It's been across reddit and these forums that we do NOT WANT EVERVERSE. Yet you expand on her in this next dlc.
You claim to be listening but you do the opposite. We didn't say reduce her activity or add a new gambling mechanism. 90% of the community asked you to remove eververse.
You care so much about the money from those activities, but do you guys consider the goodwill you're ruining? The people that don't come back from yet another dlc with added lootboxes? Why do you put in effort in game segments that are not requested by the community? A dying community?
I'd love to hear an answer to any of these questions.
To recap. REMOVE EVERVERSE
EDIT: sorry but I am kinda losing track with all the comments but the moral of the story is, most of those that disagree with me are literally just cussing at me for being whining while I provide legitimate feedback for something bungie is not acknowledging.
So if you are one of those people that trash talk anyone saying their opinion about anything you disagree with, please show yourself out.
The others that disagreed or agreed but remained civil, thanks for contributing. I hope bungie will see at least the title to see this mindset is not dead yet.
As when it dies, that is the moment we really lose to corporate greed.
Edit 2:
People are actually defending eververse. This is what's wrong with the gaming community, especially the bungie forums.
It's disappointing to see that people do not see what is wrong with it, or choose to play it down like it is irrelevant. They add more gear into eververse than in the dlc itself. Imagine if we would have been able to earn that stuff in game. It would keep you busy, instead you wait for luck and hundreds of hours of slot machines to get the items you want. Or you pay

1 AntwortenUntil and unless you protest every game with micro transactions and shout it down everywhere, you are tilting at windmills. Go yell the same, with minor changes, at Epic and the current darling of some gamers eyes in fortnite. At least eververse items are obtainable through just playing. Or go yell at rockstar, 2k, and every studio out there. Like, really, really follow through with the thing and boycott all gaming. If you don't, or you can't see why to do it there, you are being a hypocrite and just wanting to continue on the bandwagon of hating on destiny and are the one too blind to recognize it. Eververse actually has become more no-pay friendly than ever, especially if you know how to work the matrix for maximum reward by saving that free use for Monday nights/a few hours before reset after using all your well rested and other level up engrams to try and obtain as many of the items in the list to cut down on what's left to choose from. See, I and my clan have been playing the game, not even worrying about the matrix or eververse, and several of us have already closed it out or have only one or two items left in it, and haven't used that activation yet. But this works too, I guess.

1 AntwortenEververse is a GOLD DIGGER!! Please, put an end to that h- ok..ok... we can calm down for a bit. (:

1 Antwortenim really surprised to see people defending microtransactions in a full price AAA game with full price shit dlc's you people need to watch some YongYea and hear the truth

3 AntwortenI dont find eververse a problem because its all about cosmetics. Nothing she sells is game changing. Do I want the cool shells, ships or armour? Ofc but I can live and play w/o those too. This option will never be removed like all AAA games have this kind of microtransactions, but in D2 u can also earn them by playing so it's fine by me.
-
Eververse gives some pretty cool stuff. I like getting it for just playing the game.

3 Antworten<For the last time, YOU CAN'T REMOVE IT FROM D2'S SYSTEM!! You have to settle for "tone it the -blam!- down" when it comes to present Eververse. All these things about "Remove Eververse" should be focused on D3 so that it doesn't touch it.>

7 AntwortenFirstly "WHERE are you listening..."? Very strangely worded question...I think you just mean "Are you listening..." Secondly, it constantly amazes me that young people living in the USA, THE MOST CAPITALISTIC NATION ON EARTH are so outraged by US Companies attempting to make a profit. Do you not understand that is the purpose of a company's existence? Thirdly, they always claim to be speaking for 90%, IDK where they get that from but it is usually complete nonsense. Did they really create a survey for the all-time Destiny players who never visit this forum or Redditt because there are millions of them. That is probably the real 90%, players who don't complain and don't care

12 AntwortenBearbeitet von AMG_Venusaur: 5/9/2018 2:32:09 AMEververse was put into the game to bolster the abysmal profit margins of D1. It has continued to stay in the game because at this point its the only way that Bungie can continue to meet their contractual profit obligations to big Daddy Hacktivision. Mind you that with that said I'm not trying to paint Activision as the bad guy here. Not fully anyhow. When D1 was in production Bungo signed a publishing contract with Hacktivision stating that in exchange for giving them the funds to develop and release D1, the Game would meet certain financial obligations. For those not buisness savy this is called a return of investment. Around the time Eververse was announced Bungie was not holding up their end of the contract that they signed and were being pressured by corporate lawyers from Hacktivision. So what they did was make a microtransaction system and then told us as a community that the funds from it would be used to fund future content. Now strictly speaking this wasn't a lie. The funds from EV allowed Bunghole to keep their doors open and thus put out more content. However the way that the community was told is that this content was free and that was an outright fabrication. Sure we got Crimson Days, Festival of the Cost and The Dawning. But at the same time when it was announced, it was done in a manner that made it seem as though it was funding free DLC. With this not being the case it led to tumultuos outrage and a public outcry against EV and leads us to where we are today. The present iteration of EV exists for the same reason it was first conceived. Now I personally believe that a lot of the time and effort that goes into it would be better served elsewhere but thats not really something we have control of. The bottom line is that we will never see the removal or scaling back of EV without it being replaced by something more obnoxious. What should be taken away from this tale however, specifically by Bungie, is that there needs to be transparency between the player base and the developer. This cloak and dagger shit is only interesting for a little bit before the community gets fed up. If they had simply told us "hey if you want us to keep making this game you're gonna need to help us out with money" the community might have recieved it better. Hopefully this is a little enlightening for you all.

