I was always excited and eager to play the expansions and DLC of D1. Friends and clan mates would farm materials and engrams (which did work a few times) then chat while waiting for the new content to open.
However, I have not enjoyed D2 like all of D1. I’m only playing Warmind because I bought the season pass and don’t want to “waste my money.” Most of my friends and clan feel the same and once they do the campaign and maybe the new mode then they will leave again.
Anyone else feel the same?
This isn’t I hate Destiny or fire Luke Smith post. It’s just asking if you are in the same boat.
Edit: To clarify, my point isn’t I hate Destiny (which I stated in my unedited post) it’s that in the past I was excited to get new content. This time around a large part is “I paid for it and might as well play it” feel than excitement. D2 has been a let down but i hope this is a turnaround.
Edit: Beat the campaign. It was short like I expected and it does set up an interesting plot development for the future. I don’t like the power progression being so slow. Why is the new mode set for 370 recommendation but we can’t really enjoy it till a grind of 1-3 weeks? Why does the heroic strike recommend 350 but drop gear below that level? For instance I’m 345 and getting nothing to help progression even slightly from strikes. I’m an alpha/beta and day one player but i don’t get why Bungie can’t find a nice sweet spot for progression because D1 Vanilla was too slow and this seems just as slow. Why did Bungie not test and prevent the bug not counting heroic strikes for milestones and the quest?
I am entertained but I suspect once I get the exotic sword and do the secrets, then I’ll be done. What I’m certain of is I’m not going to pre order the fall expansion or any Bungie products until reviews are done or enough friends give the thumbs up. None of my friends are happy with D2 and we loved D1 so I trust their opinions more than “critics.”

1 AntwortenYeah although idk why I was dumb enough to buy the season pass. I hope the September dlc is free and literally gets rid of 4v4, the weapon system, and everything else awful with this game otherwise I'm out.
-
Same here, I only played for the first day and now will not tough it again. The September update better be free. None on my friends play this game anymore, they really need to get player back and I don’t see people wanting to pay for any more content.
-
Yup.... there will be no taken king style update that will get me to purchase the next expansion this year, I am out after I try the raid a couple times, non of my core concerns have been addressed and it seems that pvp is still there main focal point, which is just weird in a looter shooter but ehh w/e Was decent while it’s lasted, I mean disregarding all of destiny 2 that is.

18 AntwortenThe new expansion is awesome and bungie has done great job with all the changes, the war mind is a very intriguing story as well, I will be pre ordering the next one. This is not satire
-
Nope, I'm not playing dlc. I picked the game up for $9 and I'm still a little disappointed.
-
2 AntwortenCouldn't agree more, feel like the expansion was just to give something to people who paid a little more. There is just no content and longevity. Everything about D2 is thankless by the limitations of power & softcaps! Fairly long grind with a 345 item level reward is just stupid! Why increase 5 new levels and provide enough experience in 1 event to cap it. That'll be me done! Destiny will be a "what could if been". Can't see them pulling this back.

Admittedly, I’m having a bit of fun, more than I did with CoO. But it’s nowhere near enough for me to consider buying anything else from Bungie. They’ve made far too many egregious missteps to this point a studio of their caliber should have NEVER done. They’ve damage their brand too much and acted too innocuous over their own controversies. I’m a try to get my money’s worth out of Warmind, but that’s going to come with the cost of getting bored of it, eventually. After that, I’m done.

Bearbeitet von TheShadow-cali: 5/9/2018 3:56:30 AMI'm glad I didn't pre-order. I rather see honest post like this then the Fake post that say things like... "Bungie is doing an awesome job on turning this game around" Your post is all I needed to know to not waste my money. I'll wait for the 3rd expansion and see if Bungie actually added actual content in the game that might be worth playing. Bungie has the means to make this game better but why they didn't add things like a raid that they did with The Dark Below I don't understand. It's like they cut everything in half of what D1 started out like. Yet gamers are paying the same price if not more for less? In spite of what some of you might say because how I poke at Bungie lol. I do want to play this game but not until I see it actually improving, but OMG that is going to be a long wait. I will not pay a company for a second time to fix their game just to add back what was already in the game. They cut 2 years of content if not more from D2. Where is it???

Season pass holder right here

Own it through season pass. Downloaded it. Haven't played it. Don't care about the $20 dollars. It's 20 bucks Just would rather play fortnite. KOTOR2 is next priority I played destiny for the PvP. No excitement there anymore Would pay $100 dollars to play ToO House of Wolves era as a blade dancing quickdrawing TLW/close quarter combat Sniping guardian. Would drop fortnite in a second But destiny has gone down hill ever since then Bring back thorn/shotgun vs TLW/sniper. That was when the skill ceiling was at its highest. Pure intense fun.

2 AntwortenActually, I’m enjoying it. I’m getting a lot of mileage out of hunting down all the secrets. It might not be a large Expansion in terms of size, but it feels denser ( I hope this comment makes sense ). I am upset with the current progression road block that I’ve come up across, there’s content there that I want to do but I can’t because I’m under leveled ( Heroic Strikes, Excavation Protocol ) so I’m not sure how long I’ll keep playing since this game has no Horizontal progression ( random loot drops ) and Bungie has erected a wall in front of my Vertical progression ( power lv. ). Still, it feels as if Bungie has restored something from Destiny that Destiny 2 was lacking.

2 AntwortenI would have bought it anyway. It’s a good time for a 20 beans. All that’s missing it activity specific random rolls. September!!!
-
2 AntwortenYea. It's not terrible though. Hopefully they change in September
-
I paid but im actually enjoying everything: I am looking fof secrets by myself and im not looking them up on the internet because that would ruin the experience for me.
-
10 AntwortenI have the season pass but I refuse to play this shit, I might have wasted my money but I’m not going to waste my time, this game sucks!
-
5 AntwortenI have the season pass and have zero intention of even logging in.
-
Same here. Ive paid for it so I am playing it. The missions were.....ok. I thought the whole thing felt a bit more dark and atmospheric which was good. I dont think I will be doing it again on my other two characters though. On a lighter note, some of Titans shoulders look much better than the huge shoe boxes we are accustomed to.

4 AntwortenI need a new clan. When D2 dropped I joined a clan and at its peak had 16 players. I was the only one left when CoO dropped, nobody came back. And nobody came back for warmind. Just me. Tear...
-
6 AntwortenPre-ordered the pass like a dumbass. So I'll probably be here for at least month.
-
1 AntwortenBasically. Played the campaign today hoping the usual hope of it being better. No story, didn't even make any sense. The writing was so terrible.... Who is writing these scripts?? Like "yes we made it" or "Rasputin listened to me". Like this isn't grade 1 story time. Sigh.

-
1 AntwortenOnly reason I’m playing. Really hoped they’d take a step forward but instead they are tripping all over the place. So many bugs and issues. I thought they were a AAA developer
-
Yeah I'm only play cuz I paid for the session pass. The story was worse then the last dlc the had. I will not be play d3 for sure.
-
3 AntwortenYep, this is my last DLC. Destiny just isn’t fun anymore. My thoughts on this DLC: 1. Strikes are still useless. 2. Snipers are still useless. 3. Campaign still too easy and too short. 4. Ms. Bray, like Osiris, totally useless, shallow, and for endgame nothing more than a another useless vendor. 5. This DLC... much reused, recolored assets from WOTM. 6. Bungie still not listening.
