Hey dmg, Has there been any talks about making patrols support 6 man fireteams? Just curious if it has ever been brought up at.

Update Destiny 1 w 4K HDR
We’ve buffed several weapon archetypes (including, but not limited to, Hand Cannons, Pulse Rifles, Sniper Rifles, and Shotguns) and a few specific perks, as well. A key goal here is to make Shotguns, Snipers, and Fusion rifles more prevalent in the game.
That goal is easily achieved, just move those weapons to the energy slot, problem solved.

6 AntwortenVault space??? How much vault space?? It's about time you guys Un-throttle Supers, Xp, Ammo and Movement. But will it be too little too late? I suggest an Exotic Weekend. Let us load our guardian with All Exotics in All the slots for PvE and PvP. Your fans deserve to be Legends...
-
3 AntwortenA load of shit again still can’t answer responses on random rolled weapons and most of the player want sniper and shotguns in the special slot so why not just give it to us
-
1 AntwortenModifiers coming to heroics..... Can you give us some detail early on? This is such a vague statement. Will the mods be the same ones from D2? Timers and other crap? Or will you bring D1 mods back?
-
1 AntwortenPrimary/secondary/heavy

5 Antworten"The mobility stat has had its range expanded and been completely retuned as well. In short, everyone gets faster and the high end is higher. The players’ ground speed cap has been increased, allowing for faster total movement speed, regardless of how you may get there." But does it cover sprinting? We could use some numbers, if not the in game numbers maybe at least percents. "Faster Attack Animations. Faster Dodge Animations. Increased range of all attacks." By how much? "We’ve buffed several weapon archetypes (including, but not limited to, Hand Cannons, Pulse Rifles, Sniper Rifles, and Shotguns) and a few specific perks, as well." Which ones and how much? Good update, we could still use a bit more transparency. Maybe not hide the numbers because we'll just test them ourselves. I don't think you'll be answering to any comments or pleas for more information but I appreciate your efforts so far. Maybe look at teams behind games such as Warframe for how to manage this better? Cheers, Nipster117

One thing I really wish was a thing is to be able to change the Iron Banner schedule to be one week earlier or later, or a way to earn the rewards because i can never play when it happens.
-
"Go Fast Update": sounds like good stuff. Don't give up!
-
Great communication and transparency. As well as a welcomed tuning.
Now Lets see the delivery
-
1 AntwortenThis one actually looks promising, and the communication is thorough. Keep this up. One thing I noted from this:
Ammo counts have been adjusted in relation to these timers, and in relation to weapon type.
I assume this means you're reducing the amount of ammo given because the timer is reduced. Please do not reduce the amount of ammo given to grenade launchers! They already do not OHK most of the time - leave the ammo count at 4 from a power pickup.
-
1 AntwortenReally nice update! Like Luke said, ignore the jerks and continue on!
-
Sounds good. I would argue that the old power ammo crate dynamic in D1 was more interesting, as it gave you an opportunity to wipe out an entire team. It wasn’t just a “rush to ammo box before anyone else gets there” mentality. Having heavy ammo more often will result in more ammo camping, which sucks. In my opinion, this is the biggest handicap for solo queue players. You will always be left high and dry by your solo queue teammates, because they’ll rush after ammo instead of engaging in a firefight. This will magnify the solo queue issue. Seriously, though, these changes will go much further in making players happy than any emote wheel, Eververse change, or reward system tweak. This should have been a higher priority. If you drip feed improvements that fix the symptoms of a larger issue, you’re doomed. If you make this game fun to play first, and worry about the extra stuff later, people will be much happier.

Bearbeitet von Dance Skeletor. Dance.: 2/2/2018 5:12:29 PMI think the best ratio of kills PRIMARY&GRENADE:SPECIAL&HEAVY:SUPER&ABILITIES Is 3:3:2 Meaning that getting a primary or grenade kill should be as easy or as frequent as getting a special or heavy kill and killing as much with abilities should be harder due to cooldowns.
-
More pve. That's what we need. 2-1 in favour of pve by the numbers and everything is pvp.
-
Bearbeitet von pig-golem: 2/2/2018 4:26:13 PMMost of this stuff is great, but there are a few things that concern me 1) reducing heavy ammo cooldowns in crucible is not gonna help anyone, shotguns and snipers will see more use but so will the colony and rocket launchers 2) buffing fist of havoc and sentinal shield, fist of panic already seams pretty fast to me, and sentinal shield doesnt really need a speed buff, it has a decent ranged attack, can block just about anything and you can skate with it already 3) when you say your buffing mobility, what does that mean, am i going to now sprint faster if i have 10 mobility, are the current effects of mobility being amplified, whats happening Also we need random rolls, like now, if your concerned about balancing you can just give guns 2 sets of perks, ones static the other is random and then you can just disable the random one in trials

So, let's just think a minute about these potential changes to speed up PVP: Faster movement More Supers Buff to some Power Weapons More Heavy Buff to a few other weapon archetypes I appreciate the transparency of what you're thinking and the effort that you're making to improve the game. PVP is a bit boring and slow, so no doubt it'll be more fun if things speed up a bit. IMO, while these are welcome changes, on the surface they do seem a little lazy and I predict we'll see a few more "not working as intended" patches pop up after we get our hands on the improvements as people start whining about getting crushed by "no skill" supers and heavy constantly. To me, it sounds like we'll end up with a slower version of Mayhem. Unless you make some major buffs to the TTK of kinetic and energy weapons, the faster movement will just make everyone rely on Supers and Heavy because the kinetic and energy weapons won't make a kill before the enemy moves out of the way with their new found speed. I'm sure you don't want people to feel those hero moments simply by pumping a couple Colony 'nades around a corner or getting a sniper headshot across the map because there's no counter. Just don't forget the broader kinetic and energy TTK. You also need to work on matchmaking and improve that (Iron Banner MM sucks this week BTW). There's nothing more frustrating than landing on a map to immediately get crushed by 4 Guardians who just got their supers up and/or just picked up heavy while being totally defenseless. Hope I'm wrong and your changes strike the balance we all want...
-
So many people ( me included ) dont like the time to kill in PVP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
2 AntwortenLeave the heavy us they are. Reduce TTK. Bring back primary/special/heavy back. BOOOOM that's it why is so hard?
-
Non-raid PvE endgame content. Lore. Unique loot worth grinding for. Character skill trees with depth of customization. Skills that actually effect play. More RPG elements, less focus on the pvp arena. Do we really need to keep telling you the same stuff every week? The speed boost if significant are a good step forward, but there's still no reason to come back for the same old activities. Especially since most of my friends and clanmates have ditched the game as well.

9 AntwortenRemember when D2 dropped and if we bought pop tarts we would get 2x xp? Remember when bungie was caught throttling xp? So was there really any point of buying the pop tarts when bungie was throttling xp? I feel cheated
