I was always excited and eager to play the expansions and DLC of D1. Friends and clan mates would farm materials and engrams (which did work a few times) then chat while waiting for the new content to open.
However, I have not enjoyed D2 like all of D1. I’m only playing Warmind because I bought the season pass and don’t want to “waste my money.” Most of my friends and clan feel the same and once they do the campaign and maybe the new mode then they will leave again.
Anyone else feel the same?
This isn’t I hate Destiny or fire Luke Smith post. It’s just asking if you are in the same boat.
Edit: To clarify, my point isn’t I hate Destiny (which I stated in my unedited post) it’s that in the past I was excited to get new content. This time around a large part is “I paid for it and might as well play it” feel than excitement. D2 has been a let down but i hope this is a turnaround.
Edit: Beat the campaign. It was short like I expected and it does set up an interesting plot development for the future. I don’t like the power progression being so slow. Why is the new mode set for 370 recommendation but we can’t really enjoy it till a grind of 1-3 weeks? Why does the heroic strike recommend 350 but drop gear below that level? For instance I’m 345 and getting nothing to help progression even slightly from strikes. I’m an alpha/beta and day one player but i don’t get why Bungie can’t find a nice sweet spot for progression because D1 Vanilla was too slow and this seems just as slow. Why did Bungie not test and prevent the bug not counting heroic strikes for milestones and the quest?
I am entertained but I suspect once I get the exotic sword and do the secrets, then I’ll be done. What I’m certain of is I’m not going to pre order the fall expansion or any Bungie products until reviews are done or enough friends give the thumbs up. None of my friends are happy with D2 and we loved D1 so I trust their opinions more than “critics.”

I've bought season pass. Shame on me, yes. Didn't play any of addons a second. Now I see this "Annual pass" thing and just laugh.

1 AntwortenA week ago I would have said no. But that was a week ago. I played well over 500 hrs. on XB1, thru CoO and I enjoyed the game play enough that I then purchased it on PC (was on sale and I wanted to see what it was like on PC and I was looking forward to starting from square one again.) Now I've got about 180 hrs. on PC. So I played a fair amount. I'm not a PvP'er. I did a few raids on XB1, but it really isn't that much fun (tedious is the word that comes to mind for me). I did a raid on PC and it was just as tedious (no, I didn't expect it to be different, but I wanted to see it on PC). The new DLC is disappointing for me. I like the harder strikes, but the rewards are lackluster to say the least. I run away if someone kicks off EP. I'm not seeing the fun in it yet. Maybe if I level up a bit IDK. My guess is this game will become a one day a week game for me, until it becomes zero days per week. I certainly will not purchase the September release until it's been out a couple weeks and I can see what the community feedback is. If they miss the mark in September I think D2 is done, maybe the end of Destiny. We'll see I guess.

5 AntwortenI’m not playing since I made the decision not to get the season pass and I’m not trying to waste money at this point. ;)
-
4 AntwortenI’m Season pass holder and I’ve been having fun with this dlc, it’s far from perfect but it’s an improvement. It’s on them to deliver big in September if they want this franchise to keep going.

Not at all, plenty of challenge in this dlc. Don't see why people are so salty.
-
1 AntwortenPlaying? Lmao, you mean played. I quit after doing the campaign. Something about how boring it is to grind in Destiny 2 just doesn’t attract me. Even Destiny 1s grind was better. I loved the crap out of D1.
-
I'm waiting until the next update to chime in so I don't kill the dlc in like a day.
-
3 AntwortenI am here because of that pass, I will remain to remind Bungie how shit this game is, but I will not be buying the expansion or anything from Bungie ever again
-
2 AntwortenDarn thing was an obligation to me honestly, after this bungie can literally jump off a roof with a bungee cord if the next dlc isn’t good.
-
1 AntwortenI used to take vacation from work for D1 expansions. Now I really couldn't care less.
-
I haven't even played and I have the stupid season pass. The re-skinned weapons and stupid grind have basically turned me off Destiny completely. Too many other good games out now. F*** Destiny 2.
-
2 AntwortenI have th season pass and i cant even bring myself to start d2 up
-
11 AntwortenYes. I imagine I'll be back to warframe in a week.
-
Wouldn’t have got Warmind if I didn’t already buy it
-
Played the story on the expansion on one character. Got level 30 and 345 power. I'm done again until September. Hopefully it is a huge update and overhaul on the scale of taken king. This game needs so many changes. D2 just plain pales in comparison to D1. Like you said. Only played it because I already paid for it.

2 AntwortenPretty much. New ice thralls are pretty neat I guess. 😑
-
Pretty sure I'm gonna buy Destiny 2 6 months after it's RoI comes out so I'll get it all for $20 if it even goes that far.

Bearbeitet von fakkelbrigade: 5/12/2018 6:56:39 PMI bought it but I am not playing, I have far better things to do, then a few story missions, a horde mode and a fake raid.
-
Yep. Bought the season pass nearly a year ago and I'm simply using what I paid for... No regrets at all... No tears... Crap, I hate what they've done to the lore from D1 into D2. And Crucible... Okay, I'm done.
-
19 AntwortenYep. I plan to play the campaign then delete the game. Ive already seen old exotics being resold to us. Im not interested in this shitty business practice, or shit game. Meanwhile fortnite keeps delivering fresh content and events every month.
-
11 AntwortenI feel the same way. I started playing it because I had the season pass. I won’t be preordering again and I’ll probably leave the game after I finish this dlc.
-
If that’s what you’re doing, you’re not sending any message to bungie. Yes you are. Keep making substandard crap I’ll buy it.
-
I bought the season pass, but I also bought breath of the wild last month... so maybe I’ll get back to D2 in like.... two or three months, depending what the IB armour looks like... Maybe.
-
I bought DELUXE Edition... And I even don't want to play this thing and I think I won't... I feel like have defrauded...
-
I got the season pass for free and didn't even bother to download this yet
-
1 AntwortenYeah although idk why I was dumb enough to buy the season pass. I hope the September dlc is free and literally gets rid of 4v4, the weapon system, and everything else awful with this game otherwise I'm out.
