I think this would fix a lot of complaining in the forums. Granted complaining is a par for the course on any multiplayer game but this is something that shouldn't be looked over.

Been wanting that for the since Vanilla Destiny 1. But Jon Weisnewski has stated it won't ever happen.

Bearbeitet von TheShadow-cali: 11/12/2017 4:59:27 PMYes, this has been a no brainer since this game released. The problem is, the sandbox can't even handle the game as it is...
-
There's been a plethora of methods suggested for doing so, but Bungie will never do it. What they don't seem to realize is: 1. Many other devs have tried it in games like this and failed. 2. The needs of both aspects are incompatible - PvE wants power, PvP wants balance.
-
-
But they never will . To be honest I think it’s always going to be something that holds both elements of the game back
-
It is actually ridiculous that bungie still hasn't learned that balancing pvp and pve is not possible
-
Yes they should. There are plenty of games that do this in various ways though these are all MMO's. Take Guild Wars 2 for example, everything in PvE and PvP is seperate. You go in to the mass PvP lobby and your build/weapons are reset, you are given everything you need to create a build for PvP and can choose from pretty much everything in the entire game but the moment you leave that PvP lobby all of your gear you use and the build you use in PvE is activated again, making the two styles of play entirely seperate from each other. Go back in to the PvP lobby and the build you created with the gear you chose is activated once more. You don't take PvE gear in to PvP and don't take PvP gear/build in to PvE, this allows the devs to ballance these things seperately.

1 Antworten100% YES ...
-
They should be separate like jalals balls
-
To be honest, the unbalanced PvP was kinda fun in D1. It was great to melt people with the myriad options we used to have, and then get melted by another fun gun. It was fun to go in and try to do well with a bad weapon, and even more fun when you did well with a bad weapon. To be fair, the meta wasn't even that focused on weapons that were hard to get after the mythoclast got nerfed. Fellwinter's lie? Crash Casket. Same stats in blue. Suros Swag Machine? A generic shotgun, or fusion rifle. I miss the days when you could bait people into situations they couldn't get out of. Now everyone has plenty of time to get to cover, if they're not an idiot, and nobody walks around alone anymore.
-
That has been asked for since the first call for nerfs. It didn't happen then and I don't think it's going to happen now. It's ruined destiny.
-
Nah, just balance PVE. Delete the PVP aspect entirely, it’s useless and hasn’t benefitted Destiny in any form. Remember Mythoclast
-
Pvp needs to be totally seperate from pve (destiny). pvp needs to have its on log in, so pve can actually get better and gear can be awesome.
-
Sadly we have been talking about this issue for over 3 years now and bungie hasn't done anything about it and I think it is safe to say that even if you had 3 million yes' they still wouldn't do anything about it. My god the difference it would make if they separated the two out, IMO.
-
They better make pvp seperate from pve like cod does for yrs and it works
-
1 AntwortenIt's funny that this is the one thing that pretty much the ENTIRE COMMUNITY agrees on and Bungie has consistently been IGNORING this issue since the very first post about it
-
I dont even know why this is a debate, this should have been the case 3 years ago. Mythoclast was op, why? It was the hardest gun to get. Oh but its strong in pvp, result? Nerf. Auto rifles are too op in pvp. They became useless for a year (argueably 2 years). Fusions where nowhere in y1, shotguns got destroyed, then snipers and what was the result of everything? Pve became more boring because of pvp.
-
4 AntwortenI've never really noticed a difference in PvE when things were nerfed. The enemies still died with relative ease. Guess if the PvE was actually challenging it would be noticeable but it never has been and doubt it ever will be so in all reality it doesn't matter.

5 AntwortenThe hard part here is that if you have separate sandboxes for PVE and PVP, then there is no synergy between the two. The "synergy" comes from having the ability to grind for awesome weapons in PVE and getting the chance to use those awesome weapons in PVP against other guardians. Bungie's problem is that they expect you to get some awesome stuff in PVE and expect it all to be balanced in PVP. That is simply never going to happen. And in all honesty, if we want awesome stuff in PVE, we need to ACCEPT the game isn't going to be perfectly balanced in PVP when you get to use the same stuff. So the trick is how to preserve the synergy between PVE and PVP while separating the two. THE BEST OVERALL compromise here is to separate out a COMPETITIVE/RANKED mode (which would include Trials) and have those game modes have restricted loot pools that are separate from the rest of the game. The competitive loot will ALL come from vendors (either rented or purchased) and they MUST be equipped for you to enter a competitive match. Competitive matches will feature different special ammo/heavy ammo spawns, and the trickle modifier to make sure that competitive matches are centered around gunplay. And because the loot pools are separate, Bungie can take a balancing approach to the competitive loot pools that will NOT harm weapon performance in PVE. At that point, PVE and Casual PVP can stay connected, have that synergy, and play like D1. Players who are tired of getting killed by meta guns can try their luck in competitive. And PVE doesn't have to suffer because of restrictions put in place for the sake of competitive/balanced PVP. Players are empowered with the ability to make a choice: 1) use powerful weapons and abilities and ACCEPT that the game isn't perfectly balanced, or 2) forego powerful weapons and abilities for a more balanced PVP experience on fair and even grounds. This is the BEST overall compromise Bungie could reach. It's literally an idea that is almost 2 years old and Bungie COULD have implemented it during their development during D2. But they're stubborn in their refusal to separate, at least in part, PVE from PVP. And until they do, this game will ALWAYS be a 2500 HP Dragster stuck in neutral gear - going nowhere because the games main modes are in constant conflict with one another.
-
1 AntwortenAbsolutely yes, because then I wouldn't care about PVP players trying to Nerf the whole game when they get beat
-
The numbers will speak for themselves this game is hanging on by a thread thanks to the awesome job of balancing BUNGIE has accomplished. Sarcasm alert eight years from now everyone is going to say wow Destiny 2 was awesome because it was so balanced.
-
"We listen the community " From D1 all the players ask to separate pvp from pve but every patch they nerfed weapons both in pvp and pve
-
2 AntwortenThat's my largest issue with Destiny since D1, they keep nerfing or changing things around pvp and that keeps hurting pve.
-
We have only been telling bungie this QUITE OBVIOUS fact for over 3 years now. They refuse to admit they are wrong.
-
Don't care as long as it is fun to play. Year 1 didn't have separate balance and is easily the peak of PvP in Destiny. If they need to balance separately to reach that fun again, that's fine. If they can balance together and bring back the style of year 1, that's fine too.
although I don't expect either considering bungie seems to hate fun... I expect them to leave it more or less as is and refuse to acknowledge that slow and teamshot-based PvP is terrible
1 AntwortenSure except for iron banner. I want that imbalanced character showcase that I can just cut loose with all kinds of gear. Aside from that, pvp would have to change significantly to bring me back. It lost its appeal through repeated Nerfs in D1 and removing special ammo on death was the nail in the coffin for me. I’ve played a handful of matches in D2 but it was a painful experience and I have zero interest in pvp as it stands now.
