Please dont make the climb to the Level Cap any harder.
These changes will do nothing but punish those of us who are incapable of spending hours upon hours on activities like the Raids and Trials.
We find pleasure in coming together for what little time we have to play Destiny and progress together and see that progress reflected in our Light Level. Seeing our level go up only by very small numbers after finishing activities that grant “Powerful Rewards” will feel frustrating and will not be fun for anyone stuck in the same situation.
I believe those of us who DO spend time on Raids and Trials and attempting to hit the highest score on Nightfalls should be greatly rewarded, but letting them get to the Level Cap way before those who dont have the time or the friends to play with is not a good way of doing so.
Please consider a different way of rewarding the highly dedicated players that doesn’t involve placing Road Blocks bewtween the players and the Level Cap.

Bungie really needs to figure out how to get the solo and smaller clan players involved in the Raid for pve. Not sure how to do it other than designing the raid around a 3 or 4 man team. Don't know if possible but possibly they could design the Raid in the future to cater to a 6 man team for the larger clans and 3 man raid for the smaller clans and solo players. Regardless of which one you do, thats your 1 time for the week for that character.

1 AntwortenWhy do you need to be max light when you're a solo player. You aren't doing any activities that require high light lmao
-
Eater of worlds raid can be done start to finish in 30 minutes.

3 AntwortenFFS...
Please dont make the climb to the Level Cap any harder.
It's never been easier and more meaningless than it is now. You barely have to play. And even if you do manage to lag behind, you're not really weaker. Because power has almost unnoticeable effect.
These changes will do nothing but punish those of us who are incapable of spending hours upon hours on activities like the Raids and Trials.
No. These changes will reward raids and trials players according to the involvement these activities require. You are chosing to feel this as punishment, but you and the other egocentric solo players are just being envious. If you can't have something then nobody else should, right?
We find pleasure in coming together for what little time we have to play Destiny and progress together and see that progress reflected in our Light Level. Seeing our level go up only by very small numbers after finishing activities that grant “Powerful Rewards” will feel frustrating and will not be fun for anyone stuck in the same situation.
That pleasure is not going away if you stop comparing yourself to others and begrudging them for every reason you can find. The milestone system will still be in effect. You will still be able to knock off your milestones in one short evening and leave with comfort in the knowledge that no one can get ahead of you no matter how long they play. The whole player base will "wait for you". Oh yes, except those elitist raids & trials players.
I believe those of us who DO spend time on Raids and Trials and attempting to hit the highest score on Nightfalls should be greatly rewarded, but letting them get to the Level Cap way before those who dont have the time or the friends to play with is not a good way of doing so.
What? How do you propose to do that? By what magical process do you "greatly reward" raids & trials players without them getting more rewards than those who just play a few hours here and there and expect everyone to progress at the same rate? Draw me a picture of how we do that.
Please consider a different way of rewarding the highly dedicated players that doesn’t involve placing Road Blocks bewtween the players and the Level Cap.
What way? What is not going to make you bitch about not getting it? We've already established that higher power loot is just going to make you all butthurt, so not that. Better loot in terms of perks? Surely not, because that's something you'll never be able to get without raids and trials, even when you catch up in power. Cosmetic shit then? That must be it! ----- It's high time for Bungie to put an end to this naive social experiment and make it so we progress (however slowly) whenever we play, progress more if we play more, and progress faster if we play harder activities. That's how human nature expects it. You may not realize it, but you do too. What is proposed in this TWAB doesn't even go far enough.

I smell a filthy casual

3 AntwortenThe solution is simple: reward those who play the endgame content and make their progression faster. It only makes sense. Those who don’t complete Prestige Nightfall/Leviathan/EoW and Trials shouldn’t be on par with endgame players.
-
5 AntwortenYes, please let people continue to just spam patrol events for max light. It really makes sense for the game to never need to do the end-game and we can all just be "Legend" together equally with little to no teamwork, communication, or effort.
-
Take your time? Also why does light matter if you don't even have time for the endgame? Besides, destiny is a time consuming game, not sure what you expect
-
Like many others said. If your not doing end game activities. Why does light level matter to you. It means nothing. The cap needs to be increased and only those who have the time to play the game reach the cap
-
Or or or....take your time? No ones rushing you especially if you’re playin solo, you’re the only one who wants you to hit max no ones waiting on you as a solo player
-
1 AntwortenSounds to me like you want smoke blown up your ass. You want "max" light, but you don't want to do the hardest, most demanding content.
-
4 AntwortenIf you're a solo player who doesn't do the raid, why do you need to be a higher might level? You don't. If you don't play the endgame, you don't need to be leveled for the endgame. It's that simple.
-
I think personally it's not fair to the players who put in more effort. Even though it's "fair to everyone" already, it really drains the value of doing end game activities. I've never heard of a game that allowed you to consistently level off of an activity that anyone can do and any game like that will end up pissing off players who actually invest their time into the game. I hate to be the one to break it to you, but this game was never designed for single player...play, and if you don't want to adapt at least a little, you shouldn't be playing this game. I know it's a lot easier for me to say that than it is to get someone to do it, but you have to at least try and move out of your comfort zone. If you don't have the time to do certain activities, then it shouldn't even matter to you to have to worry about these changes, because higher light only matters for endgame activities, which you said certain players don't have time for.

