Anyone Else Finding These Forums Becoming As Redundant & Boring As The Game.??
They're still entertaining to a degree, but becoming very redundant and boring as well.

The out and out haters will stay for the hell of it down voting anything that may be even slightly optimistic and just posting the don't trust bungie, Destiny is dead, fire Luke Smith ad nauseum comments etc Anyone looking to make constructive comments have long gone let alone anyone who may actually enjoy the game. The overall activity has dropped dramatically though. No doubt about that. It does sum up the state of the game unforunately

I've noticed even the amount of people passionately bitching about the game is fizzling away, that's a bad sign. It's going from passionate arguments about how to move forward to people admitting that they're losing faith in bungie. This does damage to the franchise but it also does long term damage to the studio, just look at the lost faith in Bioware that's never been restored. Bungie needs to remember even though Destiny is something new that it doesn't have the top spot it did with Halo.

1 AntwortenThe same topics stay on front page for days on end. Its a sign that passion for the game is really starting to burn out i think as people give up and move on due to frustration. D2 has done incalculable harm to this franchise. So much so that its shocking that those who are responsible for it are still employed.

Agreed. There's maybe 5 or 6 people who's posts and comments I always enjoy reading, but the other 99% of the forum topics these days are just a repeat of the week before and the week before that etc... and a large amount of those topics appear to be written up by angry 11 year olds.

Everyone has argued about everything with each other for months. At this point I'd say both sides are burnt out. Destiny as a whole is just running on fumes now.

I much rather talk about a game that I ( and the other community members ) am happy with, so yeah all the hate is getting a bit redundant. However back in December, every single topic and discussion centered around “Remove Eververse”, as much I hate how much Eververse dominates D2 I wasn’t interested in the constant bashing of it. I truly feel that the forums are better off now than they were then, at least we are talking ( constructively ) about Destiny 2 now.

Meanwhile, at Bungie HQ it’s business as usual. What else are they capable of doing? Making new content despite 2 other Dev studios to assist is just “too hard” I’ve been a bnet member for 7yrs. This definitely feels like the death for both the franchise and the studio. Destiny as a whole was too big for Bungie. Once the talent departed from the studio the replacements weren’t on the same technical level and the game started regressing. Destiny made money. Boatloads. Player enjoyment in the subsequent products developed declined. Let’s all pretend D2 never happened and look forward to better games to play in the future.

Of course other games have been received badly. But the amount of hate people have built up towards Destiny and it's creators (perfect strangers to the majority of us) is nuts. What happened to moving on? Why let something you dislike so strongly have so much of your time? I get voicing your opinion. But not voicing the same thing 8 times per day. I certainly don't get people who quit months ago floating around the forums just to hurl out the same three insults on a few posts. To each their own I guess, but that doesn't seem fun to me. Just kind of sad and maybe a little creepy. There's 2 different kinds of posts at this point. Those who want Destiny to get better, and those who want Destiny to burn. Those that want it to burn seem to be the vast majority. But I think they fail to realize that giving their silence and absence to the game and forum would be the most damning thing they could do to Bungie.
