Imagine this scenario;
Eris crashes her ship into the Tower on Earth. Suddenly, Taken rift into existence everywhere and the Vanguard are on high alert. You race over to the ship fighting the Taken along the way to find Eris crawling out of the debris holding something. She stutters and whispers something to you, “We’re next”. She collapses, the object rolls out on the floor and looks to be a shard. Your Guardian looks at it and sees the face of a very weakened Oryx screaming out from it before a Taken Ogre appears from it.
.
After the fighting and things quiet down, Eris is recovering. She keeps repeating in her unconsciousness “Saturn”. Zavala heads up an investigation and finds that part of that planet is void of a storm for some reason. He sends you and fireteam to go and see what’s causing the anomaly. As you walk out, Ikora is seen looking worried while looking at the shard, still untouched on the ground.
.
You and your fireteam land on the desolate area while an unearthly storm and tornadoes circle around. You all see a crystal like spire in the center of the land and make your way towards it as Taken start appearing in hordes. Once almost there you see a crumbling Oryx slowly emerge from behind it. His wings deformed, face partially shattered off, an arm missing, and body withered with wind like streaks etched into his skin from the planets constant storm.
.
He screams at you that then calls forth more Taken. The fight begins with a mission statement that only says “Survive...” and a timer appears next to it. Oryx is yelling and throws himself at your team (literally) while you defend from the Taken threat as well. After the timer ends, Oryx screams again and all the Taken vanish, but the crystal spire shines a ghostly green. Back on Earth, Ikora examines the shard very closely before it glows as well and suddenly a spatial rift appears around part of the Tower. That part of Tower suddenly disappears with everyone on it.
.
Back on Saturn, another spatial rift appears overhead of the fight with the Tower falling and collapsing on the desolate area. Everyone that survived the impact look up in horror to see Oryx looming over everyone. All the Vanguard take up arms and the fight continues against Oryx and more Taken. As the fights duration continues you hear Oryx speaks his native language, but make out one word. “Crota!”. The spire reacts again and Crota appears from out of the storm Taken. He now runs feral like a beast on all fours and charges in to try and kill you all. You and all the team must try to lure Crota into charging full force into Oryx a good amount of times to try to end them both.
.
As the fight is nearing its end you see the crystal spire breaking away everytime Oryx is rammed by Crota. Thus, the storm encircling you grows closer each time the spire breaks down. As Oryx is hit one last time by Crota, Crota limps away before being impaled through his head by Oryx’s fully functioning arm. Screaming as he (Oryx) turns around, Eris walks out into the battlefield with the shard close to her. She drops something from her hand before blinking right up the Oryx’s face. She slams the shard into Oryx’s eye as he staggers back into the spire. Then, both of them get absorbed into the crystal spire before it radiates brightly and then starts to crumble on itself.
.
The spatial rift above starts closing and everyone there hops into any ship available to get through. Once through, the rift collapses as the desolate area is once more consumed fully by Saturns storms. All the Vanguard return back on Earth to another Tower while looking over at the remains of the other now destroyed Tower. Your entire fireteam is brought inside to talk with Zavala while Ikora and Cayde-6 talk amongst themselves.
“What the hell even happened? I was trying to enjoy my bad habits of foods then suddenly I end up in a street fight with a thought to be dead God thing!” Said Cayde.
Ikora snaps back “Listen, I don’t know what happend just now. But, I think Eris was hiding something else from us.”. Ikora holds up Eris’s orb that she dropped back on Saturn before she disappeared. Cayde taps the orb curiously and looks at Ikora with concern. Ikora turns toward your fireteam who was being debriefed by Zavala before looking back at the orb and hiding it within her robs. She walks away with hands folded behind her back.

I sexually identify as a glycoprotein ever since I was a little peptide I wanted to attach to the nearest glycolipid and empty my spicy chemical load in to the cytoplasm of the cell. People say that that’s impossible and that I am too thick , but I don’t care I am beautiful. I am having the Golgi apparatus and Rough ER attach carbohydrates to my body. From now on you guys will call me “glyco” and respect my right to diffuse in to the inner membrane. If you can’t accept then you are a cytophobe and need to check your cell identification privilege. Thank you for being so understanding.

Ehhhh enough taken and Hive story's for me. It was great story arc spanning two raids, with incredible back story and lore in The Book of Sorrows, but I want to see the Fallen expanded on in the next DLC. The new unified fallen house intrigues me greatly... Imagine if the 'Outcast' races (Reef born Awoken and Fallen) joined forces and tried to take over the power of a Warmind to take control and rule planet like mars... Wait...
Stupidly hopeful of the second DLC's potential, so that I can get some moneys worth out of my season pass...
Only problem genius, Oryx is dead, devoured from the inside out by his Worm, did you even play D1?
-
1 AntwortenBearbeitet von Der Sheff: 1/30/2018 12:42:07 AMMore like: Eris crashes her ship in to the tower, destroying all vault space. Taken Blights appear and take away the light. Now, guardians return to the shard of the traveler, reacquire their powers and emerge with... Wait for it. Wait for it. *drum roll*
THREE primary weapons and no power weapons!!!
Of course if Oryx ever talked to his son's lieutenant, Omnigul, he would have learned how to just "undo" his death.
-
5 AntwortenOryx had his time to shine. Arguably the best "story" arc to raid boss finale. We need a new badass mofo and Gaul was shaping up to be a decent one . . . Aaaand we got hedonist bot.
-
Oryx is dead man it would just ruin the game now if it was his sister then I'm game
-
4 AntwortenEven though Oryx was killed like... twice in d1... cannot the Hive bring him back to life again? Did not Auryx kill her sisters only to bring them back?
-
Gimme! Gimme! I want this! Great Job!
-
That sounds cool, but I thought the consensus around here was that it was so lazy for Bungie to re-use the Taken in D2.....
-
4 Antworten1. Saturn's a jovian planet 2. Oryx is dead, there is only Savathuun now 3. I'd like a new character now, enough with the hive for a bit 4. Instead of saying Oryx is a must, it should say Toland is a must
-
No. Oryx is dead and has been for 2.5 years.
-
Oryx is Dead, maybe not True death for the hive, but Dead for now. When on Titan in the CPU mission, you can see what appears to be a Giamt Hive worm, this is believed to be Oryxs after the fall from the Dreadnaught.
-
ok take every thing you said and and say that savathun is trying to res oryx and succes the u got to kill his sis then him again [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QV7M8sP6Qyk]
-
You see Oryx is a Yandere
-
4 AntwortenThis is great and all but. You know Saturn is a gas giant right? Which is why we've gone to the Dreadnaught and Titan but not Saturn? Saturn is a big ball of gas, it’s not solid matter so not much can happen there.
-
2 AntwortenThis would be great if I didn’t hate the taken. They’re a creative and different enemy, but I was super annoyed by them.
-
Nice job! This would’ve great to play, (even though oryx is getting a little old now)
-
1 AntwortenCool idea, only one real problem. Oryx is just folklore, it never happened in the game.
-
You ever see something and get little shivers just imagining the other worlds that might spin off from it? Thank you for this contribution.
-
Sad that some random kid on the internet can come up with a better story than Bungies "professional" writers that get paid hundreds of thousands of dollars a year.
-
5 Antwortensavathun wouldnt warn us about the taken again and by that i mean eris morn:)
-
Hoping for no more oryx
-
That would be sick
-
Wow, awesome idea
-
Only if half the fire team kills themselves with sleeper suliman.
