Now that we have only those who don't mind spoilers. It is known that a Guardian without their Ghost is just a mortal, meaning they can no longer be resurrected by their ghost. In the end of the scene we saw with Osiris, he threw his ghost out of the Vault and back to Mercury. This leaves Osiris in the Vex Dimension without her.
This was a really risky move seeing as if Osiris dies, he now permanently dead. My suspicion is that the Campaign will begin with us finding Osiris's ghost, and taking an adventure with her to rescue/find Osiris to reunite them. Potentially, it could be too late when we arrive.
What is everyone's thoughts on this? Yeah, it's pure speculation as we don't know how the campaign will flesh out yet. But imo, speculation over lore is a fun exercise.

We find the ghost and reunite them...and receive a Bill and Ted transmat effect for our efforts...RADICAL DUDE!

seems reasonable enough to be legit

Bearbeitet von Darth Zero0: 11/20/2017 3:30:44 AMIt could be Osiris is long dead but if his ghost comes back into play and we as guardians go through the vex dimension to find him Osiris could be resurrected. I suppose what I mean is a ghost could still resurrect a guardian as long as they eventually meet again. I'm basing this off of the first destiny where your ghost mentioned looking for your character for a long time and resurrects you.

2 AntwortenThose leaked audio files from when the computer mode came out did have Saladin say something about Osiris being back, but that might be scrapped content

I think you are onto something.

As long as he's not caught in a non-linear teleporter loop...
-
How could it be too late? How long did our ghost search for us? As long as the ghost lives, he'll be fine.
-
I think yes in some ways. The ghost can res us kinda like how they transmat us, they have an imprint of us. So my theory...he knows he is going to die, but saves his ghost in an attempt to maybe be rez later...if at all. He could have possibly seen us attempting to save him in the simulation, and we all get killed/absorb in the the vex sim. So I think he saves himself by pushing the ghost away. We find osiris dead, but she res' him. I do think, despite the banter they had before, they will have a snarky attitude at the reunion, only moments later discuss how they're glad to see each other again.

Or we could come to rescue him before he even gets there, or mid-battle, or after he's dead. Who knows with all the timey-wimey stuff

1 AntwortenBearbeitet von Ravontulet: 11/17/2017 8:34:38 PMhis ghost also got shot- so she may be damaged beyond repair aswell - who knows - we'll see on Dec 5th

I don't think we will be too late. I think we will save him, stop the vex, then he will hope back into the timeline conundrum to keep helping guardians from the "shadows" so to speak.
-
1 AntwortenOh no. That -blam!-er have to be alive when we go to rescue him. I don’t want to wait for so long to rescue another dead guardian.... Also think in the poor Vance! He wants to know Osiris, he deserve it.

5 AntwortenBearbeitet von contra_reality: 11/17/2017 7:30:43 PMWell he would be dead until reunited with his ghost which would involve is bringing his ghost to him

9 AntwortenGuardians are still immortal without a ghost, they just can't be revived when killed, but Yeah, that was a risky move. I say osiris has some way of escaping, maybe those cube things he has after all, he says that the bed can see his ghost's light but doesn't seem to see his as we see in the trailer.
