2 AntwortenEvery week I see more and more of these articles and even more places writing this game and company off. It's really really sad. Old Bungie used to set the bar. I guess that's what happens when your visionaries are all gone and Jason Jones is basically nonexistant. I wonder where he is.
-
Sounds like it's written by an unhappy destiny fan. Will definitely attract attention.

The day before reset isn’t really a day that should be used for people playing, but it’s still depressing to see the game fading so quickly

1 AntwortenBearbeitet von cooljoe757: 1/24/2018 1:32:44 PMYeah man. If they CAN fix it, it will simply take way too long for said fixes to be effective. One can maintain hope, though. But for me, the only question is: Will the game die quietly or will die in a fiery explosion? Also at this point, there MUST be people at bungievision wondering if it’s really worth dedicating resources to developing DLC’s that simply aren’t going to sell well.

Anyone that played it would think the same, heck anyone that has paid attention to the goings of the game would think the same, one update another F#$K UP another “sorry our bad”, another update, another F#%K UP and another “we are sorry” rinse and repeat… At this point I am wondering about Bungie competence, after a year and a month since I last played I went back to D1 and its painful to see how badly this title regressed from then…

2 AntwortenTo be honest I don't think they want it to be saved. Why take so long to implement changes like fixing Prometheus Lens. That should've been "hey enjoy it for the week, but it will be corrected at next reset." Not take weeks to correct after beefing into the ground. It's always wait for the next season or the next dlc or until the games 1 year anniversary. Ridiculous. If I told my boss to wait until next fall for corrections I'd be out.

2 AntwortenThis is what happens when you take a franchise that you made to bring enjoyment to your customers, and turn it into a cash grab. Tell your customers that everything you worked for in the original will be erased due to an upgraded engine. Hype the shit out your game for 6 months. Then release it, and walk away. That's exactly what bungie did. They knew this game wasn't complete, they just wanted to make a quick buck on unsuspecting customers. They have lied on numerous occasions, and to think there are still people in this forum that defend bungie and belittle other people because they don't want any part of this half assed game. Rumor has it bungie is already making d3? How does that make the BDF members feel I wonder? They got your money for this scam, why not try it a third -blam!-ing time eh?

3 AntwortenI don't mind developers screwing up. It's when they don't learn and continue to screw up to the point where things spiral out of control. Activision are going to step in. This is nothing but embarrassing for them. They promised themselves there would be way more content. I don't imagine the investors are happy being attached to a project with such bad pr. If player numbers continue to shrink and the game takes way less money through MTX and general game sales I can't see any other outcome. I hate saying that but what else could happen?

Bearbeitet von Vampire Nox: 1/24/2018 3:37:39 PMThe TWaB 01-25-2018:
Hey, Guardians! In this TWaB, we're going to discuss a teaser trailer, for our update, that explains more about the future update, about Activi$ion's contractual takeover of our development studio! But since we're still slaving away at it, we'll get all of those teasers about teasers of the takeover in 'Fall 2018'! Because even writing to tell you about our epic downfall is just too hard, much in the same manner that creating new content is too hard. So look for that update, about a Twitter leak, about a teaser trailer, for our Twitch stream, where we'll live broadcast a bunch of Activi$ion suits coming in and kicking all of us out! Now, here's some community montages that -definitely- don't show our game sucking donkey balls! - Cozmo out.
3 AntwortenI feel Destiny 2 was a test to see if gamer behavioral manipulation would be as or more successful than giving the gamer what they want. I think they’re finding this study pretty damn fascinating.

1 AntwortenThat may actually be an all time low.

5 AntwortenLet's be honest, not many do believe Destiny 2 can be saved. Yes the first game was launched in a similar mess but it was the first one, they learn and fix it. The launch of D2 took away stuff people had in the first game and launched just as thin on content which, for a sequel, is awful. Lack of content on top of all the bullshit has dropped the playerbase to less than an 8th of what it was. 8 million copies sold and less than 1 million playing. All games have drop off but that's usually over the course of a year, this dropped off in a matter of months. People can sit there and say it's a great game and Bungie are listening but it doesn't change the fact that Destiny 2 suffers from massive player retention problems, management problems and lack of content. The people that create external content for games like Twitch and Youtube are moving on to other games because Destiny 2 has no viewing appeal. Twitch numbers are a joke so people making a living off streaming that killed it in the first game are now struggling and have to move on. Those making Youtube videos have gone from hundreds of thousands of views to mere thousands. With 2018 looking to be a pretty good year for gaming it will suffer from more player retention issues as well as struggling to bring new players in with all the bad press they have. We've all seen developers mess up over the years but this is the first time i've ever seen a developer constantly mess up and not learn from it. I don't know what the problem is at Bungie but I do know no 1 man can make this many constant screw ups. It takes a lot more than that. Bungie need purging at the top or a major overhaul for any future games but I think Destiny 2 has very little chance of digging itself out of the hole Bungie buried in.
-
Although I think the game will get much better in the next few months I feel it's a little to late for most. Bungie's next game will be a tough sell to the vast majority who paid for D2 and feel they got burnt. I enjoy the game but I'm getting tired of bungie making the same mistakes over and over again, updates just don't come quick enough and fixes take far to long. Seeing as D2 was apparently much easier to develop content for I'm really not seeing it.
-
2 AntwortenI loved the number one reason, which I quote directly from from article, "1. "Design decisions were made that have made D2 a less engaging, and less distinctive, game than D1. In particular, key aspects of the D2 end game feel neutered compared to D1." Neutered is the perfect word to describe D2. D2 The Neutering

I wish it would drop further, like tomorrow only 50k players played and it remained that way. Do you think Bungie would remain ignorant then?

3 AntwortenBearbeitet von Ianferno: 1/24/2018 2:53:15 PMAs much as I despise your posts...there is an uncomfortable truth that Destiny 2 just plain sucks and lacks so much that the first one had. And yes, I will admit that deep down, I find your incessant trolling hilarious, and very dedicated.

8 AntwortenBearbeitet von Househ0ld item: 1/24/2018 2:43:41 PMDeejmo04 said Bungie will be back in full force after the Christmas break. That tech analyst must have their calculations wrong. :)

6 AntwortenThey also said your mother couldn’t be saved. But your father turned that hoe into a housewife. So there is always hope#saveahoe

3 platforms or not ? pc / xbox and ps4
