Year one had its problems but it kept people playing and that's because the real level cap was tied to the raid and you actually had to level stuff up (armor, weapons, and subclasses) love the grind or hate it but it kept people interested in playing it. Now it's way to easy to level up to cater to casuals which has completely ruined the game and what really made it fun.
Had this in the thread but not many actually saw it so I'm editing.
For all the "what do you think destiny should be or what is d2 lacking people"
1. D2 is a sequel not a dlc and should have had certain things that were GUARANTEED with its release.....NEW character class with all new subclasses to unlock, NEW enemy types, NEW types of playlist activities( not just revamped ones like public events), and of course the only one they actually gave us new areas to explore......these things should have been in the release for $60....instead all we got was a way overpriced dlc to which they took out all the old content.
2. This game seriously needs a horde mode simply for fun at end game just like pvp
3. Iron banner should have something that seriously defines it from regular crucible.....I'd personally like to see it be 4v4v4 and have power level matter.
4. They need to learn the meaning of the saying "the more the merrier" larger fireteams in strike playlists with a harder difficulty of course and public events.....preferably even like a 12 man raid that is more bullet sponge instead of strategy (not that they don't still need the 6 man raid that is strategy) with matchmaking simply for fun not for raid loot....maybe just give a guaranteed exotic or something meaningless but the point is it'd be something fun for a big fireteam and wouldn't matter if a few were carried or had mics.
5. Weapons and armor should need to be leveled up just not in the same way they used to.....maybe have vendors sell weapons and armor with set perks that don't need to but if you come across one while playing and you like the perks you have some activity tied to unlocking them (kinda like the original 3 exotic swords and the strike you had to do before you could get it).
6. I think it's about time they come out with a new elemental type.....corrosive maybe (kinda like thorn)....it'd be nice for 4th subclass with a new element also
7. Think they should take a page from borderlands on this one and have 4 weapon slots.....kinetic, elemental, sniper/shotgun/fusion rifle, and then power(also for the love of god bring back machine guns!)
8. This one is just a neat idea I've had about making our ships kinda like our home and let you spawn into them and decorate with all of your collection.
9. Engrams turned in should give a 3 item option to chose from so you don't end up with as many duplicates
10. Let you choose what game type you want to play in crucible.
11. More customization options with weapons armor and subclass.

It's a shame, Guardian.

Totally agree. Only a month gone and I am done with everything. Pretty tbh!! Expected a lot more

3 AntwortenSo what you are trying to say is nerf fighting lion?
-
2 AntwortenI always think of what the game could have been if Joseph Staten never left the team
-
4 AntwortenYou even blamed- this app too man, I want the old one back where you can check stats, medals etc and I miss g-cards too, the old app wasn’t broken, why do you always continue to blam about with things that aren’t broken and leave stuff that is.. bungie moto: if It ain’t broken then we’ve done something wrong, and if it is broken, who cares we got your cash fool..
-
Already given up on D2. It is such a train wreck it's not even fun to play. When the overwhelming response you have to a game is frustration then just stop playing it.
-
1 AntwortenUnfortunately, Destiny will never go in the direction the majority of people want it to go as Bungievision is pretty much exclusively seeking a more casual audience for the product. Meaning, consistent dumbing down of all systems and making any and all activities award the best possible items. It's no secret at this point that Activision could not care less about the end product but rather the income it generates. We'll continue to see a downward incline in all systems in this game until there is nothing left to do but log on do 1 strike then log off again for an entire week in order to get the best items, oh wait....

3 AntwortenWat really bothers me about the game currently is the lack of incentive and poor design choices let's list some 1. No real reason to grind the strike playlists ( I know how people still grinded Siva crisis even on the last day of D1 ) but in D2 no exclusive loot table in strikes for gear or weapons to chase etc..and why would you not have the scoring like in D1 simple implementations and tie the scoring, efficiency, completion time etc to the loot drops 2. Weapons ? Who told bungie I don't want to go out into the wild and level up my weapons but No it's fully upgraded which means everyone can just grab that Uriel's gift and feel like they are now good in PvP in less than an hour of gameplay..and wat is this fighting lion I hear of..( that's the type of thing that gets you kicked from a fireteam ) 3. OMG Wat is with the tokens JEEZ. Grinding for glimmer (ok) but tokens instead of faction levels I don't get it..and is it just me or does it feel like all destiny 2 NPC's have the same loot table..don't even get me started on master Rahool.. 4. Like let's face facts the Leviathan is not a rewarding 2-3 hour activity forget youtubers and all those how to's... You get rewarded more glimmer than engrams oh and the engrams master Rahool will just hand you another merciless. Point is your raid gear has nothing on my blue 300 gear..it's either more resilience, mobility, or recovery..and maybe some aesthetics to try to make me jealous ...bungie scored a nice zero there Now bungie the reason for this huge shit you took on the community I understand that yes the bosses need you to put out product so they can get paid just remember when it comes down to it those youtubers and content creators you will need to give your game any credibility come DLC ...well we will see because no one gets fooled by trailers anymore..Those who played D1 and did not buy D2 know why.. You say casuals but casuals need all these too.ive said enough

Bearbeitet von Capt Explodabob: 10/17/2017 8:45:06 AMAt the very least, I'll say that I genuinely like the universe. It's essentially a poor man's Halo with a bit of Star Wars mixed in. That'd be an insult by any other standard. But just being compared to either of those franchise is a compliment in and of itself. It's amazing what Staten managed to accomplish while simultaneously being fucked over by his fellow employees.