1 AntwortenSuggestion for you. Find a new hobby. I know it is harsh but it is true. Millions upon millions spend billions on MTX through mobile, console and PC games. It is here to stay. Maybe it will get better in some ways but it is not going anywhere.

1 AntwortenCry all you want. But until people STOP buying silver, nothing is going to change. Money talks, and it's saying eververse is profitable.
-
1 AntwortenI like eververse and guess I haven't spent a penny on silver. But please tell me how I got all my tess items? Wait I know I played the darn game

2 AntwortenShut up.

10 AntwortenNOITHING is wrong with Eververse. What is wrong is everyone thinking they HAVE to get everything. They have to have it handed to them. They have to do away with everything that is completely optional to begin with that doesn't unbalanced the game at all. You have an addiction that is your issue. WE don't need to remove Eververse we need to remove addicts like you from the game. But hey Bungie rather milk you suckers so cry as you PAY them to keep it.

1 AntwortenOhhh my This guy rng is bad Also he just want to baby cry

1 AntwortenYou do know it only sells ghosts, shaders, emotes, ugly armour, etc? Doesn’t effect game play! Veterans care more for the bringing back the rest of the game not pointless shiny things!

2 AntwortenBearbeitet von TheShadow-cali: 5/8/2018 6:28:02 AMHey! didn't you hear? Bungie had a "community summit". Not that there was anyone there for the community but "they are listing" because they said so lol. Edit:There are some people that will never get it. https://www.bungie.net/en/News/Article/13672
Our plan is to use these new items to bolster the service provided by our live team for another full year, as they grow and create more robust and engaging events that we’ll announce later this year. It has been, and continues to be, our goal to deliver updates to the game. Going forward, our live team is also looking to grow beyond vital updates and improvements to focus on world events, experiences, and feature requests.
Here we're in D2 and barley any content has been adding to this game in 8 months. What makes it worse is that 75% of the rewards in this game are literally Useless just like the cosmetics that do absolutely Nothing for this game. Micro was created for companies to create (content) for their game. D1 started out with No Micro and it had more in-game usable items then the entire D2 and that is a fact. Bungie hasn't offered Jack since D2 released but yet they are sill looking for that money and you gamers that say "you don't have to buy" are foolish "trying" to use that weak at best argument knowing you are not the ones that are the target. Micro only says to gaming companies that take advantage of it. We don't have to make in-game content that is usable or much of it at all when we can put it behind a paywall making it a lot less accessible for gamers that just play the game, but make sure we hype the crap out of it and make it all look shiny "a must have" Someone else said this but it's true.
Its pretty sad when the microtransaction mechanism has more depth than the entire subclass tree
3 AntwortenWhat you "Remove Eververse" people don't seem to understand, is that all that nifty stuff you're coveting in the eververse store, wouldn't exist without eververse. If they remove eververse, all the shiny shit goes with it. It wouldn't make them put more in the game, it would leave us with less. So, either you want shiny shit, and are willing to pay extra or grind for it, OR, you want less interesting stuff in the game.
-
It's cute seeing the BDF and sheep defend Eververse. It's been over 6 months and these kids still think Eververse is "purely cosmetic." What a joke 😂
-
2 AntwortenYou got support from me. Micro-transactions have no business in fully priced games with paid dlc. Period. Instead of devoting assets into cosmetic loot boxes, how about investing them into all new exotics!? We were told all our gear from D1 was destroyed, yet they return to add an extra illusion to the grind. Feels like this was always part of the plan-to reuse old assets to cut costs. Do better Bungo and before the Fall too while you still have something left of your player base.
-
1 AntwortenFunny as hell that anyone who supports Eververse (They're all Bungie Employees .. or just one) is downvoted to "0"! I think the OP is dead on with this post. Bungie doesn't listen and this game is still garbage.
-
Ugh are we doing this again?

Eververse itself was never the problem. It just became the scapegoat. The problem is that the game is lacking in incentive and content. Removing eververse would not magically fix those issues. It would only make it slightly worse or slightly better for a short while depending on how it would have been handled. Then there is the issue that a games as a service game needs a revenue stream. Otherwise it wont be sustainable. So if you want to remove eververse. You need to come up with some other way to make money on the game. I challenge you to find a less imposing more consumer friendy implementation than Eververse. Is Eververse perfect? Not at all. And there are legitimate discussions that can be had about the ethics behind loot boxes for paid content. However it is one of the least invasive and most consumer friendly systems I have seen in any online game. So there is that.
-
You didn't give a single reason eververse should be removed except that you want it removed. My question is, why? The main reason most people wanted Eververse to be toned down is because the Dawning was almost entirely Eververse based. Eververse isn't hurting a single thing in the game right now. In fact, it's added a way to get guaranteed exotic cosmetics without duplication. And the fact that it's ALL cosmetic is the reason it doesn't hurt the game. The problem is when they base entire events around Eververse, which I highly doubt will ever happen again because of the Dawning fiasco.

I agree with you
