I’m -blam!-ing done ...
I am a day 1 Destiny vet with over 2000 hours, yeah I’m a god I know. And I can’t condone this shit any longer.
I loved Destiny but no new raid until September next year is inexcusable, The Leviathan raid is a joke and instead of moving past it and delivering a DLC (vex) themed raid on mercury we get an update to the Leviathan.
So that’s it, I’m done I will not spend another dime on this game ... at least for another year. I had hopes for Bungie but instead we get this dumpster fire.

Edit: Just something to add in here. Is it really that hard to make a new raid? I mean I’m no game dev but the COD peps put out 4 zombies maps a year. Each map comes with a complex ee equivalent to the raid puzzles and at the end there’s a boss fight. So if they can do it why can’t you Bungo?
Oh yeah and -blam!- that raid dev on the reveal stream, Im talking to you long hair quite guy.
Speculation: Raid lairs are shorter “mini” raids where have a seen that before? Oh yeah those are called strikes. So I’m guessing that raid lairs are going to be strikes aboard the Leviathan with a raid puzzles thrown in there for good measures.

9 AntwortenIf you are a D1 veteran then why would you expect a raid after two months when they usually make 1 new each year :D This raid lair with new encounters mechanics and a boss fight is way more than you would get in D1. Sound like you had yourself fooled there buddy

After the shitfest that was Crota’s End there has only ever been 1 raid a year on Destiny. I’d much rather player new encounters on an already designed destination that will use less resources on designing a new pretty place to do the raid and more resources on building some bad ass complicated raid encounters. I think it’s a good decision and greatly preferable to participating in another cheesey crotaesque 15 minute run shitfest.

They've chosen this approach with raid lairs because they wanted to offer a constant stream of raid content. The way to do that is to develop encounters for an existing area. If you think back to Destiny 1. Vog launched with Vanilla, then crota's end 3 months later. Although I liked crota, i agree that it was a short raid. We then had to wait 9 months until the next raid with Taken King. Then 12 months until Rise of Iron. At least the way they're doing it, we will get a new raid lair with new encounters, new bosses, new armour and new weapons every 3 months until the next big expansion. I'm interested to know which option out of these 2 you would choose.

Understand your feelings as i feel the same. 2500 hrs in D1 and only 2 weeks in D2. I've quit already. It's boring as hell and everything feels like " been there, done that". The raids were the best thing in this game but the new raid is so god awful. I guess Bungie fixed my Destiny addiction.
