I dont want destiny to die
With all the people claiming this game is dead and the number reports coming in, it is hard to see them come back from this.
New games have taken away so many people and more great games will be releasing this year.
I love destiny, but I'm in a constant state of fear that something I loved will disappear into a memory of what not to do in the game industry.
I pray for this games success.

3 Antwortenpersonally I hope it dies in a fire, deals a massive blow to activision, puts bungie out of business, and gets bought by a worthy studio to completely revamp the story and game with the same core aspects of D1 development.

I want it to die. Bungie needs to scrap their development teams and Destiny and just start a whole new game.

Seeing that Bungie was going to have another expansion pass with 2 dlcs for Destiny 2's first year, it should have been clear that they didn't learn anything from the first 3 years for Destiny 1.

1 AntwortenI played D1 pretty much everyday since day 1 and expected D2 to be built off that foundation. They completely went a different direction and my personal expectations were shattered . I’ve been more vocal on these forums lately then I ever have been . I don’t agree with everything that has been said but I also don’t agree with a plan of attack that seems solely driven by selling the next DLC . The quality of life improvements proposed in the provided roadmap are not exact fixes nor are they concrete statements . It’s easy to provide something to the consumer without saying exactly how it will be delivered in its final form. I can tell you all day that “we want exotics to feel exotic” but not explain how . Look we upped their damage out put my 1 point per burst over that of its legendary counterpart. Although an improvement , not quite what I am hoping for. Look at the roadmap and then measure it up against the next expansion . It’s all in the hopes that they can keep you hanging on long enough and show you enough progress, minuscule or not , to purchase the next item that is already completed and dare I say ; has been for quite some time. You whip a dog long enough; it will either bite back or simply leave and look for a more rewarding home. Bungie is getting a little bit of both right now. Note: For the individuals that are lost on why people are upset over a video game and feel that the complainers have meaningless lives , let me try to put it in perspective . No matter what the title is or it’s core design, it is simply a product for sale. I have had 2 expensive television sets go out on me in a three year period . What do you think happened after. I found a site that featured those items and I blasted them . Not because I’m an asshole but because I’m a upset CONSUMER. This happens to be a game forum where consumers are allowed to complain and bitch about a product . I don’t always condone the manner in which they do it but I do understand why. I want this game to continue . I’m just not waiting around for it to do so. This product does not command that type of loyalty. Good luck everyone

1 AntwortenWe all want this game to succeed. It’s moving in the right direction. From update 2.5.0.2 in D1 - end of 2017 D2 launch. 2017 was a terrible year for Destiny. Let’s hope 2018 is on the right track.

3 AntwortenMaybe Destiny should die. This isn’t a hate post, but at this point, maybe, Bungie needs to fail in order to get the reality check they need re-evaluate Destiny as a franchise and themselves as a company.

I'm with you on the simple point of seeing this game succeed. I loved how Destiny 1 grew to be a better game. I hope and want the same for Destiny 2, as well. That being said, I find it hard to ignore that we, as a player-base, are experiencing a repeat of Destiny 1. By that I mean, not seeing a definitive experience until, at least, 1 year after release. It's a hefty price of time to ask of the players. I still hold on to the prospect of seeing the Year 2 Expansion (aka the The Taken King for Destiny 2) being the turning point to see Destiny 2 become as enjoyable as Destiny (or somewhere close).

Its not that new games have taken away players, its that D2 is a terrible game and as gamers...they are just looking for something to play that is entertaining and enjoyable. D2 is neither of these. I loved D1, couldnt get home fast enough to play, but D2 is about as boring as it can get. IMO, there is nothing, and i mean nothing to play for. IB is going on right now and i dont think i ever missed playing one but i honestly cannot stand the thought of firing up D2. I've moved on to other games and dont want to waste my time on D2 knowing there is nothing to gain from playing it. I have the best weapons you can get in D2, the best armor you can get, all within the first week of playing it pretty much so why do i need to keep playing? The raid? Did it...got weapons and armor no better than what i had, why? Because its all the same. Like i said....nothing to play for. Prestige mode? Why? Same crappy rewards so why even bother. For those that are enjoying it, great you have a game that entertains you and you enjoy playing. For those that dont like D2, yeah...we are moving on to better games

I still get one D1 for the odd PvP game and come to B.net because after 3 years of doing it during D1 it became a habit. I loved D1. Easily my most favourite time in gaming. It was great fun, full of memorable moments and probably my most sociable time on consoles. For me though D2 may as well not exists, massive let down. The sad thing is I knew it from info pre release but I still bought the thing out of hope. Lol

3 AntwortenOnce, I loved this franchise. I was a fan, and I purchased several Destiny merchandise. I still have a small, proud collection of Hunter knives, and a really badass megabloks Fallen tank that my husband and I spent four hours building together. Yes, I was a [b]shameless geek[/b]. Now I'm disappointed, and I look at my Destiny collectibles with disdain. I'm not happy with the state of Destiny right now. Bungie is taking it in a direction I'm not thrilled with. It's honestly depressing, because I do miss the memories. Yeah, Destiny 1 was flawed, but at least the gameplay was fun, and Bungie seemed intent on making it better. Well, that doesn't seem to be the case anymore. They can make all the promises they want. My trust with them is pretty nonexistent at this point.

2 AntwortenIF Bungie: - Maintains Communication - Sticks to their schedule - Add a couple surprises in May I could see a lot of my clan coming back around to play. Right now, there's hardly ever more than 1 or 2 people on. In the mean time, I'm gunna enjoy some new games, and come back periodically to shoot some aliens.

Right now im holding off until May or whenever the next dlc drops just to try it. After that won’t be back until the substantial updates are completed. I want the game to feel fresh not slow and boring.

Noone wants it do die, but people wont come back to play it, if it remains shit. I wouldnt worry about it dying before Anthem comes out, though. Close to one million people still logs in everyday 6 months after release despite zero endgame. If thats not serious dedication to a failed game, I dont know what is xD.

I love destiny but it's hard finding a reason to come back to it. Even the raid doesn't interest me to go and play...it is a pity...

Destiny 2 for me was as follows below: Remove all progress they made in the last 3 years, which btw was years of posting on these forums. Remove all quality of life. And reintroduce it now in future updates. They think we should be thankful for this?? -blam!- off!!

The only reason this game is dead is because Bungie refuses to actually improve upon what it built. Instead it's running the same routine into the ground and laughing all the way to the bank. Not only does it refuse to build the game. They don't fix the problems INSIDE the game either. Putting new skins on old maps, taking away materials needed to improve guns. That's another thing, they took the leveling system out of the game, why? Why destroy something that was working perfectly fine? Non of the hype of the game lived up to anything NEAR what they said it was going to be. That being said, I have a love/hate relationship because I see the potential of the game but the idiots at Bungie either refuse or they're just too -blam!-ing dumb to see what they have. I will most likely play Destiny until it dies, and I can't wait for that day. I can't wait for the day that Bungie see's what they could have done with something so neat and instead they let it rot and fester with their stupidity.

1 AntwortenAs much as I am disappointed with D2 I will keep playing and so will many others, it will not die, it will just never be as good as D1, or have the feeling where you just can’t wait to get on and grind. It’s an average game now, D1 had a unique feel to it, I think maybe the variety of items, for example, same weapon drops but with different perks. Anyways, it’s sad, but just making the best of it.
