Table of Contents https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/225386550/0/0 "YAAAAAAH!" The sound of Trixie's battle cry burst out from behind us. I didn't even have time to look over my shoulder before someone hit me and I was launched into a dilapidated wall. I came to rest facing the others. Nat was already dead, while Quintel and Null were engaging Keis, Sierra, and Yvan. Quintel shot Sierra, but Keis and Yvan got too close. Yvan stabbed Null in the throat with his knife while Keis disarmed Quintel and disintegrated him with a Palm. I scanned the ground, spotting my gun a meter away. I quickly crawled towards it, seeing Crag stepping over Welkine's body. Everyone gave Drew and Trixie a wide berth as they rolled over the ground, laughing as they brawled. It seemed we all understood that they wanted to be left alone to enjoy themselves. I reached for my gun, but stopped cold when someone planted their high-heeled boot on it. "Looking for something?" Veronica inquired, swiftly kicking me in the head. The blow put me in a daze, and I struggled to get up. "I can't believe you all fell for that," Crag muttered. Yvan crouched in front of me, using his cloak to wipe Null's blood off of his knife, and said, "Yeah. You dipsticks are kinda disappointing." "Keis," Veronica purred, "If you would." Keis' shadow fell over me as he bent down and rested a hand on my shoulder. A small swirl of Void energy was my only warning before I was disintegrated. • • • "I'm getting really tired of this hide and seek," Quintel grumbled, peering through the big hole in the wall, "And whenever we find them, they jump out and kill us." "It's a good strategy," I conceded, pacing through the middle of the room. "I guess," Welkine acknowledged, "But aren't we supposed to be winning?" "Yeah," I answered wearily. Bravo team had managed to stay ahead of us the entire match, and I was getting tired of people punching my face. "They're not here," I concluded, "Let's go." The six of us trudged down the stairwell, Drew taking the lead. As we rounded the corner halfway down, Drew jumped and pointed out the exit. "I SEE CRAG!" He exclaimed, sprinting out ahead of us. "Wait!" I warned as Welkine and Nat followed him, "It could be a trap!" "Might as well follow 'em," Null sighed, jogging past me with Quintel. I gave up and trailed behind them. Drew led us around the back of the building and the silo loomed ahead of us. There, he slowed to a confused stop. "Where'd he go?" He puzzled. Welkine strode ahead of him, towards the silo, and replied, "Probably past there." "Careful," I cautioned, "Never let Crag sneak up on you." "Hey," Welkine defended, passing by the base of a platform held up by crumbling columns, "I'm like a ninja. No one can sneak up o-" He cut off with a strangled cough as Crag slid out from behind one of the columns and stabbed his throat. "Crap!" Quintel yelled. Drew charged and Null followed, forgetting about their guns. Crag moved away from Welkine's body, drawing them farther. As Drew passed the overhang, a red-clad arm swung out and sent him stumbling backwards. Null slid down next to Welkine, attempting to revive him. "Hey, boys!" Veronica called as she plummeted from a hole in the wall above us. She landed on Quintel, pinning him, and continued, "We really have to stop meeting like this." I moved to help, but Sierra dropped in front of me, slashing with her knife. I held up my gun, using it to block several slashes before barreling forward and knocking her down. We fell in a heap, me on top of her, and she brought her knife up to stab me. I grabbed her wrists, focusing my efforts on keeping it away from my face. "You know," Veronica addressed Sierra and me, holding Quintel down as he squirmed, "I always thought your positions would be switched." "Shut up," Sierra snapped, "You're disgusting. Focus on the fight." "Says the rough-and-tough Huntress who just got laid out by her boyfriend," Veronica retorted slyly. Sierra growled in response as Veronica returned her attention to her prisoner, "So, lover boy, what now?" "BACK OFF MY MAN!" Nat demanded, shooting Veronica in the side. Veronica rolled off of Quintel. "HEY, WILLY!" Trixie bellowed, springing up out of nowhere and kicking me off of Sierra, "Veronica and Craggy said I could keep you busy! But when I didn't understand, they said I could just punch you instead!" Sierra stood, brushing off dust, and Trixie greeted her, "Hi, Sandwich!" "That one was definitely on purpose," Sierra grouched. "You need to get better at fighting," Trixie said, ignoring Sierra's comment, "We could