Hello all,
Starting tomorrow, 2/07, some Bungie.net forums will be updated with new post requirements. These changes are planned between 10 AM and 12 PM PST.
• Destiny2, Feedback, Gaming, and OffTopic: Players must have reached the Farm in Destiny 2
• Destiny, Clans, Recruitment, Community: Must have a Destiny account
• Help: No game requirements necessary
As always, Private Groups are open to all for whatever experience you want to share with your friends, so long as it not violate our code of conduct. We are open to any and all feedback concerning Destiny and Destiny 2, but players who wish to contribute to the conversation will be required to have spent time in the game. Players who do not meet specified requirements will not be able to post or interact with threads on the forums in question. If threads are posted in the wrong forums in an attempt to circumvent these requirements, accounts will be subject to moderation by the Bungie.net Ninjas.

15 AntwortenI like it. Kids will be kids and they will hate this because they think it restricts whatever freedom of speech they think they have, but this is a good thing. I hope the moderators lock duplicate threads as well. These forums need a good scrubbing.

Bearbeitet von Thane: 2/8/2018 1:07:09 PMRequirements for posting on your forums (includes purchasing your latest releases) on top of the forum rules. This can’t be real ..... i refuse to believe this level of foolishness exists. You should consider yourselves lucky people are still talking about this rubbish (good or bad). “Talking” about the game is better than it fading into oblivion. The moment it does, all that will be left is a label to be avoided. You see, the kind that will remain are those who silently fade away (zero feedback/casual). In any case, i’m impressed Bungo. Keep up the -blam!- ups.
-
Honestly a good move. If you don’t have skin in the game , you don’t really have a worthwhile say as you don’t even feel any of the changes. So let the hate roll on but at least some trolls will fall off, some.
-
Wow, way to dig your own grave!
-
Way to censor the community. Gaming and Off-topic should not be behind this 60usd paywall. This is wrong. You -blam!-ed up bungie.
-
... but why?
-
So we are being Nazis now?
-
2 AntwortenSo what you are saying is you only want mentally deficient forum users going forward as who in their right mind would willingly buy Destiny 2?
-
Just when I return to the game (some old D1 buddies started playing) they pull this crap. How long until being "overly negative" gets actual players booted?
-
You guys lost... give it a rest. Poor losers.
-
The guy who green lights all this stuff needs a raise. Xp throttles, “miscommunication”, paywalls, rewards for events that are dragged out over months to keep from making new stuff. I mean you can’t make this stuff up.
-
Don't be jerks, Fix the game and the forums will fix themselves.

52 AntwortenBad move. I dont play D2. But im a big fan of what this game COULD BE. But i saw D2 was not going to be good, basically since the reveal. So i voted the only way that matters: with my wallet. I.e., i did not buy Destiny 2. But that doesn’t mean I dont have valid feedback on the current state of the game. I played the first game a ridiculous amount of hours and i have a lot of good incite you could really use to help fix this game. But instead, you want to lock us out of trying to help you fix this dumpster fire of a game. Good move bungie. That is going to make you popular amongst those who want this game to do well, but who also did not want to spend money on a product that is subpar to Destiny vets.
-
Negative feedback will not go away by decreasing and impeding future forum users. This only relays a bad message.
-
You shared the what. How about sharing the why? You can see the assumptions we’re coming up with, but would like to hear the company rationale.
-
Well that’s shame because we want to encourage non-players D2 play if the game is like destiny 1.
this post could hurt destiny 2 sales
-
Silly rabbit tricks are for kids.
-
You are destroying your own game now.
-
Lol this will not end well for you tards...so you make a crap game people talk trash and you cry like babies and block them? What does that do in the end? Oh I know deej and luke are girls in boys bodies and the safe space is for them....yay
-
6 AntwortenMonster Hunter has forums too, and they don't have people bashing their game. I wonder why? Maybe if you guys focused on pleasing your players and making a good game, you wouldn't need to police your website to this extent? Just a thought.

