We found out we agreed on more things than we thought. Sure we had our disagreements about certain topics but we agreed to disagree and moved past it.
Too bad conversations here can't be like that. It was refreshing to have an actual discussion with somebody without someone throwing in some bullshit article.
I think the reason it worked so smoothy was that we both agreed that it's possible that everything we've ever learned is propaganda so moving forward we went with our gut instinct.

2 AntwortenGo cry somewhere else about people posting things you disagree with. You aren’t going to find a shoulder here, kiddo.

3 AntwortenBearbeitet von Section Ratio General: 1/2/2018 12:30:47 AM
Too bad conversations here can't be like that.
I'm not even liberal, but because we had a disagreement about abortion in your "I'm pro-life, change my mind" thread, you told me to kill myself. If you expect civil discussion, calling other people who don't agree with you "libtard" or telling them to kill themselves isn't going to make it civil. If you start a discussion, start it civil, keep it civil, and don't start off being a jackass like you do in your threads where you attack people for simply having a different political viewpoint than you do. No one is going to have a civil discussion with you about political subjects when you act like a tool, a jackass, and a douchebag to everyone on this forum that doesn't have the same exact ideology that you do. edit: You also pretty much say that ANY and EVERY article, or even research that goes against your beliefs is "bullshit" and "fake". You even called the DSM-V fake, the NIH fake, and that the APA is full of people who are stupid and don't know what they're talking about when it pertains to Psychology (also from your Pro-Life thread), when the APA is the American Psychological Association. You assume that your opinion trumps research, and that you're also smarter than people who actually know what they're talking about (e.g. Your comment about the APA and how they're full of idiots while your unsubstantial claim using your opinion is correct). Edit 2: Also, give me one good reason for why I should respect or treat you with any form of civility, since you told me to kill myself?

That’s because there’s a difference between liberals and sjws. Liberals just merely want mutual respect but know ridiculous authoritarian legislation is not the way to get there. The only thing they want is social programs to be restructured. People can agree with that. What they can’t agree with is ruining the entertainment industry, comedy especially, and overall social interactions between one another for an impossible utopian society where no one makes fun of each other and comedy doesn’t exist and money is redistributed to the point of killing incentivized innovation and industries that otherwise would keep people fed while politicians do hookers and blow in their mansions.

40 Antworten
Too bad conversations here can't be like that. It was refreshing to have an actual discussion with somebody without someone throwing in some bullshit article.
You had several chances of civil discussion with me but you instead chose to lie, not make sense, when asked for clarification you would avoid doing so, jump ship when the conversation got too rough on your side, refuse to read or even look at articles but instead come up with bullshit reasons yourself, and when confronted about any of this you beat around the bush and kept commenting just so you could prove you don't always jump ship. Because of that bullcrap, all you're going to get from me is Hong Kong is number one 😂😂😂. You want to be disrespectful to me, then expect to get zero respect or seriousness from me. And no, this isn't just me you've done this to, you've done this to plenty of users. Many of your debate threads are trainwrecks. Until you can work on yourself to respect others and have an interesting discussion, you're not going to get it from any of us.

Find something you can agree on. I know plenty of people whose political views are way different. They have their opinions and I have mine. Something we do agree on, we can tailgate together, have a bbq, have a watching party together, celebrate together and share seats next to one another. The love of our Sports teams.

Neat! I work with and have a good relationship with my co-workers whom voted for Hillary. (I voted Trump) Weird how real life doesn't mimic the news or internet

3 AntwortenSeems like the Liberal you talked to was pretty close to the center at the very least. A classical liberal. It’s a political stance that has found itself more center/center-right due to how the extreme the Left has been growing. That’s why I specifically bash Leftists now, not necessarily Liberals anymore.

It's nice discussing different things with different people, as long as they're not being an ass, or spewing random bs

You will probably find most people are centerist with views that are left and right. The best thing for the US would be to finally give up on partisan political alliances

Political conversations had in person tend to be much better than those over the internet

2 AntwortenPeople are combative on the internet because of anonymity. People have their convictions and aren't swayed by internet arguments because they're just a way to kill time.
