Year one had its problems but it kept people playing and that's because the real level cap was tied to the raid and you actually had to level stuff up (armor, weapons, and subclasses) love the grind or hate it but it kept people interested in playing it. Now it's way to easy to level up to cater to casuals which has completely ruined the game and what really made it fun.
Had this in the thread but not many actually saw it so I'm editing.
For all the "what do you think destiny should be or what is d2 lacking people"
1. D2 is a sequel not a dlc and should have had certain things that were GUARANTEED with its release.....NEW character class with all new subclasses to unlock, NEW enemy types, NEW types of playlist activities( not just revamped ones like public events), and of course the only one they actually gave us new areas to explore......these things should have been in the release for $60....instead all we got was a way overpriced dlc to which they took out all the old content.
2. This game seriously needs a horde mode simply for fun at end game just like pvp
3. Iron banner should have something that seriously defines it from regular crucible.....I'd personally like to see it be 4v4v4 and have power level matter.
4. They need to learn the meaning of the saying "the more the merrier" larger fireteams in strike playlists with a harder difficulty of course and public events.....preferably even like a 12 man raid that is more bullet sponge instead of strategy (not that they don't still need the 6 man raid that is strategy) with matchmaking simply for fun not for raid loot....maybe just give a guaranteed exotic or something meaningless but the point is it'd be something fun for a big fireteam and wouldn't matter if a few were carried or had mics.
5. Weapons and armor should need to be leveled up just not in the same way they used to.....maybe have vendors sell weapons and armor with set perks that don't need to but if you come across one while playing and you like the perks you have some activity tied to unlocking them (kinda like the original 3 exotic swords and the strike you had to do before you could get it).
6. I think it's about time they come out with a new elemental type.....corrosive maybe (kinda like thorn)....it'd be nice for 4th subclass with a new element also
7. Think they should take a page from borderlands on this one and have 4 weapon slots.....kinetic, elemental, sniper/shotgun/fusion rifle, and then power(also for the love of god bring back machine guns!)
8. This one is just a neat idea I've had about making our ships kinda like our home and let you spawn into them and decorate with all of your collection.
9. Engrams turned in should give a 3 item option to chose from so you don't end up with as many duplicates
10. Let you choose what game type you want to play in crucible.
11. More customization options with weapons armor and subclass.

18 AntwortenI love the grind but i also remember how destiny was based on luck to get that perfect weapon. Right now i've got other responsibilities in life. I don't have the whole weekend to grind for gear that i want. In that regard i love destiny 2. I can easily switch between two games. Easily get my milestones without frustration. Still make time for my family and my job. I think there is more besides a game than just grinding. Enjoy it. Or we will always complain. They complained about destiny too.

Iron banner. -blam!- you iron banner. 30 packages two armor pieces and a shit load of cryptarch and gunsmith rewards and also -blam!-ing shaders. Come on Bungie wtf.
-
Yep there's no grind anymore. We should have weapon rolls back but keep range and stability static, so rolls only give you stuff like a faster reload or kill clip. Got every gun in the game now and every shader as well. We need strike specific loot, more armour, more guns. More rare stuff, weapon roll that still maintain balance.

I'm a new d2 player and I love some of the more accessible feature but I'm also a serious player whose annoyed that I've levelled up so quickly to the point that we are looking for things to do (outside of raid). Furthermore every non serious player has same gear and level (almost) and as a result we waste half our time on quitters or squeekers. I also don't like the shader system 1 use and how I'm giving 170 of one brown shade and 3 of the one I want lol and you have to press the dismantle button 170 times in 2017 lol Also the vaults so small that I have every shader slot full but I have new shaders in mailbox lol I'm scared to use them due to the 1 use system! So please fix level cap, shaders system or atleast make the bloody vault larger for gear and shaders...especially if you want me to buy them from the obnoxious shop!

2 AntwortenYou should have to level your gear up. Including the attack and defense like vanilla Destiny. But for Legendary gear you could earn random perks that are not shown when you get the item. Example: Raid gear. Completing the different parts of the raid will give you differant perks. Like in the garden you could aquire a perk for better stealth if your always sneaking or if you are mostly the one looking for the plant. A perk to help with that. Plus a perk to help take the dogs down.

I really miss that super hero feeling that came with being a Guardian. I feel so watered down now, like I'm still looking for my ghost to get my powers back...

