At the end of the day it's the senior management that is to blame on the direction of D2. It's shocking that from all the data they collected in 2+ years they completely ignored it. Why are we weaker, with weak weapons? Seems as the management are a bunch of non-violent liberals. Gj Bungie, you took a game so many enjoyed and completely wrecked it.

Blame the business their trying to run I mean why badger the consumer it's like having a politic insult a Muslim it's only going to make you lose people's interests

9 Antwortenthey are a bunch of socially liberal carebears. "oh you are good at fps and you were about to get a kill? nope you don't get that kill you need your teammate to stand next to you. TEAMWORK guys" like somehow this makes it a more skillful game. the game is dead and a joke

There are always 3 people to equally blame in a business decision: - the one who came with the idea - the one who tested it - the one who approved it Whilst many people who read an article written by a biased opinionist on the contract between Bungie and Activision will argue that it is Activision’s fault, reality check shows that it is bungie’s heads that wanted a bigger share of the cake and had very little consideration for their player base that lead to this mess. They thought they could make more money on even lesser content and quality as long as it was beautifully packaged, both esthetically and marketing wise. Another reality check proves that they were right so far, registering the highest sales on record for them and earning so much money through Eververse during the first weeks post launch. Now if the fall dlc is sold massively, for whatever reason, then Bungie will have won it all. I’m actually very curious to see if the lambs are still lambs, and the sheep still sheep.

15 AntwortenBearbeitet von TheShadow-cali: 2/28/2018 7:24:51 AMOh hell no! You think Luke gets out of this scot free? LOL Wait, he isn't a developer. He is just some dude that points his finger that helps makes the dumb calls in this game like, hey guys, our game is so screwed up but look what we have for you. An emblem! See, we listen. Seriously though, it is the higher ups that are the main problem with the game. It also doesn't help having a company that is so out of touch with their player base and can't even get their own company properly managed. Let a lone handle the game with the contract they have with Activision.

3 AntwortenI think that’s implied. When we say Bungie, we don’t mean the artists, programmers, musicians, the sound folk, even some of the writers. Personally, they’re the true heroes of Bungie. The criticism should always go to the top, because it’s their leadership (or lack of) is the reason Destiny is in such dire straights.

6 AntwortenYou lost me at "non-violent liberals." I guess your of the superior "violent conservative" breed? The last thing this forum needs is your political BS. Hate on "liberals" all you want, but they make all the good shit you watch on TV, movies, and the games you play. Please list out all the great conservative artists, filmmakers, and game designers you know of. I'm genuinely curious.

It’s always been management. But people here don’t realize that.
-
They shoulda turned up the rpg dial x10
-
They kinda remind me of those councils that fully know it's gonna snow, they've had all the signs and weather reports. Then the next day you go to work and find all roads impassable, because they totally ignored the warning signs and didn't salt the dam roads 😬.
-
If developers threatened to leave or strike management wouldn’t have any other choice. Joe Staten should’ve drawn up his own contract as any other developer should. That guarantees their work being applied as they see fit, not management. So far it’s pretty obvious bungies management department has no clue what they’re doing or they don’t have enough experience.

1 AntwortenEvidence is stacking up that it was actually bungie's idea to implement so many paywalls, I won't be blaming any sole entity other than bungie as a whole, it was them who implemented all the paywalls into there own game, nuff said
-
5 AntwortenYea, I’ve posted 1000x directly to Bungie saying lower TTK and make us powerful again would save the game. Fell on deaf ears. Still required to team shoot
-
2 AntwortenDoes anybody know if we ever had a Bungie exec make a public comment?Seems like they let all there puppets do that. Would love a weekly updates or a live stream featuring CEO, VP, board members etc etc.

You lost me at politics.
-
You know, this might have been something I'd have agreed with, but then you had to bring up liberals 🙄
-
2 AntwortenAgreed. The changes to Destiny 2 have all the look and feel of an attempted re-branding of the game from being a loot-based RPG into a more conventional FPS. Probably with an eye towards positioning the Crucible for becoming an e-sport. That kind of decision gets made in the Executive Suite. Not the sort of mid-level management that people like Nosworthy and Luke Smith represent. Upper level management at Bungie is having serious problems providing consistent leadership, and a cohesive vision for the game. Its almost like their only concern is replicating the success of Halo....and they're going to force-fit Destiny into that mold come Hell or proverbial highwater. Even if its the wrong mold for the game they actually made.

Yup. Here's a back up vid

8 AntwortenI kinda agree , I think activision wanted something different and bungie had no choice to deliver . I think they are in a tough spot now with activision causing this mess and bungie forced to work on d3 . I wouldn’t doubt if activision hadn’t withheld funds as well during development and after release . I’m not letting bungie off the hook here but I think there’s more too it than bungie straight up fkn up .

58 AntwortenHow about blame yourselves for not seeing this coming from a mile away? If you chose to ignore all of the information presented by Bungie in D2 reveals, thats on you. They told us that this game was being simplified, you chose not to believe it and bought the game anyway. Gamers are supposed to be the most informed consumers on the planet. Well, wtf happened here? The Destiny community shit the bed. What did the Metal Gear community do with the new Metal Gear Survive? Yeah.... they ignored it.
-
1 AntwortenI blame Luke smith! It’s all of his fault. He should be let go or demoted back to writing stories
-
1 AntwortenI blame both. Management for directing this game down the toilet, and the developers themselves for screwing up so many releases. Let's not kid ourselves here. The current group of developers at Bungie aren't even close to the quality of developers that they had 10 years ago when Halo was in its prime.
-
2 AntwortenDitch Bungie and ban them. Go with CD Project Red and Cyberpunk 2077 when it comes out. Bungie is nothing but Greed and Liers.
-
1 AntwortenI only blame whoever put the J.V. team in charge of a AAA game . E.A. made that mistake with Mass Effect massive train wreck .
-
2 AntwortenI blame the Russians. They hacked this game!! After that I blame the ❄️ whom cried all through D1 about having to grind to get good loot and guns Next I blame Bungie as a whole for producing this steaming heap of garbage Finally I blame myself for paying the preorder for this game.

Bearbeitet von kindaSketch: 2/28/2018 2:58:38 PMSure..I mean obviously gaming devs will most likely be liberal but wtf does that have to do with the price of Ramen in the tower? Nothing. But you are right about management. I truly believe if Chris Barret was project lead, the D2 we got at launch would be drastically better than what we ended up with. Or maybe it's higher than that. Like Pete Parsons listening to much to his marketing ppl over anyone else. End of the day will we ever really know about the price of that -blam!-ing ramen?
-
6 AntwortenBullshit! Management doesn't come up with game specific ideas, the devs do, Management lays out a basic framework of ideas, the devs create the details and the details are where the epic fails all are!
