When Ikora and Asher Mir argue during the pyramidion strike over the comms, Ikora used to say:
‘I feel safe saying such things because he is on Io and I am not.’
Bungie secretly changed that line to Ikora saying:
‘He feels safe saying such things because he is on Io and I am not.’
The purpose is obvious feminism and an effort to belittle men as opposed to women. With this type of thinking, shrewdness and sensitivity/childishness (the female narrative lead probably heard the original line after release & insisted on changing it just because), it is no wonder that Destiny 2’s story feels lackluster, unoriginal & uninspired. It is such a shame.

Pretty sure that it's referencing the fact that she's a powerful warlock and they literally just insulted each other 5 seconds before.
-
The Mandela effect cuzzy Broo!! Totally Chur 😎

1 AntwortenI play with subtitles. Pretty sure that was always the line. Still think some of the dialogue in the game is cringe
-
6 Antworten"PPPPPFFFFFFFFFFTTTTTTTTTT" It was never changed it has always been the second line I play with subtitles on and may even have a recording of it during launch. I wouldn't link it to changing Ikora's character she has always threatened characters mostly Cayde, who is obnoxious to the Vanguard, but is helpful when it matters. If you think it is feminism for a female character to act independent I think your the one who needs to think about being childish.

Bearbeitet von TSGN Leviathan: 2/13/2018 1:05:03 PMMoron, only a complete moron would fall for this. Had that conversation occur countless times and it has always been 'He'. This forum is already bad enough in terms of trash trolls, kindly refrain from adding to the stinking pile of crap.

Bearbeitet von TheArtist: 2/13/2018 2:38:31 PMBad b8 m8. Ikora is, was, and will always be a bad-ass. She was one of the most feared players in The Crucible until she ascended to Warlock Vanguard when Osiris was exiled. As far back as The Dark Below in Destiny 1, you could hear Cayde commenting on the coms during the Omnigul strike about how "You remind me of Ikora during her Crucible Days. Lord Shaxx still has trouble sitting to this day (after what she did to him in a match)." To which Ikora responds with a calm, dismissinve, "That was another lifetime ago." Her respons to Asher Mir impotent blustering was also in character. He pops off, disrespectfully calling her a "wretch"....and she just laughs him off. She doesn't even consider him to be a serious enough threat to even **bother** with "punching down" at him. Pointing out that he only felt safe to disrespect her in such a fashion (The equivalent of a junior officer calling one of the Joint Chiefs an "asshole" within earshot) because he was half a solar system away when he did it. At the beginning of the Curse of Osiris campaign, Ikora makes a joke about throwing our Guardian from the Tower...and our Ghost isn't entirely sure she's joking....and you can hear the anxiety in his voice as he considers the possibility that she might be serious. So unless you have a problem with strong-willed women....the narrative between Ikora and Asher was just fine, and perfectly in character for both. Ikora being the strong leader and confident warrior. Asher being the socially clueless, "mad scientist".

You ain't gonna fool anyone with such obvious bait. *Looks at posts* Oh...
-
what? I didn't remember going on 4Chan.
-
You are both factually incorrect, and a tool.
-
Or it could be a reference to Ikora's Crucible prowess which was hinted at by Cayde in Destiny 1 during the SIVA version of the Omnigul strike.
-
I like how people on the internet just make things up. It keeps the world interesting.

3 AntwortenOk dumbass i want you to use something called context clues. The line prior to that is Asher mir saying shit. Why the -blam!- would ikora say I feel safe? That makes no sense! Stop stiring the shit pot cause your to stupid to listen and go back to CoD.
-
.... Wow, your ears must not be working at all huh?
-
These posts need to be moderated by ninjas if the "sarcasm" tag is missing. She has always said the second line ("He feels safe..."). It comes right after Asher calls her a wretch.
-
1 AntwortenI'm not sure so I want to check, but this is satire right? If so, good job, let's see how many you catch with this 😀

7 Antwortenand somewhere, in a deep dark dungeon, filled with computers, there is a boardroom with a round table, where people who greet each other with secret handshakes, and call each other by colors and not by their name, is having a meeting, right at this very moment, after calling upon Lord Cthulu Himself for help, because someone, out there, on the surface... has found out the terrible secret that Bungie has Hidden. the conspirators - wearing stag headgear, is currently lighting candles and humming the flinstones theme song in a Gregorian style, while reading this post... a man with a Red Cape and an eye patch, called Mr Kairos Gold, is pointing at your name and screaming "DarkOverlord_9 from the surface knows our secret! we must action this at once! if they find out all our games are secretly feministic then the worlds economy will cripple and we will never be able to build a time machine to go back and stop alexander graham bell from inventing the telephone! because the feminist inside of us is romantic and it loves LETTERS! not Phone Calls!".... I digress.- sorry, what I meant to say was... unfortunately friend, you are wrong.

Bearbeitet von MR NOBODY: 2/11/2018 1:52:51 PMObvious feminism? Or referencing the fact that Ikora is extremely capable of putting an ass whooping on her fellow guardians following her days in the crucible. Not everything is a feminist conspiracy. Saarkesian , Wu and Quinn etc are self serving bigots that manipulate and deceive with their false narratives, but not everything is some sinister deep rooted conspiracy to promote radical feminism.

3 AntwortenShe always said “he”!
-
2 AntwortenOriginally it was "He". "He feels safe saying such things"
-
2 AntwortenYou’re an idiot.
-
She has ALWAYS said he because he makes an angry comment about her being a 'wretch'.
-
You idiot. They haven't changed shit. It was always he.
-
Pretty sure it's always been he
-
Video evidence ?
-
I thought it was always “he”. Why would Ikora feel threatened by Asher? Even without her light she could still drop him as if he was a fallen Dreg.

Who gives a -blam!-...