spar together! And I'll braid your hair! And we'll hug and talk about girl stuff!" I stood as Trixie switched to her serious voice, "Because one cannot survive in this world if they ca-" She cut off as I tossed a grenade and it stuck to her chest, then said in her normal, bubbly tone, "What a cute glowy-ball!" Sierra dived away as the grenade blew up, disintegrating Trixie. Nat and Quintel shot her before she could get back up, and I looked to see that they had already finished off Veronica. My gun rematerialized in my hands and I turned to the others. But I didn't have a chance to see anything as Drew crashed into me, knocking me down. "This guy is awesome!" Drew hooted, recovering from whatever had hit him. Before I could ask who he was talking about, the familiar weight of Keis' boot pressed down on my back, shoving me down as he jumped at Drew. I picked my head back up and saw Keis duck under a punch from Drew, slugging the Titan in the stomach. An explosion drew my attention to the others. Null was dead, next to Welkine, and Crag had just thrown a grenade at Nat and Quintel. Yvan burst through the aftermath, smacking Quintel's gun away from him. Crag was close behind, slipping past Yvan to cut Quintel's shoulder. Nat couldn't shoot without risking hitting Quintel, so she rushed into the fray. Yvan moved up between the two Titans, deflecting a blow from the butt of Nat's rifle. Crag went past Quintel, slashing at him again, and kicked Nat's leg. Crag doubled over and Yvan rolled over his back, bringing his leg down in a powerful kick on Nat's head. Quintel rose up behind them, about to pummel them, but Crag spun and cut him again. Yvan threw his knife over Crag's shoulder and into Quintel's chest, then Crag kicked him in the gut. Yvan leapt over Crag, using his Light to jump again in midair, then landed in front of Quintel. He twirled, swinging his leg high and slamming his heel into Quintel's helmet. I hurried to get up, but Drew fell on top of me with a grunt. I was crushed under his weight as he pushed himself up to his hands and knees. "Uh oh," Drew said. "What?" I looked under his arm and saw Keis standing a distance away from us, holding out his arm as Void energy flowed down to his glowing hand, "Oh crap." Drew scurried back, grabbing me as he stood, and dragged me behind him. Keis flung his arm forward, and a Nova Bomb flew straight at us. The Nova Bomb hit the ground directly behind us. The explosion sent us tumbling across the ground. My vision was blurry, my ears were ringing, and everything hurt. After a second, I began to hear Rush speaking, "-so lucky Drew pulled your useless butt out of there." I looked around, everything still slightly blurry. Drew was already stumbling to his feet. My legs were scorched from the explosion, and I was glad my Light was healing me. Sadly, that meant my hearing was coming back. "See that, Will," Rush taunted, talking about Drew, "That's what a good Guardian looks like. You've literally just been rolling around in the dirt for half a minute." "Shut it," I mumbled, propping myself up with my elbows and testing my legs. They were still healing. Keis strode into my sight, heading towards us, and Drew trotted to meet him. Keis stopped, planting his feet and raising his hands in a fighting stance, letting Drew come to him. Drew got close and suddenly shot forward, punching Keis's head with all his might. Keis started to fall back from the impact, and I let out a cheer. But Keis shifted his foot back and caught himself. Drew barely had time to be surprised before Keis swung his arm in an uppercut. Drew's head snapped back as my jaw dropped. "What?!" Rush exclaimed for me. No one had ever shaken off a hit from Drew. Keis didn't relent, pursuing the staggering Titan and battering him with punches. Drew managed to stop himself, preparing to retaliate, but Keis hit him with a jab to the face and he lost his footing. Drew couldn't fight back as Keis slugged him, then brought his elbow back in a followup blow. Drew swung out his arm in a desperate attempt to repel the Warlock, but Keis caught his arm, twisting it and putting Drew in a helpless position. Drew tried tearing himself free from Keis's grip, but the Warlock hammered his elbow into Drew's shoulder, holding the arm back at a painful looking angle. Keis braced the back of Drew's head with a hand and snapped his knee up into Drew's face. He repeated the action, this time shattering the visor on Drew's helmet. Drew went limp and Keis let him fall to the ground. "That guy is definitely a Titan...." Rush muttered, "A scary one."
