to pre order the fall expansion or any Bungie products until reviews are done or enough friends give the thumbs up. None of my friends are happy with D2 and we loved D1 so I trust their opinions more than “critics.”

4 AntwortenDownloaded the dlc and played The Division instead. I have absolutely no desire to play Bungievisions cash cow. I never liked the campaigns in Destiny but after all their bullshit they come out with a campaign an 1 1/2 long. What a -blam!-ing joke. -blam!- bungie -blam!- activision I will never buy another product from those cocksuckers

Nah I'm enjoying it
-
Unfortunately not. Wasted money. Playing other games I enjoy right now.
-
Wasted money but I'd rather not waste my time and play something I enjoy instead. Too many great games out there for me to waste my time on this even if I did already pay for it. Hard lesson learned.
-
Yeah letting a game I spent $90+ on sit there didn't feel right. Now I can officially retire Destiny 2 and forget the wasted money.
-
Ya I'm just here to find out if I should even redownload the game or pass

2 AntwortenI haven’t played for ages despite the season pass.

Well, if nothing else, I guess there isn't much reason to play at this point if you don't have the DLC since that is the only thing that opens up a higher power level to chase after. I guess I am mostly just playing at this point because I have friends that want to play together and many who have come back just for the same reason of having the season pass. I have enjoyed having a reason to revisit some of the exotics and see how their buffs played out and so far, that has been entertaining. Beyond that though, I finished up the story line for one character in an hour or two last night. After that, looking forward to the same grind for power levels doesn't seem that appealing. Especially not if I'm going to be pushed towards trials just to get the last bit of power levels. I'm still looking forward to seeing what the new strikes and raid layer look like but I'm not overly optimistic that I will even be sticking around to max out all three characters this time. That for me is a disappointment since I was pro-D2 early on and now I just feel like it's lacking the content and creativity to keep me hooked. Out of two DLC's, I was hoping for something more substantial like new abilities, character class or enemy type more unique than Hive with snow on their shoulders. Where is the "big bad" dark enemy that was foreshadowed before?

1 AntwortenBearbeitet von SlimmerAlloy296: 5/9/2018 5:54:14 PMThere's been an expansion? Looks exactly the same to me. Only slower. And now there's time to make and drink a cup of coffee while you wait for the servers to catch up.

1 AntwortenThey already got people’s money from the season pass, so they could’ve released whatever amount of content for this expansion. I’m not disappointed yet with the content from what I’ve played, but I feel like they have given us a good amount of content to do us till September. The next DLC is where they are going to actually have to work for their money because it won’t be as easy to get people to spend money on this game.

Nope, campaign is pretty short but I expected that,it’s worth a look, game is constantly improving with every update, jump in(excuse the Xbox pun)😃
-
Idk about you but I only got excited with TTK because Dark Below was awful and with HoW I had low expectations with at first (HoW was great btw).
-
Yep. Tried 3 matches of crucible and quit each one after being killed over and over again by kjhovey clones. Utterly awful.
-
I'll play sometime but right now I'm busy enjoying my new Ps4, ps4 exclusives, and destiny 1 again.
-
Tried to play last night but I feel asleep during the cutscenes.

1 AntwortenPlayed a little no 1 available for NF and it was a 23minute wait for guided game so didn’t bother got 344 and have not finished the story when does the raid lair launch?

2 AntwortenBearbeitet von tidus_0893: 5/9/2018 5:05:56 PMI was initially excited as I assumed they would look at the failure of the previous DLC, and create something really interesting. I realized they did not, so now I’m in your boat. I’ll level up and get ready for the raid, but that’s about it. Truly do not understand their actions anymore. Also, I love how much time they spend on updating Eververse every DLC

My first play through story mission with friends, the final boss fight ended with laughter. When I figured out where the precision damage spot was, I told my team to aim for the "glowing urethra." It wasn't lost on any of us that we were fighting a giant phallic symbol.
-
I'm waiting until September where they'll sell the new Expansion along with the other two for really cheap. I'll also get to go through CoO and Warmind with actual gear perks etc... I hope.
-
I bought the season pass but I'm not playing it. Currently enjoying other games.
-
I got the season pass and I'm still not playing
-
Of course I’m playing due to buying the season pass, it’s the least I can do! First nightfall was guided as my clan is dead, it was far from guided, should be hindrance games as that’s what it felt like!
-
I'm playing because I enjoy the game
-
Same for me, this will be the last time i buy a DLC for this game.
