With the D2 franchise in dire straights Founder and Director Jason Jones and CEO Peter Parson are nowhere to be seen.
At a time when strong studio leadership and rock solid commitment is required does anyone else find this a little strange?

12 AntwortenHonestly, we don’t need to see them or hear from them to know where they stand. Luke smith, jon wisniewski, sage merrill, and the rest of the sandbox team still have their jobs. Those people bear the most responsibility for all the decisions that went into making D2 what it is today. Those parties chose to emphasize pvp over pvp since TTK and they basically broke their game in D1 trying to reverse-engineer pvp into playing like Halo. They were allowed to keep their jobs and move on to D2, and all their decisions were sgain made to make pvp play like Halo. But because they didn’t separate the sandboxes, they effectively ruined THIS game as well. At this point, if those most responsible for the current state of the game are still employed, its because leadership has their backs. The question is for how long? If this goes on much more, than changes to bungie’s leadership will be necessary before we see any meaningful changes on the ground level. Till then, vote with your fert and your wallet. Nothing sends a more clear signal of dissatisfaction than refusing to buy the game. But if that ship has sailed, the next best option is to just not play. Better yet, if you need a Destiny fix, just play D1. Show them which version of Destiny you prefer.

1 AntwortenI don’t know much about Pete Parsons, but all the reports that I’ve read seem to suggest that Jason Jones is a bit of a recluse. After a Halo 2, he went into isolation and started working on Destiny, he showed up to work more or less everyday but most of a Bungie’s staff had zero interaction with him during that time. Now that he’s handed over creative control of ( Vanilla ) Destiny to Luke Smith and the Live Team, your guess is as good as mine as to what he’s currently up to, maybe he’s working on Bungie’s next new IP.

3 AntwortenThis is a statement from Parsons when he took over for Ryan. Apparently from what he stated, Bungie's #1 priority already failed. Also, in what year should we expect to see the studios best work because at this start of the 4th yr, the series is getting worse! “To the players of Destiny, I want you to know that my number one priority, and Bungie’s, is and always has been to deliver great games that we can all share together,” Parsons said. “I believe that Destiny is a one-of-a-kind experience. I also believe you have yet to see our studio’s best work. My new role here at the studio will be entirely focused on fulfilling that promise.”

1 AntwortenBearbeitet von Orpheus49: 12/3/2017 9:28:59 AMIt makes no sense, Jason was so well known for pushing against this kind of lazyness, where is he?is like Activision is the real director of this game. Even then, there are still people tearing it from the inside Ahem luke smith

I wondered the same thing. Who knows? Maybe getting their asses reemed by Activision and deciding who will be fired next. It is funny how they are pulling a Houdini. Out of sight, out of mind......

1 AntwortenHard to say. It does smack of them not taking this very seriously. Hiding under the desk isn’t going to work this time.

5 AntwortenYou know Jason Jones left Bungie in 2013 right? The original vision is long gone.