Congrats Bungie. I was honestly going to wait till the 2nd DLC to see if things get better but with actions like this, I decided to uninstall the game and have no affiliations to do with you any longer. I'm not doing this, you are. With such behavior, I can't support a company, or whatever, that once took a stance in community support to just take a stance against it. Your Bungie spirit has long since faded away. Hope you find it but until then, farewell.

4 AntwortenBearbeitet von SpongyMallard7: 2/8/2018 6:09:10 PMWhy does #Gaming and #Offtopic require you to play Destiny 2? Also, #Help DOESN'T????? WHY? I thought the Help sub-forum was for you know, people who play your game or use your forums? However, you have to play Destiny 2 to use the majority of the forms. This is stupid.

3 AntwortenA new low for BungieVision. Looks like the #removeeververse movement hurt their widdle feewins. Is Trump running Bungie now too? 🙄
-
9 AntwortenWow. As someone who has been to the farm 5 times plus, owns destiny 1, all dlc, all halo games made by you guys, marathon, a bunch of swag ....... will use my two tokens and blue to tell you: You should rethink that requirement. Sounds like a an overreaction crafted in a little conference room. Puts a really bad taste out there. Your fans are smart enough to filter out the garbage for themselves.

2 AntwortenI'm legitimately lost as to what your thought process was to this move. I'm not as angry as I should be. Just confused. To prevent offenders from derailing the discussion, you limit the voices taking part in the discussion... I don't care if you see it as a legitimate concern as to who owns the game or not, you are trying to fix a problem that already has a permanent fix. If trolls are being trolls, you ignore them. But if you are so adamant on taking your blanket nerfing tendencies to the forms, then just ban individuals who are causing problems, as you can clearly see who owns the game and where they are in terms of progress. Your post says so. dmg04, I recommend you take these thoughts to your higher ups and mull over this a bit more. And if these "higher ups" have the brain capacity of a five year old, perhaps you should rethink management as well. Thank you.

I have to say that this is somewhat indicative of what the wider community has feared and has felt to be true for a while - their concerns are not being addressed. This implementation aside, because honestly, it's not that severe. It's what this shows that's the real problem and something that you should consider: heads are being buried in the sand. So there's been a whole bunch of backlash, that's no secret. We've all seen it, even those of us that don't really frequent the forums all that much. It's been pretty hard to miss, honestly. This change, as minor or as severe as people will make it out to be, (let's be fair, there's a lot of melodrama on the Internet) shows that you are willing to clam up and hide away from this reality rather than fighting it head-on. It's a middle finger to the community. Actually, the OP is tinged with a little bit of sass that could stand to be reworked. There's a community out there who want to love the game. Honestly, there are. It's just hard when it appears - from an external perspective - that this is a fool's hope. At this point, I don't think anything short of A Realm Reborn will make any progress in resolving the issues that the community has with the game or the mechanics/systems... and I'm not even talking about the alternative revenue streams from ol' Tess. The Destiny community needs its very own Yoshi P to spearhead a change and, as I say, enact its own A Realm Reborn on this thing. Sure, I know it's insanely expensive. I've worked in the industry for the past 7 years and am aware that a decision like that is risky and will probably get push-back from publishers, but that's a worthier and easier fight than having a project that fails to retain a community in its first year and acts as a huge black mark on the entire franchise. Applying duct tape and small changes over a long period of time isn't going to satiate the community, it needs to be a massive triage to the fundamental areas of the game. Still, that decision is obviously yours. Just adding some thoughts from what I've observed and have been thinking about for the past couple of months. Your community is important to you... you're trying to maintain a perpetual game and you can't do that without people invested in it... and the community will have to just accept that alternative revenue streams will exist, though ideally not a dice roll! Making a move to stifle angry voices will only serve to exacerbate the issue, not resolve it. Now they'll just continue to do the same, except they'll do it somewhere you have no influence instead. Do what you will on the forums, but consider how this looks from the outside.
