Dude thats some nice PR. First let me lead this game into the ground headfirst. Then see the fans backlash because I -blam!-ed up the game. Then put someone else in charge because I dont know how to make games. Then rinse and repeat for Destiny 3 (he refers to the “Destiny 2 Team” as a separate entity).
Luke what TF were you thinking. After the whole “throw money at the screen” fiasco youd think that you would be smarter but nope. Hey Luke, how about you dont be a jerk and run a beloved franchise into the ground before it even took off and moreso how about not lie and overhype your game before launch knowing it will [b][u]NEVER[/u][/b] live up.

Edit- To those defending Luke, yes the community can be jerks. The issue lies in the fact that Luke Smith is saying it. This is the “Throw money at the screen” guy and it pisses me off how arrogant he comes off. If he didnt screw the game up in the first place there wouldnt be an issue.
Edit #2- As far as I can tell nobody is “offended.” Most including myself are pissed that the head of the D2 team, arguably the one that ruined the game, is telling [u]US[/u] not to be mean to him. Again, if you dont want us to call you out on the constant bullshit then dont spew any bullshit!
Edit #3- 850 replies.. Not bad lol. Anyway, most of you understand why Luke is in the wrong here. Again, nobody’s feelings are hurt, were just pretty upset that Luke would call his fanbase a bunch of jerks lol. Wonder where that apology tweet from chris is...
Edit #4- ITS OVER 1000... replies... Didnt expect this thread to take off but “Luke Smith” and “Jerk” was in the title so I should have expected this. Im reading all the replies and im seeing about a 60/40 spread against/for Luke. I want it to be clear I dont know Luke, he could be a super nice guy. But man does he come off as a narcissistic, hypocritical, ass. Anyway guardians, we hear you, keep the feedback comin.

Having said that, the man constantly takes a lot of heat for everything from the state of D2, to his shortsighted comments, to his weight... When he said "don't be jerks", I didn't take it as he meant [i]everyone[/i]. I took it as he was talking to the [i]jerks[/i]. He has to face a lot of [i]jerks[/i]. He doesn't often do a good job of staying above the fray of the negativity, but can you blame him really? Some of the crap he has to take is relentless. Nevertheless, it's not a good business practice to refer to [i]anyone [/i]as [i]jerks[/i], especially in written form and even more especially on a public platform in writing. It tends to cause people to take their money elsewhere.

Luke luke luke.......if i was you i would just be quite and not say anything. See the mountain over there you can go to it, throw money at the screen comments and then the ign interview when they ask about deciated servers and yoy sat there with a duh duh duh hmm look on your face. People are sick about the lies and lack of creativity the game has. At first the content is to hard to make comment i thought nah but lately it has a little truth to it. Reskin everything must be the answer. And then the story. The strangers story is all good ? then orsis was like hi im orsis thats all. wtf? If d3 gets put out man it better be amazing, dont throw out the game half way threw it again, learn from mistakes. Dont be arrogant like your always right and have to defend yourselfs. Listen to the players and communicate more. Very easy, you would stop putting yourselfs behind the 8 ball and trying to catch up.

Bungie refuses to address or admit to a MULTITUDE of sneaky tactics, lying about xp, etc etc etc and WE ARE JERKS? GROW UP!!! Take RESPONSIBILITY like GROWN ADULTS. Great Way to set an example Luke, Especially when you claim to care about the “KIDS” who play. This MENTALITY of “I can’t do anything wrong and won’t admit when I am wrong” needs to GO. Go start a petition, let Bungie know the concerns, and see if you can garner the support you think you have. Here's the thing. When you get older? It's looked down on to ever go after anyone, for anything outside of a crime. Your opinions mean one thing, but that only counts so far. No adult who simply wants to play a video game listens to someone say a tweet is offensive. You can be called a snowflake, a millennial, or any number of child referencing elements. Or to put it another way? Tell me how words on a screen, interview, ect WON'T offend you, those who dislike him, or otherwise? Because when you do grow up?
