  • Because I have to play by myself I'm getting penalized. The people that I made friends with have all left the game. I come back every now and then with high hopes, but it's just over for me with this game. Yet another kick in the sacc. No hope for solo players.

      Dont make the cap require raiding if you arent going to include a LFG IN THE ACTUAL GAME The endgame satisfaction we wanted was getting God Rolls on randomized weapons and armor, not having our level gimped unless we use external websites to form teams with randoms (lord knows none of our friends play anymore).

      • Very much disagree with the elimination of exotic drops being up to 5 light levels above your current level. In D1, we would farm POE/ strikes/ Archon Forge/ crucible for that needed piece of exotic armor to hit max light. As a compromise, why don’t you reduce the exotic drop rate to mitigate/ deter exploitation. Here’s a huge problem for your game right now: Tuesday rolls around and players knock out the weekly milestones within a few hours. Because exotics aren’t like they were in D1, there’s no point in continuing to play the game for the rest of the week as no higher level gear/ drops are available. Raids/ Trials relies heavily on time investment to put together and coordinate a fire team of 4/6 and is not for solo players. In turn, what happens is that people play the game for a few hours on Tuesday, then pull the lever at the vendor slot machine hoping for their needed drop. If the piece doesn’t drop, then it’s right back to Fortnite/ PUBG/ whatever. In my opinion, your changes just seems like a way to artificially slow down progression. Allow players to stay connected and derive value/ progression from your game all week. I get it, raids and trials add additional opportunities for higher gear, but if I can’t find a team of 4/6, or don’t have time, then I’ll see you the following Tuesday. I think you guys need to look at D1’s reward/ loot system and allow exotics to drop up to 5 light levels above your current level. Additionally, you need to add strike specific loot/ chests like in D1 that provide that needed pieces of gear/ weapons up to 5 light levels above your current light. This keeps players playing all week long. Again, please refer to D1 for examples. I don’t want to pull the lever and walk away for the week after 5 milestones or whatever it is. I should be able to find value within your game all week long. If you want, make the exotics drop from those end-game/ high-level activities. But, don’t throttle/regulate my availability of high level loot sources. Keep it challenging, reduce the rates, mitigate exploitation, but keep me playing. Don’t just push me into a multi-hour raid or trials run. Again, just my thoughts/ opinions. Thanks

        • Woah, so forcing people to play a broken and probably the worst gamemode in Destiny history will be the best way to level up, Trials. That's like making an event being the best way to level up, which i have to wait a week until i can do it. Really, you guys are completely braindead -.- As to say the raid is not any better, those are the two modes which probably have to lowest player number and that is your idea of changing that? By the way i guess leveling up will be the only reason overall and still no loot to go for. Why the hell should someone do this?

            Well the we are listening didn’t last long , you only hear what you want to hear I’m not against grinding but making it impossible for a lot the your player base to reach max lvl is just stupid , instead of giving us a reason to log on and play , you’ve give us another reason not to play. Surely even Bungie could have come up with a better way to slow us down a bit without making it impossible for lots of people Even making the milestones take longer to complete would have been a better option , and keep us playing , instead of the 3/4 hrs it is now per char to complete Just my opinion I’ve just recently come back after 4 months and now looks like I’ll be leaving again , even some of my clan members had come back , but now I’m hearing them talking about leaving again. this time I won’t return you had your chance, Like it or not, a lot of players are solo players , do really think this is going to keep them ? Well done Bungie !

          • The reimplementation of “Forever 29” into Destiny 2 is not progress! Those dedicated SOLO players like myself already have little reason to persist. You have now removed that little incentive. Those dedicated Raiders and Trials players left, unlike me, played for fun, and you have done zero to improve the fun! Good luck... TLDR: forcing teamshooting into PVE will not save this game. Dead is dead...

              That TWAB is the exact opposite of helping this game recover. You really think people want to play that terrible raid and the most unconceieveably broken and exploited PVP gamemode to earn drops that increase a nearly useless power level by obtaining the same uninaginative weapons and armor pieces that have been dropping repeatedly for over half a year? That sir, is crazy. Make better loot, fix Trials, make a NEW raid, and make power level matter like it did in D1... [i]Then[/i] you can worry about making the path to greatness something of value.

