Lol, I'm in the same boat. Played D1 religiousely from beta all through the 3 years. Completed every challenge, tried to get every piece of gear.
Then D2 came along.
I have no drive to do anything.
This is where people that don't acknowledge Destiny as an MMO like WoW fail to understand why D2 was a failure. Destiny 2 should have either launched with all content from D1, or it should have been a DLC and graphical overhaul to D1. Why do you think WoW never got a sequel?
Here's my major questions:
What is going to happen 3 years from now?
In Destiny 3 are we going to lose all our loot again, but to the pyramid ships instead?
Are we going to get a half baked casual game with significantely less content than Destiny 2 (go from 4 raids, over 10 strikes, tons of other content to significantely less)?
If any of the questions are answered with "Yes" than I am leaving this franchise after the season pass DLC. Because that is a load of horse$#!t.
In order for this franchise to survive, the old content must be carried over through each game or DLC. Same with the mechanics and gear. Bungie should solely be working on adding constant content to the game, nothing else.
