Year 1 of Destiny 1.
Year 1 had a lot to offer despite many people hating it. Horrible RNG, grinding for weapon parts and upgrade materials was a pain, the crucible was a cluster -blam!- of one-shots.
I love all of it
Yet it worked. How do I know this? Because people kept coming back to D1

2 AntwortenThe feeling of excitement every time you got an exotic...
-
4 AntwortenMemorable powerful exotics that made you feel like a legend, universal remote, super good advice, bad juju, hardlight, thorn, etc
If you can’t remember these weapons were all useless at launch
4 AntwortenBearbeitet von BXR Lonestar: 12/11/2017 3:56:34 PMYou know i do man. The haters who hated the grind and imbalance in pvp should have been playing other games. A lootgrinder wasn’t what they were looking for. Now, look at what their crying has turned the game into? A shallow, dull, soulless cashgrab.
-
1 AntwortenI miss 2&3 as well tbh
-
Mee...! When Exotic means Exotic... Raid rewards were priceless...
-
1 AntwortenYeh, i loved all of it, especially the nonsense. Shooting into the loot cave, watching the salt as people got blues from purples was awesome, had hours of fun running round patrol upgrading whatever new exotic i had on the way, farming mats, getting stuck at 29 and creating more characters, it felt like the start of something great. Remember when tess was a sweet little girl, who just gave you emblems? Yeah look at that money grabbing whore now.

6 AntwortenYear 1 sucked. Year 3 now that was the time to play
-
4 AntwortenA lot of people quit D1 in the first year. Don’t let nostalgia blind you. Every expansion that you didn’t buy into, locked you out of whatever new content there was to offer. And of course who can forget the plethora of bugs and glitches and exploits. Like going into crucible with a lot of defenders and a gunslinger to cheese the competition with infinite supers. Pushing atheon off. Pushing the Templar off. Pulling the plug on Crota and even pushing him off as well. Killing oracles with 5 icebreakers. Killing things from the hobgoblin platforms. Hiding in the shrieker room Hiding under the platform. Hiding in the ceiling. Hiding behind the cliff. Hiding in the tunnel above nexus. So many cheese spots for strikes and raids.

1 AntwortenI didn't have a problem with year one and it continued to get better because they had the core structure of the game in tact. Things like the loot cave and all the crazy glitches made it fun and interesting along the way. But D2 at its core is so fundamentally different and incapable of lasting a long time, it's sad to see it go this route.

1 AntwortenMe, so much. Especially HoW
-
3 AntwortenI'm ALL in on this gaming action. Call.
-
5 AntwortenIf they just kept Legendary's being very, very rare drips and exotics being extremely rare, people would keep coming back. Thats honestly all the incentive the game needed. But they made it far too easy to get everything. That has been destinys biggest problem since TTK.

1 AntwortenVOG!!!!!!!

Even without rose colored glasses - I still miss Y1. Initially, I finished the "campaign" (if you could call it that), and I was pissed. Pissed that there were really no answers to this "story". It seemed like there had to be more to the game though

1 AntwortenI remember my Jade Rabbit. I loved that gun more than anything, and would even use it all the time in trials, or raids when I didn't need to use a gjallarhorn or touch, etc. and then, Destiny 2 came. Sure, I enjoy it, and still play it, and I really love that Jade Rabbits back and all, but I can't get it for one reason. Now, all I get is either armor, or another stupid risk runner. Plis bungo, giveth my gun back.

Nope, year 1 had many flaws. Now was it better than D2 vanilla? Hell yes. Regardless D2 should have picked up where D1 left off
-
1 AntwortenI don't miss year 1. On the other hand, it's a shame Destiny 2 wasn't able to start from the Year 3 level of polish, and continue from there.
-
4 AntwortenD1 Y1 was ok, but D1 with all of the DLC added far outshines D2 right now. I'm actually coming back to D1 regularly, whereas I'm bored playing D2 because there's nothing there.
-
10 Antworteni DO NOT miss having to roam around planets to get upgrade mats tho..lol
-
1 AntwortenI miss VoG...
-
1 AntwortenThe favourite thing 2 do in year 1 was dying by shooting myself in the foot lol that was so funny
-
3 AntwortenYear one had a lot of problems but at least it was fun to play. The weapons were good, the abilities were good, the movement speed was good and all the complaining and nerfs that eventually led us to D2 had yet to take place.
-
1 AntwortenIt is year one... Also, when an Uriel’s can trade with a Mida from across endless shore, there is really nothing to miss about D1 year one.
-
2 AntwortenI just miss D1... I'd do anything for a gaming experience like that again
-
1 AntwortenI do and I don't, if that makes sense?