I was with you until you mentioned casuals. Not everybody has the time (or inclination) to play 5 or 6 hours a day. Personally, my ears hurt from wearing the headphones after a couple of hours.
-
1 AntwortenPut thousands of hours in to destiny 1. Don't think I'll do the same on destiny 2. It's to different from destiny 1. And not the game I love anymore. I no it's a sequel and that's fine. Its just sad that all the players that stuck with the destiny franchise threw thick and thin are being pushed aside to cater for casual gamers instead. Casual gamers will not keep this game alive. And pushing away all the loyal fans that kept destiny going makes no sense to me. I used to get so excited with destiny 1, but there is nothing to get excited about destiny 2. Example..... Players getting raid and trials gear for just being part of a clan that has completed them events. I mean really bungie????? I rest my case. I'm out 👍

Bearbeitet von eviltedi: 10/17/2017 8:58:19 AMUp voted. I loved the idea of a ten year journey with your guardians progressing with you, I think the Destiny universe had great potential for that adventure too, but Bungie seem to have other ideas now.

1 AntwortenWhy bother complaining about this when so much else in the game is a joke, the fighting lion, the graviton lance, the completely broken RNG and getting non-Iron Banner loot as an Iron Banner package. I could go on for an hour. The raid is so overly complicated that groups keep breaking up when people run out of time. If levelling was tied primarily to this messed up raid, I would ditch Destiny and everything to do with Bungie for the rest of my life. I would like to agree with you solely due to the fact that I hate Bungie with a fiery passion that borders on hysterical rage right now, but I can't. I've been stuck at 304 with my Hunter for two weeks. I've gotten at least 7 Graviton Lance pulse rifles and in a game where pulse rifles suck, The Graviton Lance is like the retarded half brother of a bad class. I guess we're all a little disgusted with Bungle right now.

3 AntwortenDestiny 2 has lost all the things I liked about destiny 1. -the god roll -real rare exotics -a proper raid this one is more like the Paralympics. -I still miss the old nightfall (return to orbit) -there is no use for strikes. There are some things I think improved but overall after this short time I'm done with it. I await the dlc

Personally i think d2 story would have been a great way to wrap up d1 (last cabal expansion). Then they could have had a fresh start exploring new systems with new enemys, this would have been far more intresting and less "rinse and repeat" i just think bungie has fallen into max cash minimum effort developer now, sad really 🤔
-
I do really enjoy this game, but I was expecting much more. No, D2 should not start off the size of the entire d1 and expansions, but if D2 was the exact same as D1 but with the new sfory, it would be so fun. Im not sure what they were thinking. Bungie had all the feed back from D1 but when they finally got it right, they try to change it all in D2? I dont know why, and it makes me wonder if thats what they really intended, or if Activision played a bigger role. In any case, I still love Destiny, and will see what D2 has in store. The game may grow to be even better as it expands.

Let's not forget that power level doesn't mean shit. Literally level advantages are disabled in everything. Absolutely no point in being 305.
-
Bearbeitet von GAT DAT FOOL: 10/17/2017 11:58:31 AMI really hate what d2 is currently, I also think lazy ass bungo have no idea what destiny should be, this game already is a major flop when d2 first launched their was at least 5 friend pages full of d2 players most of whom were d1 hardcore now I barely see 1 page of friends playing d2 it seems the f2p games are doing a lot better than this AAA trash of a game
-
Raids, nightfalls, iron banner, trials... This places should be the only ones to achieve Max Light... Give us back raid and trials gear/weapons with unique perks, not this crap... Before everyone waited for tuesday to do raids and nightfalls now been weeks i hardly see someone doing those (most of my friends myself inclueded are 305 a long time ago)
-
Upvote if you're a chronic complainer and will never be satisfied no matter what changes are made to the game.
-
I agree with your caption, but not all the other elitist bs you said 🙄
-
So every planet in the entire galaxy has either cabal hive vex or fallen? Very original bungie. I could shit out a better idea then that. The only thing great about the game is the story and not even the story but the depth to the vanguard otherwise it sucks. Upvote. Can we please all stand together and stop playing this game so bungie will either fail or fix the game maybe even unlock the bullshit dlc that is on disc already and force them to make a real dlc add-on? Please people? I beg you. The grind is gone and I have a normal life kids a job family so it's not even like I burn every minute of my life on the game. Casual players are saying they don't want to be handed everything this way. There is no difficulty to this game. The bad players of the game add more difficulty to the raid then the raid itself. That's really sad.
-
Destiny has been changed to fit a wide variety of play styles, but this harms the hardcore destiny player, and that’s why destiny 2 is a mile wide, but only an inch deep
-
1 AntwortenUpvote if you want to downvote every time you see upvote. Oh... I believe I may have created a paradox...
-
18 AntwortenI love the grind but i also remember how destiny was based on luck to get that perfect weapon. Right now i've got other responsibilities in life. I don't have the whole weekend to grind for gear that i want. In that regard i love destiny 2. I can easily switch between two games. Easily get my milestones without frustration. Still make time for my family and my job. I think there is more besides a game than just grinding. Enjoy it. Or we will always complain. They complained about destiny too.