Lately I’ve been suggesting more activities for solo players. Strikes that are longer with mechanics from the Raids. Someone posted about solo Raids and it got a positive response from Cozmo(might of dmg, I forget which one). Also if Patrols had more engaging events and more things to do I’d be all over it. I love patrolling and it would be nice to see a massive boost to activities there. Tons of players out there are playing solo and I don’t see Bungie driving them away. They can compromise with groups and solo players by adding more activities that work for both.
-
I must be a different type of solo player.😐

15 AntwortenThis game is not for casuals. Casuals should not have the resources to reach max level if they don't work for it. In D1 up till the first April update, the ONLY way to reach max level was to do Raids, Nightfalls and Iron Banner. NOTHING else would get you there.

4 AntwortenBearbeitet von Jeebs: 4/20/2018 1:33:17 PMMan, If Could get 20 man Mythic Raid gear or even normal 10 man raid gear In Wow as a solo player it would ruin the entire endgame it would make it pointless just like Destiny's endgame is currently., the more difficult the activity the more powerful gear you should get. I still don't think they are going far enough with the power changes, like it's still the same a dude rolling around doing milestones will become as powerful as someone who has completed Prestige Raids/Nightfall's just slower. They need to make endgame worth repeating, they need a Decent Gameplay loop, Power should mean power the higher it goes the more damage you do etc, and It should be very difficult to get to max power before the next DLC(expansion lol) drops. This may seem harsh but it's a loot game, difficulty should yield the most powerful items In the game.

1 AntwortenTime for all the 'Lone Wolves" to find a different game to play. Destiny has always been more fun to play when in a fireteam. You play the way you want that's your decision. This change in progression(end-game to reach hard cap) is exactly what's needed to help get D2 back on track. Just like Yr1 D1. You wanna be Lvl 30? VOG was the way and getting the armor drop you wanted was tough. Many forever 29s as a result. I'm 100% okay with this.
-
how does it not sense that people who dont do end game content and or do not put as much time into the game have to take more time to reach max power level? if you dont do end game content and or put as much time in the game of course it makes sense that you dont reach max power as fast.
-
Jesus christ, if you arent going to do trials/raid then light level is useless d2 is a social game. if you want to be solo, dont complain when you require a team to reach max light
-
Its way too easy to get max level as it is. It needs to be changed. I play a lot of solo and like the idea of having to team up again to play the harder stuff.
-
If you dont like it, go play pokemon

2 Antworten
Dont punish the Small Groups & Solo Players
I'm a solo player and I think it's way too easy right now to become max power. I don't Raid or do Trials and I'm perfectly fine with those who do receiving, no, earning better, higher power gear faster than me. Just like in D1 in the beginning, if you didn't run the Raids, you weren't getting the to the level cap.....period.
-
I'm happy to see that progression is going to be slowed and I don't know how much I'm going to be able to play. All solo activities don't have high level requirements so it won't make any difference if it takes longer to get to max level for you. You'll still be able to complete milestones which will offer gear much higher than your level. If you don't want to play the team activities that have high level requirements that's fine. But challenging parts of the game should be rewarding. You shouldn't expect to level as fast as someone that is prepared to take on challenging content and you can't ask for the milestones for the raids and nightfall to be removed because you don't want to play them.

Bearbeitet von BossCharacter: 4/21/2018 6:39:41 PMIf the power creep is similar to D1 then it shouldn’t be overly difficult to get even if you solo play. Plus it’s not a race. Nor should you worry about “Keeping up with the Joneses” or in this instance “Keeping up with a bunch of people who have nothing really going on in their life outside of vidya games or making themselves feel like the biggest of boys/girls by shite posting on every topic simply because they crave for someone to agree with them and validate their internet self worth.”

Bearbeitet von Rapscallion: 4/21/2018 2:13:40 PMIf you don't complete everything in the game, why should you be the highest possible level..?
