Remove eververse it puts items behind a pay wall
Yes I know you if you level up you get a free LOOT BOX but that is one big problem they are loot boxes so if you are after something you probably won’t get it
On top of that there are items in eververse that should be a reward at the end of a shrike or eververse sends you on a quest like say to earn Saint 14s ship which already should be a reward
They also put a lot of time and effort in to Designing the items in eververse way can’t they put that Some of there ideas in the base game instead of a loot box
Also I remember them saying that eververse would Pay for stuff in the game but we already have to pay for the dlc/expansions so what do they really do with the money they get from eververse I wonder
Also we don’t need eververse we didn’t have her in destiny 1 for at least 2 years and Half
REMOVE EVERVERSE

15 AntwortenIf you want something specific break down the stuff you don't want and buy it for bright dust when it's in the store. And no, a lot of time isn't put into the stuff in Eververse. It's mainly copy/paste sparrows and ships that represent a very small amount of invested time for a texture artist. And, what, three sets if armor per class so far? That doesn't amount to much. You're not getting awesome content for those manhours. What's funny is... when Bungie gives us copy/paste rewards for the rally and whatnot people complained because it was lazy and cheap, and that no one wants them. But when they're in Eververse? All of a sudden it's an injustice that we can't have all of them, and it's such a resource drain and so much work. Fact is, no one LIKES microtransactions. But, Eververse is a pretty fair implementation of them. The point isn't that some people WANT Eververse, we jusy dont want the alternatives. Fact is, yes, the game isn't free. And yes, we pay for DLC. But that's true of smaller, cheaper quicker to produce games as well. Games which often after expected to provide events, or regular patches, or servers. So... if you're a publisher and you look at that fact, where do you invest your money? In the game that takes longer to bring to market with much higher overhead, or the game which makes just as much but costs a fraction of the other? ROI and opportunity cost are rather important, especially to publicallu traded companies, and people who want to keep their jobs. So either games like these make less, and likely cease to exist, or they find alternate revenue streams to take advantage of within them. It's that simple. And Eververse is probably one of the least offensive methods of monetization I've seen. What "The Community" are opting for are either forcing Bungie into a worse alternative, or making publishers fund fewer large scale games that some of us enjoy playing, instead to focus on cheaper, easier, shorter, more linear titles to reduce overhead and increase the return on their invested money. Or they go mobile... that's a trend for a reason.
so if you are after something Pacific you probably won’t get it
This is the best part of this post.

Nothing against Eververse if you want to spend money fine your choice. the thing is it is the way games are heading in my mind. The other thing is if they not put this in game then we be paying 100 dollars for a game might be a bit high but that is where it is at. On the BS side the RNG hates me

3 AntwortenSome people like to spend large sums of money, some don't. Why does it bother you? Mind your own business. I dislike how Destiny handles it, but I'm not going to make a fuss over it on a forum.

3 Antworten
Also I remember them saying that eververse would Pay for stuff in the game but we already have to pay for the dlc/expansions so what do they really do with the money they get from eververse I wonder
The microtransaction system was put in to support the live team and Devs Teams working on the expansions. That's where the money is going. Bungie stated this during a live stream back for D1. The base games and expansions do not make enough profit on its own to support those teams. Bungie is a company first and has to find a way to pay its employees.

2 AntwortenI don't think people like them, but someone such as myself is confused at why it's such a big deal. Especially the way people talk about it, as if it is completely ruining their experience

1 AntwortenPersonally I wanna keep Eververse, just remove the ability to buy silver. Silver should be something gained from completing activity’s, and you should be able to get what ever engram is available (Dawning, FOTL, or AoT) from completing your 1st activity every day.

No one said this.

Halo 5 and Overwatchs micro transactions > Any others

3 AntwortenWhat people don't like it having to buy and engram for a chance to get something they want. Each item should be priced and a person should be able to go in and pick what they want. Don't have us buy engrams for a chance at 20 items, of which we might not get any of what we want. This isn't a casino where we're pulling a slot machine handle, although it often feels like it.

I don't like it, I've also never felt the need to buy anything if I didn't want to. Sure, some of the armor and ghosts are cool, and bungie is crummy for making it almost impossible to get what you want without spending money, but this is the world of gaming we live in. There are always going to be idiots who spend hundreds of dollars for cosmetics so blame them as they are creating the demand.

1 Antworten“A fool and his money are soon parted” Pretty much sums it up I think.
in all seriousness though, micro transactions in full price games are a disgusting trend and need to be addressed, not just in destiny but all games. It just seems Bungievision and EA are really taking the piss with there’s and are getting a lot of the heat atm.
2 AntwortenYou shared this thread with me on my thread (https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/241132906) and I wanted to share one of the replies I got that I think is a great thought: @Super68 wrote (just a part of their reply): "Honestly, I'm a real fan of what they implemented on Mercury and the other "planets". Let RNG come into play to a point, then allow the player to buy what they could never get to drop with tokens. Seems more respectful of the player's time." And I agree. I like how that was handled. You can both grind for it, and if you grind and grind and don't get 1 piece to complete the set you can buy the missing piece. And Eververse does this too, by selling 1 piece of the armor set each week for bright dust that you can get by grinding. Now the Dawning gear is the exception because you can't earn it all in a 3 week event. But I don't mind that there is some gear that you don't get unless you pay for, as long as it is only cosmetic (which it all is).

1 AntwortenPeople who seem to defend it are fanboys that won't take criticism
-
2 AntwortenI don't think they like them per se - they just like the game overall and can not handle other people criticizing something they enjoy.

2 AntwortenI don't mind have micro transactions, but the game and content of the game have to be good. You can't have a subpar game with everything hidden behind loot boxes. Micro tansactions are an option, not mandatory. But again, if the game is subpar to begin with, then that's where the problem lies.
