Ok, bear with me here. Agreed, this gun is broken! Although I feel it should not be nerfed too much. Alot of people complain about Last Hope for instance but I feel it is perfect. Its just that most other guns are not powerful enough! Who else is having the most fun in destiny 2 since you have had this gun? Fair enough it sucks dying from it but now that everyone has it, it is fun and makes me laugh with friends more then I have since destiny 1. If every other gun was at around the same level as MIDA and Last hope(to give two completely differently ranged guns) in damage output then people would still use a variety of weapons and we would not be so reliant on playing with a stacked team. It is so annoying at the moment because nothing can counter it. If you agree then please [b]UPVOTE[/b] so Bungie can see.
[b]EDIT[/b]: I seem to have been misunderstood. This gun only needs a slight adjustment(I.e notch the damage output down a bit), everything else needs to be buffed. The gun is not the problem! Everyone is using it because it is the ONLY weapon that is OP currently. If other guns were buffed along with this change then there would still be a variety of weapons being used. the current pvp scene is boring without this gun and every 1v1 encounter comes down to who is lucky enough to have HCR proc first(MIDA/Uriels). Either that or players health needs to be lowered, one way or another TTK needs to be quicker.

Or maybe just separate PVP and PVE so a nerf/buff to a gun in one, doesn’t affect the gun in the other.

10 AntwortenRight now the weapon is nerfed to counter the bug it had. Yeah they nerfed it into the ground for now but maybe read everything instead of complaining on the forums straight away? The weapon willget fixed in januari. They will then come with a buff for it that they playtested to make it balanced. The weapon had to be nerfed, it was too OP. It had to be fixed. The rest of the weapons are balanced in my opinion.

I've never had a problem beating UG with The Number, or beating Mida with Nameless Midnight or Call To Serve. I'm glad Prometheus Lens released with a bug so you whiny Mida/UG/Last Hope/HCR people can see something THAT IS ACTUALLY OVERPOWERED. There hasn't been one gun even close to OP in D2 until Prometheus Lens. It needs to be nerfed in PVP ASAP. It is making an already below average Crucible experience unplayable unless you want to use ONE GUN EXCLUSIVELY. Talk about even more boring than Crucible already was. This is the first gun nerf in Destiny that I've completely agreed with since year 1 Vex Mythoclast or Thorn 2-tap.

With the more team oriented aspect of this game (maps, game modes etc) you couldn‘t even react to teamshot anymore. People would complain like crazy here in the forums how high impact guns of all archetypes would be totally broken. Right now all guns are in a good spot. Except for the lens. Not wanna see the Halo 4 desaster, where only the DMR was OP as hell (but every other loadout gun was fairly balanced) and 343i buffed every other gun to a level to which a Light Rifle could 3-shot you. It was ridiculous. There was nothing Halo about the gunplay anymore. Sometimes buffing everything else is just the wrong idea.

1 Antwortenanother troll post by this person ?.... This person doesnt even own the game and yet he fooled over 500 imbeciles ?... Exotics have unique mechanics that have ups and downs, overall they are slightly better than legends if not a lot but it depends on the situation, kills in PvP are already fast and with a large array of weaponry, last season i completely discarded Better Devils, Uriels & Mida for other options i felt better using. Weapons have different purposes and "Exotic" literally means very unique so imagine it like an unusually fast handgun or a very slow but very hard hitting machine gun or a shotgun without spray... thats exotic and they have their spots where they truly shine.

That got me thinking about year one in vanilla. What everyone fondly recalls I call a nightmare. It wasn't skill. Destiny was a game of broken gun after broken gun. 2 AntwortenPrometheus lens is 100% how an exotic should feel. I am so tired of weak and BS exotics to the point that people run around with legendaries and BLUES or even greens in the crucible ? Come on. We need a FASTER TTK in crucible across the board. Make some of the useless exotics do better. This slow time to kill is boring. I genuinely have never had more fun in D2 crucible than when I was using the lens. THAT IS WHAT AN EXOTIC SHOULD FEEL LIKE. People ganged up on me, t-bagged, got real upset. It was so fun. I was NOT invincible. Look, The gun IS powerful Bungie already said it has a bug: where it continues to damage after you stop hitting a target needs a fix (the gun doesn't have a burn) and the damage numbers sometimes jump up for no reason - that needs to be fixed. But otherwise keep an exotic feeling exotic. You guys did the right thing buffing all grenades to meet the pulse grenades. Lets make this more fun. No nerfs. Buffs.

Yes its OP in Crucible, not so much in the raid and in PVE its good against ads and grouped enemies.. Its a NEW, fun and exciting weapon that we have all been waiting to get our hands on.. Like dam people can even play with their brand new exotic weapon without having to hear the whinny babies cries?! because why? its a strong gun. Come on guys we are better than this...

I think itd be nice to have a playlist like that. Where TTK is quick. Sort of like hardcore mode in CoD games where just a few shots and you're dead.

I love the PL because I can only imagine the sad sack on the receiving end of it wondering why his Uriel's Gift did nothing to stop me from shredding him or her.

7 AntwortenThis is the most fun I've had in Destiny 2 PvP. People are actually splitting up so you have 1v1 rather than constant team shooting. So what the gun has broken PvP, it's not like Destiny 2 PvP was great to begin with. At least now it's enjoyable. Everyone using the same gun mean no one has an advantage and if you are not doing well it's because you are horrible without your team helping you kill people. Sorry.

3 AntwortenThis gun solely killed PvP for me. I played with it before and after Xur got it and right now it's just a who sees who first type of game and it's garbage. I used to have fun with scouts and autos. My aim being better than theirs rewarded me. Now it doesn't even matter.

Prometheus Lens definitely needs to be chilled out a little in the crucible. It’s got power weapon level kick. Every match I’ve done since Friday looks like a -blam!-n Amsterdam rave. I thought Mida was a lazy pvp weapon with its got nothing on the pro. Lens.

It deserves a nerf. I wish the TTK was like Prometheus Lens for all weapons. This team shot META is just sad. I think the destiny community is too far gone. I just got team shotted by people using the Prometheus Lens.