Bungie is not catering for casuals. It's catering for new bread of tablet players who want instant rewards with minimum effort. You are a seasoned veteran who grew up playing hard games where beating the game meant something. D1 had that in early days. The new players nowadays grow up on candy crush and simpler games where u get rewarded for moving a finger or just being online. Bungie tried to make an eco system where level meant nothing but team work meant a lot. Guess what, they failed to impress the veterans becuase they couldn't do enough. The current raid is full of flaws. If u have a good team it can be done in under 25 mins (see youtube). If a team has one weakling it sucks for hours. Trials is paid carry or raffle and it gets worse each week due to people quitting and moving on. Story was anti climatic even with good cinematic effects. Ghual had it coming from the day guardians found the corrupted shards... No big deal. Guardians have killed gods and time controlling vex... Ghual was a wannabe god who bit more than he could chew... He had ships and no space magic so what was he expecting. Seriously, Cabal and Fallen are no match for the dominant Guardians in this universe... Aka lore sucks. Bungie will never fix this because this is their sales model now. Yes the cost is veterans like you but then again you already paid for D1 and all it's DLC so your accout is closed (or maxed out it's revenue). I can tell you a lot of personal friends who hate this and their kids who want to buy this.... It's a model fit for Bungie sales. Nothing else.

D2 has helped me realize I don’t need to play 6 hours of video games every night. Thanks?

I like the leveling system what I actually hate is the how it's done. Old system play until you get to do the raid bad part is you have to find people to do it with. Which means LFG elitis, streamers,YouTubers, and twitchers get to make a job/money off of people by offering there services and telling you what you can and can't use. New system play by yourself get to the level cap and then find your team to play raid or whatever with and basically have any and all weapons to use. Bad part is you still have those jackasses trying to tell you what you can and can't use for certain activities. So it's basically the same crap just a new game. The bad part is instead of bungie learning from this the make the same mistakes that screwed the destiny 1 out of a joyful experince for players. Half it has to do with the game wasn't desgined right and the false advertisement for and fps game that would be a mmo rpg game was all found out the hard way by the player base. I'm other words not enough PvE content to make it a mmo rpg experince for anyone at this point it's a shitty rpg at best. The leveling system isn't bad there are a few tweaks that need to be inserted into the system but other then that it's not really that bad. Bungie just made it where you can't use one character to level up the other like from destiny 1. Example oh you got level 300 warlock helmet but oh you titans helmet is still at 150 well to bad you can't infuse it like you use to. The only time you can do that is with the guns but make sure you have the same class gun or your screwed.

1 Antwortenas a casual myself, there is nothing for us to do either, pointless to do anything outside of a few hours during reset.

I played D1 for 3 years none stop but have already stopped playing d2. Sucks

1 AntwortenDestiny 2 is so casual that even my mom beat the game and reached ll300 in 2 days. Was this game made for 4y olds? If so, why is it rated T+?

1 AntwortenI say they scrap D2 and make content for Destiny. Separate PVP and PVE in some manner and make a kick ass PVE with stronger weapons, better raids, more content, etc. We need more weapons like gjallahorn, and less pulse canons.
-
Weapon system is what I miss... not fun to kill shit anymore, no standout guns to use/chase... boring game
-
2 AntwortenI love destiny and yet I'm afraid that the game is going to die because of lack of endgame. Bungie said it's going to take this seriously. They better because I ran out of things to do 3 weeks ago. I'm dying for new content right now

1 AntwortenLets be honest here people it pretends to be an mmorpg shooter hybrid. When in fact its a kids arcade whack a mole shooter.

6 AntwortenWhat I hated the most in D2 were the weapons, the ttk and the movements. Back in d1 I WAS SURE that my vendor roll hawksaw would kill someone with 3 bursts, that my Pali would kill with 3 taps, and you had so many other cool options to use: blind perdition, eyasluna, last word. In D2, I can’t rely on any weapon because I never know its behavior. They are not consistent and I’m never sure if I should peek a lane or if I’ll have enough time to kill someone before getting into cover again. In d2, sniping is a joke. There was nothing more fun than hitting that no-scope, quick-scope, or pairing your sniper with a last word. I MISS THE NO LAND BEYOND SO MUCH!!! I miss rumble, trials and even skirmish, when I wasn’t in the mood for 6v6’s. In d1, in spite of all the unbalanced stuff, you had lots of resources. You could shotgun kill someone, turn around, throw a sticky, turn around again and 3-burst someone with a hawksaw. There, an easy 3-piece. And I think that that’s what made d1 so fun, its speed and versatility. In D2, you’ll rarely engage 1v1’s. And if you do, it won’t take long until another enemy appears and team-shoots you. It is impossible to get multikills if you don’t use your super or a power weapon. That really frustrates me. There was nothing more gratifying that getting multiple kills and listen to shaxx screaming. Finally, the movements of the different characters were what made destiny, destiny. Titan skating with shoulder charge and twilight garrison, hunter jumping with bones of eao and warlock gliding. It was a fast-paced game that gave us plenty of options. I keep playing d2 because I love the franchise. However, instead of playing 12 hours straight like in d1, I get bored in the first hour.
