So we're not getting a shred of help from bungie. So here we are trying all these ridiculous placebo fixes. Leave your clan? Delete your cvar? Update your drivers for the 80th time? I'm not 100% convinced that my fix has entirely fixed the issue but I'm on day 3 of trying this and have had much better performance. I'm on a Nvidia 980ti oc. I typically run my games at 1080p with this card. However, Nvidia released 388.31 or w.e it was last week that increases D2 performance by up to 30-50% in 1440p and up. No love for 1080p. So I tried all resolutions and if I run the game at native 4k, the stutters pretty much go away. I'm still testing but it has helped a lot. Doesn't make sense though. Doubling the pixels being rendered should have the opposite effect. Give it a shot if you're able. Just make sure you have the newest Nvidia driver.
