Bearbeitet von A Syrian Refugee: 11/9/2017 5:29:02 PMYES!!! Halo like 1-50 ranking system and id be back on RIGHT NOW grinding away NO PROGRESION SYSTEM RANKING THOUGH. Progression system rankings are lame. You dont feel like you are accomplishing much as the ranks are basically handed to you as long as you play a lot. NO LEAGUE SYSTEM. League systems offer very little instant gratification. The 1-50 was PERFECT. Every time you logged in you could improve your ranking that day, or down rank if you played like crap. It offered unlimited replayability to Halo 2 and 3

Agreed... PvP is "Fun" ... but "Fun" won't keep you coming back for long. A well structure Ranking system would be a good incentive to sink time into getting better at the game.
-
2 AntwortenNah. PvP is trash no matter what gets added. Better to remove PvP completely.

1 AntwortenBearbeitet von GalaxySpider: 11/10/2017 11:25:21 AMSo people will complain even more about elitism and toxic players? Why introduce something „new“ which just splits the community even more... Also this game is not supposed to be Halo.

I’m not really a pvp guy and I wouldn’t use it. That being said it seems to be a popular recommendation, so I’m all for it.
-
Except the PVP is total trash. Rankings would mean nothing
-
1 AntwortenWhy? You can't choose your game mode and PvP is 4v4 team shot only. Rankings don't mean a thing in garbage PvP like this.

24 AntwortenBearbeitet von BXR Lonestar: 11/9/2017 4:30:31 PMI downvoted and here is the reason why: This game was NEVER designed to be a competitive PVP shooter. IMO, competitive PVP shouldn't even be in the game. But I understand that is MY opinion only and others feel different. So I'm willing to compromise and say that a competitive PVP mode/list should be offered. But that compromise comes with a catch: FULL separation from the rest of the game. Standardized loadouts, trickle modifier always on for competitive matches, separate loot pools, etc. to make sure that the competitive PVP mode is fully quarantined from the rest of the other game modes. Because if it wasn't clear from the way Y2/Y3 panned out, it's definitely crystal clear in D2 that competitive PVP just needs to be fully separated from the other modes and simply exist as its OWN entity. Until Bungie is willing to do that, I don't think we should start fleshing out the competitive PVP lists. Either that, or Bungie can at least come out and be honest with people that the game is intended to be a traditional FPS. So that the PVE players know what to expect from the game - and will probably just leave the franchise for good. [Edit] Let me just make myself clear. Its not the RANKED playlist that I object to. I simply mean that they have bigger fish to fry, like resolving the unified sandbox and the problems it creates in PVE and PVP. They need to address THAT problem first before they even think about trying to ramp up the competitive PVP mode IMO.

I want this so damn bad... But it really goes against Bungie's philosophy for this game ("everyone must feel good about their progress and skill, so we'll dumb it down and offer exotics for tying your Big-Guardian boots"). I get it, profit margins--casuals keep the game alive. But Goddamn, they're letting the hardcore fan-base starve this time around.

I miss my general emblem next to my name!!

That'd be nice.

With weekly rewards.

Can we upvote for you know, an actual game?
-
Side note. Say what you want about halo, but 343 has excellent post game support and communication with players.
-
If they do add RANKED PLAYLIST, the next move to bitch about is dedicated servers. Also it will increase the number of groups pub-stomping that will make solo players who do not want to play with others(yes, people like this exist) complain even more. I do wish they will add that in the future but there has to be different ranking for solo queue and group queue.
-
This game is dead lol
-
I think bungie sees trails as their ranked mode, but I’d rather have a level/progress bar/icon to show my rank.
-
They would need actual selectable playlists first with each one having its own rank.
-
But that would require a decent PvP experience. One which Destiny will never have.
-
Ranked is least of bungies worries I would think getting people to actually play pvp is the main goal here.
-
Could never get past rank 33 in Halo 3....grumble

Never happening, unfortunately. Bungie does not have the fortitude to manage a pvp game with ranks. They whined about how hard it was to manage halo 3 throughout the game's entire lifespan. They moaned about how much of an endeavor it was to field complaints about inconsistent leveling, selling accounts, everything. When Reach came out, we got the very sad "arena" playlist. It suffered a low population because it sucked. Bungie refused to do a real ranked playlist for Reach and the game died a premature death partly due to that. Bungie has never even entertained the though of another ranked pvp since h3, and they never again will. Too much work, too many hurt feelings.
