I was wondering if anyone had any end game ideas that aren’t about random rolls coming back, as they won’t.
I have a few and thought perhaps we could share them.
1. Make Priority targets valid- Personally I think this is a no brainer and very easy to do. I would have them drop fragments of a exotic. Meaning you’d have to find and kill everyone on a certain planet to get a unique item. This for me would improve the end game as the Priority target could change up each season and bring about new gear every change.
2. Randomise Heroic public events- by now we all know how to turn every PE heroic and we know what’s coming. Wouldn’t it be interesting if turning the event Heroic would have three or four different out comes? This could also be improved by random fragments being the reward for doing a HPE. Much like my first point which would form a unique item.
3. Fragments in general- if you’ve read my first two points you can see I’m into this fragment idea. I just think getting something that will turn into something unique would give a more grind worth end game. Now I’m not a big fan of the grind, but grinding for something is better than what 90% of us are doing now. We all seem to be happy to grind for the Mida, why not have world, event or action specified gear.
What do you guys think of these simple ideas, have you anything better? Not random rolls please

1 AntwortenI think endgame for D2 according to bungie is Friendship yeah sure says the devs with the most toxic fans

3 AntwortenRight now I'm collecting every single legendary weapon and infusing them to max power to have my own personal armory

1 AntwortenFaction Rallies added a major to all the public events. Made it quite difficult for some players to solo. But even then, it was just a reskinned public event with an added enemy. What we really need are of course more PVE events for endgame each week. And not just reskins.

1 AntwortenYour idea is good. But even still people would complain. You see no ones going to be happy unless it's an OP or near OP item. Otherwise "it's trash." Collectors would be happy and it would be something to chase though. Similar ideas could go on all over the game too. And they don't have to grant exotics. It just has to be unique.

1 AntwortenAbility to trigger heroic lost sectors. Add rare, specific loot to each planet. For example a full armour set for Nessus and a legendary weapon. Make the drop rate low (give us a reason to grind). Heroic strikes with strike specific loot. Take the bullshit timer off the NF so people can at least have a go at soloing.

3 AntwortenA hoarde mode or survival type mode with tiered rewards would be nice. Just some kind of infinite game mode with constantly scaling difficulty would be nice

Bearbeitet von IMADAJ: 10/17/2017 9:08:56 PMBring back tiered end game events again. Destiny 1 Complete story. Run low level strike playlist. Get drops to hit 1st light level soft cap. Run mid level strike playlist to get legendary marks. Use marks to buy legendary gear to raise light level until you can... Run high level strikes. Marks drop at a higher rate. Run until light is high enough for raid and nightfall. We got to start a playlist and feel weak while slowly gaining power. We felt this at every level so we felt the gear make a difference at each playlist as it became hard and then easy again while the rewards kept getting better. It doest need to be multiple strike playlists. The end game climb could be a mix of strikes, heroic public events, harder lost sectors, whatever. For example The story gets us to 170 Heroic public events 180-210 Heroic lost sectors 220-250 Strikes 260-290 Raids/trials/nightfall 300-330 TLDR: bring back the tiered end game playlists where you had to go through each level in order to take you to the next.

Something similar to prison of elders again would be good if the rewards are better. Sparrow racing again would be good. More and better exotic quests...But nothing as ridiculous as the Raid Shotty. Bring back the Exotic class items and swords. Uhhhh...Well, that's just a few. But all of those are just re-hashing D1 content. Bungie has lost their imagination.

2 AntwortenBearbeitet von chad_599: 10/17/2017 1:14:52 PMOn the public event topic, I did enjoy that I was in the middle of completing a public event at the cabal base in the edz when another player was in the middle of an adventure mission. So we had cabal and fallen all over the place (plus an interceptor rolled in the mix). It was great! We fought the ads, the ads fought each other, I helped the other Guardian and there was no way he could complete his mission with a giant servitor looming over. It felt like a random encounter and added surprisonly a lot of fun to the norm.

4 AntwortenI like your ideas a lot! I think there's a missed opportunity with the "Lost" Sectors. They're not really "lost" if they're marked on my map lol. They should take this off the map and maybe make them random every week so there's more satisfaction when you find one. Since they took away random rolls, they need to add a ton more weapons and armor. Right now there aren't any unique attributes. I don't like that there's a "best Titan/Hunter/Warlock" after a month of playing. There should be more experiments with certain builds, but unfortunately we don't have many options. I would like to see 4 person patrols. This would be HUGE. Right now we have to drop one person for a strike then pick them back up for Crucible, etc. It's an annoyance that could easily be addressed. I would also like to see blue weapons and armor drop less when you get to a certain level. These are all minor changes that could have a great positive outcome.

8 AntwortenBearbeitet von GamerCone: 10/17/2017 6:38:44 PMI think your fragment idea is good. Any type of endgame reward really would suffice there. Personally I believe improving and expanding the mod system they introduced could solve 90% of people's complaints. In my opinion the mod system needs to be far more in depth, every single attribute a weapon could have (explosive rounds, dragonfly, high-Cal rounds, etc...) should be a mod that could be added to a weapon. They should also add another mod slot so players can utilize one for energy/kinetic power level bonus, and one more slot for an additional perk. The same for armor. They should add an extra slot and add more mods like "take less damage when using solar based sub-class" "increased heavy ammo capacity" etc... They should have it cost more "mod components" (can't remember what it's called when you dismantle a legendary mod) to create specific mods. Instead of 2 components to create a random mod, creating "perk mods" like a legendary High-Caliber Round mod for weapons or increased heavy ammo capacity for armor should be something like 20 mod components. Once the "perk slot" is filled it cannot be changed, unlike the kinetic/energy mod slot which you can swap out constantly so long as you have a mod and the glimmer to do so, as you can currently do in the game. This would keep players grinding, and placing a perk mod in a weapon really means something since it's permanent. So if you end up wanting a different perk in your favorite auto rifle, or love specific perks for PVE and others for PVP you'll have to grind out for another one of your favorite auto's so you can have one with your PVP perk and one with your PVE perk. You should also get those legendary mod components back along with the legendary shards and glimmer you currently get from dismantling legendary gear. This would also make receiving gear under your power level useful again. Because there will be a useful economy for your legendary shards and mod components. Something that max level players can keep grinding for, building up better mods and grinding for their favorite weapons to experiment with different options. I also believe they can maintain balance with this by testing how all the mods work with each weapon archetype and adjusting the effect of the mod accordingly for each archetype. Anyway, I'm hoping they were already planning on something like this, but we'll have to wait and see.

1 AntwortenNeeds more secrets and exotic missions - the dreadnaught was amazing in D1 when it first launched - so many puzzles and secrets. The community was really fun trying to solve them all.
