You know what'd happen if I cant do my job correctly? My pilot could die, my friends could die and I could as well. So to fix that, they'd fire me for not being able to do my job. In bungo's case, "lets just have eververse get us money because its too hard to make content".
Edit: lol at the people thinking it was a direct quote. Its called reading between the lines. It was said however during the taken king, but the fact destiny 2 is in this state shows they're proving this hasnt changed. My title quote came from reading between the lines. Quotes are also used to signify things in a sarcastic manner. I cannot wait for bungie to sue this journalist for slandering their production as you people state is not true even though the product they release clearly shows that they cannot keep up.

Sad part is that this article is most likely true. Why start making new $hit you can't handle. Just continue where you were at. TTK was actually good and was heading to a good direction for once. Now we're are stuck with a slightly better Vanilla year 1 destiny. WTF? How could they be so stupid to say this BS was ok. Why take away the good things and just say fukk it... You really broke my heart bungo...

5 AntwortenI'd like to know all sides of the issue, honestly. Admittedly, the whole RNG lootboxes mess is so dreadful, Bungie and Activision are beyond exoneration. But it would be nice if we could understand how and why this happened. How and why a game like Destiny was reduced to this.

I was rooting for them too :(

5 AntwortenLol. Devving and management isn't a cakewalk 12 year olds. Plus, you have Activison wanting to kick your azz

Bearbeitet von UltraRage101: 1/4/2018 9:35:10 PMIf Bungie is complaining about to much content then. Then why lie to the community. how the mighty have fallen.

Bearbeitet von RPColten: 1/4/2018 9:33:13 PMThis isn't exactly new. I recall reading in an interview in July that Luke Smith felt that the studio can't keep up with the content demands of the player base, and that the studio was looking at ways to make that easier. Post: The interview was from PC Gamer if I recall.

1 AntwortenActivision’s a pimp. He never could've out-smarted our community. But I didn't know until this day that it was Bungie all along.

Bearbeitet von Corrick II: 1/4/2018 9:06:56 PMPeople are treating this like it's news. It was painfully obvious from day 1 that Bungie had a problem producing the amount of content necessary to satisfy the needs of a loot shooter. They didn't help themselves by removing random rolls, which was the only thing they had in place to stretch their loot pool. It's disappointing to think they can't keep up with content at all. If true, this doesn't leave me with much hope that they will fix anything any time soon.

2 AntwortenIt's not the content that bothers most people, it's the laziness! No random rolls on weapons so they make sandbox changes more easily. Where are these changes?? It doesn't even matter because whatever change they make, most people will just find whatever gun is most powerful and learn to play with that weapon instead of using guns they like the feel of. A lack of imaginative loot generation. A lack of innovation. Bungie boasted how they had a hundred teams working on this game... but it's too hard to make content? Where did their budget go if not towards paying for more teams to help keep up with the demand for content? This all smells fishy to me. It feels like all the people they fired or who have quit were the ones saying that this game is not good enough, and bungie didn't like this attitude!

Their incompetence is pretty obvious just from the game alone. We're now three months from launch and one dlc in and they have had to change the nightfall again due to bugs. They've also clearly labelled the emblems tied to the new strikes the wrong way round. Those kind of things just don't happen if the people working on it actually care about what they're doing. I still genuinely think Bungie regret the whole 10 year thing and other promises so bad. They want to go back to your run of the mill shooter with 7 guns and just a campaign.

BUNGIEs goin hard on that EZ $$$

Bearbeitet von SolarCerberuS: 1/4/2018 9:21:52 PMIt actually seems very similar to their talks about D1, they were supposed to be going with a better engine for D2 that would enable more content more often. Time will tell I guess its only been out just shy of 4 months. And a dlc (even though many think it was shit). Much needs to change to turn this franchise around but many of you are focused on the wrong areas. MTX isnt the monster many of you make it to be for one its entirely optional and just cosmetic junk like many games have. The mistake Bungie/Activision made is they tried to reinvent the wheel with D2 which is a major gamble in any franchise unfortunately in D2s case it was a major step back which you simply cant afford in todays day and age. If D2 was in fact the first installment of this franchise it wouldnt seem so dull and lacking for many (personally I enjoy it for what it is) They should have built upon the successes of D1 and by year 3 it had remedied alot of the issues that plagued its early (rushed) introduction. Imo D1 should also have only just released after a longer dev phase. Will D2 bounce back? Who knows but Ill play it while entertained having 2 young kids playing aswell has helped as they are happy just being able to game alongside their dad.

The whole purpose of Destiny 2 was to escape the clutches of the old Destiny engine which was withholding them from creating content regular intervals. So either that was a load of bullshit to generate profit from a full game release and/or they are still using the old engine.
-
1 Antworten"Too hard to make content" may or may not have come form bungu or it may have been taken out of context, either way, at this point its far more believable than the old "we hear your feedback" Hard game to fix? ok i believe that, but, i don't know, maybe they could have used what they may have learned (and i say "may" because it seams they didn't learn a thing) from a messed up launch and 3 years of Destiny 1 and maybe, maybe there wouldn't such a need to "Fix" things in D2.
