Like what do they earn from throttling faction rally rewards? Nothing. They obviously understand the community wint like it, so why? Same applies to no new weapons. Its just stupid.

2 AntwortenBearbeitet von Blind-N-1I: 1/19/2018 5:35:51 PMLet’s put it this way. The way Bungie has handled this disaster of a game makes it virtually impossible to believe that they’re NOT trying to put this game in the can. IMO they’ve -blam!-ed this game up so incredibly bad that they’re just hoping everyone quits and silently movs on to something else. They really need to find a way to clean the stench they’ve created for themselves. At this point it’s not unreasonable to believe that a Bungie employee might actually have a hard time finding another job at another large studio as a result of the all the shoddy work that has been exposed at the Bungie studio. There’s no way I’d hire anyone from a company like Bungie that is famously known for doing shoddy work and shitting all over their player base with blatant lies and etc. They’re basically a liability to any business concerned with Quality Control. Bungie is ABSOLUTELY the antithesis to Quality and Integrity. I would honestly be embarrassed to admit that I was employed there.

4 AntwortenFixing an exploit is normal. It should be done. Now, the way that Bungie fixes exploits is just laughable and lazy. One chest in one lost sector is able to be cheesed. Instead of closing off that exit to eliminate the issue and truly fix the exploit, they lazily tried to change the way that all lost sectors reward loot. The biggest problem with this is that Bungie never has the foresight to anticipate issues, and they obviously don’t have the worlds best testing team helping to validate changes, or the testing team is seriously understaffed and undervalued.

This doesn’t exactly apply to the topic, but I heard the activision CEO is leaving soon. Could that mean destiny gets better/is actually decent at launch next time? Or does he not really have any say
-
It really does seem like at this point they are intentionally damaging their own game, maybe they are trying to get out of the contract with Activision

6 AntwortenHow awesome would it be if the game was just "Destiny" with no sequels and a constantly expanding universe. By now we could be on Pluto fighting ice monsters and eventually progressing to new solar systems. So many missed opportunities.
-
Is EA and Activision also doing the sa.....they are murdering the gaming industry. Fact.

Bearbeitet von Wyatt-O: 1/19/2018 9:20:50 PMKind of seems that way doesn't it. Can't get out of their own way and in a tailspin down wicked fast. At some point you have to tap out, call mercy, say uncle, etc. Might not be a bad idea to just say "You know what, we are taking everything offline for X amount of time, we are going to do a deep dive and scrub everything until we right the ship. This is a great opportunity to go play something else, or get back into D1 which is still live. We will provide updates on a regular basis, and when we are ready to flip the switch back on there might be something special for you at the Post Master. Thank you for your patience!". That will never happen, but wouldn't it be refreshing & show that they really care?

If it's not intentional (which it probably isn't) the levels of ineptitude shown by continually releasing broken content, sledge hammer fixes and zero attempts to truly try and win back those who brought them here, are staggering.

1 AntwortenBearbeitet von GrundleBeans: 1/19/2018 8:29:55 PMThings like throttling are a matter of "dialing it in". They clearly focused only on testing to see if it worked to fix a particular problem, not how it affected players at large by consequence. Someone probably threw out a number, "Let's do 10 mins. That sounds okay.", and they went ahead and implemented it. I don't think it went all the way up to Chris Barrett for a decision (hence his latest tweets about agreeing it's too harsh), or he was too busy with other things to really question it and maybe wanted a stop-gap solution fast to circle back on later after seeing the impact. This is by no means a good way of doing things, but sometimes the better alternative to waiting and doing nothing. They made an assumption on how to solve 1-2 problems at once without validating it with users. That could have easily been avoided if they either (1) asked the community a quick poll first what we thought would be fair out of a couple of options, or (2) went with a time limit just short enough that people couldn't do the exploit instead of simultaneously trying to artificially force a long time investment into rallies from players. THEN if it still wasn't as effective as they liked they could make a small increase in the throttle or try a different solution.

3 AntwortenI would say that from the language of the last update, they aint sorry. No appology to the community for getting the game so wrong. I would say that bungie thinks its doing a good job.
-
Tinfoil hats alert : Bungie knows it can't deliver the content they signed up for. Making content is hard. If bungie fails, Activision gains control over destiny IP. Bungie destroys Destiny IP before handing it over. Bungie starts with new title

9 AntwortenThey're not throttling anything other than an exploit some savvy players use to cheat. I find that eminently reasonable.

Bearbeitet von MindExergy: 1/19/2018 8:57:27 PMI almost forgot to mention in my previous post (sorry not tying to spam) that I think bungie was fine with losing a chunk of the community thinking the pc release would create a new one. A bigger one. That explains the lack of 60fps on console. I mean what major game isn’t 60fps? It’s like they were trying to create overwatch. We can lose a few of our hardcore console players big deal. What’s funny is they released a game with two pvp modes and no private matches. I have a feeling every destiny that gets released is gonna just be another vanilla game with no content with expansions over its lifespan. The game will finally be playable then it’s back to boredom.

4 AntwortenFor me it's them selling a ghost shell to increase faciton rewards. That's just a middle finger to all the people that supported #RemoveEververse.

3 AntwortenBearbeitet von Hulkksmash: 1/19/2018 7:59:49 PMI think it's just corporate lack of talent job placement. Maximizing profits is their #1 and sure making anything of quality is towards the bottom of that list

I think they messed up with the new weapons. Slowly adding them to the game probably wasn't their plan, but they didn't want to look more incompetent by admitting they messed up. Simply saying they forgot to tell us how and when they were being doesn't look very good either. Especially after they promised communication would improve.

2 AntwortenPlayed a bit on Tuesday realized nothing is changing and said -blam!- it. Forum is true endgame. I don't support bungie
-
Probably because there going add their "taken king DLC" (3rd dlc) that will "fix" Destiny 2 but it will cost a extra 30$
-
Making new content is too hard.
-
We're not playing the way they intended, so yea, this is what they do.
-
I've been saying this for months.

... ... ... ...
A BOMBS BEEN PLANTED ON OUR AMMO SUPPLY!!!!!!!
-
I think they are trying to please solo players, and bring more people into the raids, but in doing so theyve angered us; the hardcore D1 fans....and in doing that all the casuals are afraid to get any deeper....... Bng need to make a laser focused plan and stick too it.
yes
If they are deliberately trying to kill the game, it's the first thing they've managed to do successfully so far
