A lot of things they added with dlc's were updates that added to the game without having to own a dlc. You're game still got better without spending a dime.
Destiny 2 basically reset that and a bit more.

You think those were free? Think these guys work for nothing? I don't think so. The way you're looking at it, I will get fee dlc in December. But if you look at it that way, I paid $100 for a shit base game.
