Don't get me wrong, I enjoy destiny 2 for what it is, and I'm having fun with it. I don't own any consoles so i never got to play D1 so im not sure how many crucible games modes there were. Anyway id like to see a big team battle game mode in destiny form( You guys are probably gonna hate me for saying that ><), but I think it'd be a good spin on one of their classic modes, they've even got a few vehicles that would be good additions to a casual pvp mode. So what do you guys think?

1 AntwortenNO. Combined Arms was stupid in Destiny 1.
-
no. having 8v8 would just be 8 people doing laps around the map and team shooting each other. no thanks
-
We know they are good at making vehicles, the Halo battles were epic when Halo was still a Bungie title. Maybe they signed some sort of legal document that says they can't use their epic vehicle creation skills for this game. If so, lame. Can't believe there isn't some sort of warthog-like vehicle for people to team up in while doing the campaign co-op style.

Would be good if bungie would invest in servers good enough to actually handle 16 players
-
Need weaponized sparrows or like jet packs with heavy machine guns on em... or a submarine fight on Titan... yes👀

-
Yes but not necessarily with vehicles
-
8vs8 was already a lag fest in Halo 3. Destiny’s P2P netcode can‘t even handle 6vs6 in D1....
-
Make it 12v12
-
Bungo please
-
Hell Yes! I assumed - stupid me! - that D2 would have PvP options involving much larger teams; something like Battlefield 1 or Star Wars: Battlefront, where it's 20v20 or larger. But no. Instead, we got a significantly reduced PvP, both in number of players per match and in optional game modes. Pretty pathetic.
-
Yes, but I also find it sad that you call 8v8 as big. 8v8 isn't big, it's just bigger than what we have.
-
I’ve been asking for that since 1. CA was still 6v6 so I’m asking for bigger teams 8v8 is a good start and maps. More heavy spawns will be needed.
-
Tank shells will need 2 hits to kill a guardian...lol

1 Antwortenfun fact : Destiny 1 had a gamemode called combined arms and which was exactly that : very large maps , 6V6 with zones to control and all vehicles/sparrows . In fact I think it's the weekly gamemode in D1 right now . But then they got rid of that with D2 . Because Bungie .
-
LMFAO! 8v8? The servers wouldn't be able to handle it.

2 AntwortenBearbeitet von Erijian: 11/2/2017 9:44:31 PMCould just bump the mode to 6v6 and let us play on old D1 maps like Skyshock with the other vehicles added into it. (Heavy Pike, Drake, Ultra Interceptor) the main issue was everyone camping with Sniper Rifles, but they're nonfactors in PvP now even when Power Ammo drops. Not sure if 8v8 would work too well since fireteams are capped at 6 currently.

8v8 combined arms, 6v6 clash control etc mode choice, 4v4 competitive---these should have been a base functionality.

Bearbeitet von CatMan: 11/2/2017 10:18:18 PMNo, that's way too much content.
😈
Yes. The addition of tanks make a good vehicular sandbox to play with along with the pike and interceptor variants.
-
PvP is not fun in any form so no
-
We had vehicles in Halo, and Bungie recently put vehicles I D2 quest line. So there is no reason why this can't happen. Upvote.

Bearbeitet von BaconRiot: 11/2/2017 10:06:31 PMI like this environment in almost every game, except destiny. for some reason the player mechanics are a bit wonky for a large, vehicle based battlefield. In addition to that, we have... The vehicles. Let's face it, they are bland and sucky. No air combat and I've yet to see a large Destiny map that didn't feel... Well flat from a vehicle warfare standpoint. I define good space shooter vehicle warfare by available vehicles like the Halo warthog and banshees. Difficult to master optimizing their overall performance, but devastating if the driver/ pilot is skilled enough. Basically, with some changes, sure. In it's current state... nah.
-
No. Simply because the servers can barely tolerate 4v4. 8v8 would be haywire.
-
I would like to see more and better vehicles. Would be a lot of fun.
-
Probably not unless they were to fix a lot of the other fundamental problems with D2's Pvp.
