By canceling the live stream they have taken away our voice.
Now they can dictate what is said 100%.
We can't ask questions, put them on the spot, apply pressure.
Bungie just weaseled out of the biggest opportunity we had to voice our opinion. It's BS.
Now they'll have writers; write a script scratching the surface of our demands. Though we will never get to the meat of the subjects at hand.
Bungie is a very slippery bunch

They no doubt planned to control the questions in the stream, but it appears they doubted their ability to do so.
They no doubt planned to control the questions in the stream, but it appears they doubted their ability to do so.
I doubt their ability. Period.

Bearbeitet von CheekyCharlie1978: 11/29/2017 6:19:41 PMexactly that buddy, god knows why it's taken me all the way down to your comment to actually find someone who see's/mentions this last minute change for what it really is, a blatant attempt at damage limitation and yet again removing our voice from the proceedings that and maybe after last weeks epic "best loot ever" fail this smacks of Bungie taking control of everything it puts out, hiding away from explaining their bad decisions and everything else they pretend isn't happening in game, despite its massive player-base depleting faster than our ingame Supers we aint all blind or stupid, plenty of us see your tactics and lack of transparency for what it is and that fact you are crapping all over your gaming community shows your motivations and self-interest above all others

I would say the opposite of these ideas is more valid. Bungie doesn't care for our voice and surely don't represent "our voice" in any of their streams. They've been dictating how we play this game since 2014. As a result, this game is plagued with cheaters, lag switchers, and taking advantage of endless exploits that they created to begin with. Their writing for this game is garbage. Joe Staten was the real writing talent Bungie ever had before they let him go.

The dumbs... oh god the dumbs... Please make it stop...
-
They have dictated, capped, and manipulated everything we do in D2 since launch!! For the love of puppies I'm happy I didn't buy the friendship edition a.k.a. dlc bundle!
-
They don't care about our questions, even if they are positive, legit etc... Because if they did, D2 wouldn't be such a huge mess and this forum along with Reddit etc... wouldn't be pissed off and the live stream wouldn't have ever been cancelled.
-
You dumbass it's the exact opposite. They see the forums burning and are addressing what they plan to change.
-
Wtf lmao
-
How is a non interactive livestream any more or less pointed a message as a written blogpost again?
-
Because there was a livechat?
-
That they ignored anyway lol
-
According to their faces I don‘t think so. Also, it‘s more than nothing. 🤷🏼♂️

Put another way, no one wants to confront a crowd carrying torches and pitchforks.

Assuming Luke Smith would have been involved, after his last interview was ripped to shreds on the forums (and justifiably so), they don't trust him. I wouldn't trust him to speak unscripted on behalf of the Destiny team or Bungie ever again.
For the record, I wouldn't do any better but then I'm not in his position and, if I was, I'd be ashamed of that performance. I wonder if he still has to hide from his colleagues...
I carry popcorn.
-
Popped or unpopped? Just wondering... Unpopped popping corn could do some real damage if fired from a D1 shotty. A D2 shotgun would (of course) manage to pop it in the barrel resulting in a gentle massage for the intended target.
Yep, mine's lightly salted.
You know this is a good thing right? It means they listened instead of showcasing the shallow crap of the dlc
-
It probably just means DLC presales are terrible.

Bearbeitet von Akira00x: 11/29/2017 5:00:11 AMIt just means that theyre doing a blog instead of an stream. Thats what it means.

Yea they don’t want to be put into that position. I mean if I made a game that people loved and then made d2 I would be too.
-
Questions on their streams are pre-screened. There was no pressure, no sweat beads rolling down Luke's Smith's neck beard. Just safety and the illusion of challenge.
-
I think it’s more about the chat being spammed to death by angry players, especially now when the XP debacle is still ongoing. It’s just even more bad press.
-
Yea ur right, I guess I was just hoping for a chance to get real answers from real questions from real players
-
The closest they came to that was a House of Wolves reveal stream with Gothalion. He tried asking the questions players wanted answered while the chat was nothing but people bitching about there not being a new raid.
