5 AntwortenBearbeitet von Cultmeister: 11/3/2017 10:42:07 PMFascism =\= militant authoritarianism. Communism (the kind that people recognise today) and fascism both employ the same kind of violent tactics because they are both extreme. But Communism does not ‘rely’ on fascism, they are fundamentally different ideologies. Communism pits classes against each other, fascism pits races against each other.

11 AntwortenFascism is Far-Right. Communism is Far-Left. That's putting it simply but there is less fascism in a communist ideology than in a capitalist one.

3 AntwortenThey are different things. Fascism is basically right-wing authoritarian government. Usually based around hyper-nationalism or ethnic-racial hostility towards perceived enemies (both internal and external). Fascist states are usually dominated by one ethnic group (usually the ethnic majority), everyone else is reduced to second-class citizens (or worse). ...and there are usually close ties between the State and the Wealthy Elite/Corporations. Communism----true Communism as described by Karl Marx in Das Kapital----is a Dictatorship of the Working Class (Proletariat). Marx believed that Capitalism was irredeemable would irresistibly reduce those who only had their labor to sell to the condition of being little more than serfs or slaves. So he felt that the only way to avoid this was the working class to seize control of government...and use its power to tear down those things that prop up Capitalism. Namely private property, free markets, and individual profit. As a result property in a true communist state is COLLECTIVELY owned by "The People". Especially the "means of production" (industry). All economic activity is CENTRALLY planned by the government. Prices are fixed. All forms of private profit and private enterprise are illegal. As a result (unlike the close alliance between the State and the Wealthy Elite that you get in Fascist states) Communist governments and the Wealthy Elite are MORTAL ENEMIES. Because the first thing at Communist government usually did upon taking power was to "NATIONALIZE" all forms of economically significant business (the People now own it)....and SEIZE and Redistribute the wealth and property of the countries traditional elite. (But then merely replace it with a bureaucratic elite soon afterward. "Meet the New Boss. Same as the Old Boss.") TLDR: Authoritarianism IS a part of Communist government. Communism is left-wing authoritarianism. Fascism is right-wing authoritarianism. They are both totalitarian forms of government. But---aside from that----they are VERY different.

They're not the same thing. And saying so is rather foolish. Fascism exalts the nation (or a certain race) above all people. The pride of the country is more important than the individual. So individual freedoms are sacrificed to uphold the pride of the nation. A Fascist society outlaws things like kneeling for the national anthem, or desecrating the flag. This is a problematic system because it extremely susceptible to corruption, as we saw with Germany and Italy between WW1 and WW2. Communism is different. Communism exalts the community over the individual. Individual freedoms are sacrificed for the common good. The core ideology is that everyone contributes to society equally and therefore should receive equal everything. On paper the system works. But in practice it doesn't come close. It is why we have never seen communism executed to what Karl Marx intended it to be. But unlike Fascism, pride is completely destroyed. Every single person is the same, no person more important than another. Similar to Fascism, communism is extremely susceptible to corruption. The Russian Revolution was the first implementation of communism and it led to one man killing millions of his own people. The two systems are very different. Fascism doesn't need communism to exist, and the opposite is true as well.

In case you where wondering.... communism and fascism are on different ends of the political spectrum, but don't let facts interupt your lovely beliefs 🤗 Fascism can exist in any economic model and is usually the merging of nationalist beliefs with the military and corporations. Sayyy....... that kinda sounds like America 🤔, but wait, I thought America was capitalist..........whoopsss.

2 Antworten
Fascism is essential to the success of communism. Stop saying they're different things you morons.
By saying that one is essential to the success of the other, you already presuppose in your post title that they are two different things.

37 AntwortenI was inclined to agree, until I decided to research, before developing an opinion... They are quite different, nearly the opposite of each other, if it were not for the fact that communism has never been executed properly, because of the corruption of power... Basically my understanding is this... Fascism puts the nation before the people, and communism puts the community before the individual (in theory) ...

A true communist state in the vision of Karl Marx cannot exist unless literally every country has revolutions within a year of the first. This is because pure communism is classless and stateless, so the socialist transition phase (This is where it always ends realistically) must be incredibly short, between 6 months to 3 years. If there is a country/ enough countries who do not have a revolution, permanent socialist dictatorships take place and thus communism has failed.

1 AntwortenCapitalism is essential to the success of Communism.
