Good. I hope the cancer that is Trials dies in a furnace. It ruined D1 and I’m glad that it suffers for it now.

Trials in D1 saved the game, people were only playing it and nothing else, it kept people playing until they fixed the game.
-
I’m in a bit of a rush atm, so instead of making a 12 page presentation as to why Trials was terrible, I’ll just borrow a quote from Luke Skywalker. Impressive. Every word in that sentence was wrong.
-
I completely disagree but what are your reasons for hating trials in D1?
-
Trials changed the game to suit it. Special ammo needs made raiding more time consuming and tedious. Compare Kings Fall preened to post nerf and your load out had to change just to get enough sniper ammo. Entire weapon classes got neutered because it made trials unfair. Powers and abilities took a huge hit because it was broken in trials. Those are just the ones off the top of my head. If I had all day to pour over the patch notes and old forum posts, I could give you enough data that even Datto would freak.
-
These issues weren’t unique to trials? They were issues in pvp as a whole for the most part. Abilities were overused quite a lot. Not to mention sniper ammo could be stock piled at the beginning of a match and that was it. You had what you needed for a match. In kings fall I believe datto said it took a little getting used to at first but the level increase basically made up for it.
-
They were highlighted in trials and the trials crybabies would devote pages of the forums to “Nerf Sunsingers/Tripmines/Every Titan cAuse it makes Trials broken!!!1” Yes, I left the caps lock off for that one because we need less bleeding from the eyes.
-
That's because they were dumb and didn't patch and balance weapons right. Cause let's be real, it was balancing off of PvP in general not trials that was the problem.
-
Moose I was here for all of it. 87.96% of the changes made were because of Trials Crybabies. The remainder were for Titans. The complete neutering of Sunbros and dealing with shoulder charge and juggies.
-
Even though that may be the case, it was still better than D2.
-
D2 is in the shape it is now BECAUSE of trials. How many times do we have to say that?
-
I think it's in the shape it's in cause the developers did a bad job not because of a popular game mode from the first one. People do this same logic in Resident Evil and blame RE4 for the series downfall when RE4 is actually a good game.

100% agreed

Ive said this myself a few times fully agree with your comment. We had nerfs on gear before house of wolves but it got silly during the ttk expansion nothing except scouts was untouched by balance for crucible and competitive (trials) which all affected how you ran raids nightfalls ect it took a bit of fun from the game one nerf at a time = less fun but a more balanced pvp. Lmao look how thats turned out for bunjie.

The trials is how I became a fan of Destiny one and then purchased Destiny 2 swimming trials have pros and cons to an extent to get to try something to see if you like it first see if it was worth the money or just a waste I personally would like both Destiny 1 and 2
-
Trials started the downward spiral of the game.
-
When a pvp mode makes raiding more tedious, ya know that you done goofed.
-
I agree totally.