              • Positively surprised by this High Altitude update! Threw together a thread of ideas for progression and gameplay additions in feedback. A lot of it may already be on the Bungie lazy Susan for later seasonal release.               • I really think bungie has to address the issue of solo players not having a direct path to build endgame skills and a reliable in game ability to match up with players for endgame. Teams need to know that players is ready. Story, public’s and strikes where players can be carried isn’t enough to prepare players for endgame activities. Bungie really needs a hard endgame difficulty solo raid arena (raid like elements using ghost and mic maybe)that gives gear to help in the raid and unlocks an unlimited raid and nightfall matchmaking system(mic needed). Not to gain light for cap just to get players abilities where they need to be for endgame and allows teams to know that the player is ready for end game. 6 player raids should give gear that has perks for the next raid adventure. I mean who wants to collect all the gear for a raid that once you have all the gear there is no point in playing that raid. Public events and adventures could give gear that helps in strikes. Heroic Strikes could give gear with perks that help in the arena or whatever else Bungie has planned. A ladder loot system with each activity gearing the player up for the next endgame adventure. Those perks could unlock to be seen completely(maybe a small teaser)when the DLCs drop to avoid spoilers to new enemies or mechanics. This would really be an in game path to connect solo players with new clans/friends and as a result have a less divided community. Multiple clans up to 3 would also help a lot. Maybe only the primary clan has rewards and clan rep attached to it. Bungie you can do better than LFG/guided Games that does nothing to get players ready and to show teams they are ready for endgame.

                        • So.... a lot of the changes are being REVERTED BACK TO D1 SYSTEMS.... Hmmmmmmmm.... Trash developers who are always behind the 8 ball it seems. D1 Year 3 was glorious and D2 never stood up to the systems that were in place at the time. I’ll still be waiting for about 6 months when your game will actually be worth playing. Cleaning a garbage pile certainly makes it less nauseating but it still stinks.

                        • I have no issue with grinding raids for Max light lvl however the core issue remains. What are we doing this for? For a number on the screen? It is already said that this expansion will be a raid lair. Last time there was a raid lair it was on the leviathan. Is this 2nd raid lair also on the leviathan? How do you expect people to keep grinding the same boring useless content for lack luster rewards? In destiny 1 by this time we would have had 2 raids themed around the expansion with cool imaginative weapons. We would head in week after week to get these highly coveted weapons and it was a different experience. Light level was a secondary bonus because it bolstered our power. With the basic weapons we have, the scale of damage that enemies take regardless of light level there is really still no reason to play. If this 2nd raid lair exists on the leviathan you might as well just throw in the towel because no one is going to continue to play on that ship. The lore is out of whack and the expansions don't make sense. I really wanted to see destiny pull through but what I am seeing here is artificial difficulty being relied on and no innovation on making players feel stronger. There is no point without any of this. Also this isn't a comment to take a shot at bungie, it's what really needs to occur and the people in charge appear to be tone deaf to the actual case. Talking to streamers for advice is useless, they play for views not for content. You need to open your eyes and read the actual posts detailing the problems here. I see a lot of hate here but not all of it is. Please for the love of god make guardians achieve strength! That's what we want is power!

                          • how about matchmaking? I m not gonna grind LFG on my phone, adding hundreds on my friendlist to play once or non, get trillion messages from randoms (worst that deleting shaders) and on top of that join guys that dont even meet their own requirements.

                            Community during a release of new DLC: Already hit maxed Light Lvl after 3 days...this game is a F*kin joke. No grind, No progression.... whaaaaa whaaaa Bungie: We are slowing down progression so if you only do certain activities every week it will take you longer to hit max; compared to someone who does alot of content routinely. However! YOU CAN STILL GET TO MAX LIGHT LEVEL!! Community: WHAT!? Now you're making things slower and more of a grind!? This game is a f*kin joke. Screw you Bung-wholey-o.... Me: smmfh *sighs*

                            • Cosmo, I hope the new light progression system works well. I have serious doubts about it. It seems you went from making light progression easy as pie to really, really slow. Hopefully I am wrong, but this would follow Bungies trend of overfixing the game (hence the monthly meta in D1). Can you all explain why you are removing the clan engram bonus? When my clan was playing, I always wanted to jump on and hit the crucible to earn the engram for my team. Why would you want to dumb that down? Is there any benefit to being in a clan anymore?

                              • Awesome, thanks for screwing over the solo players. I'm sure this will make me and other solos join clans and use lfg now, not. Those that enjoy the circle jerks that are raids and trials will enjoy their power levels that will make EGC easier for them. Good luck with that fall DLC.
