Year one had its problems but it kept people playing and that's because the real level cap was tied to the raid and you actually had to level stuff up (armor, weapons, and subclasses) love the grind or hate it but it kept people interested in playing it. Now it's way to easy to level up to cater to casuals which has completely ruined the game and what really made it fun.
Had this in the thread but not many actually saw it so I'm editing.
For all the "what do you think destiny should be or what is d2 lacking people"
1. D2 is a sequel not a dlc and should have had certain things that were GUARANTEED with its release.....NEW character class with all new subclasses to unlock, NEW enemy types, NEW types of playlist activities( not just revamped ones like public events), and of course the only one they actually gave us new areas to explore......these things should have been in the release for $60....instead all we got was a way overpriced dlc to which they took out all the old content.
2. This game seriously needs a horde mode simply for fun at end game just like pvp
3. Iron banner should have something that seriously defines it from regular crucible.....I'd personally like to see it be 4v4v4 and have power level matter.
4. They need to learn the meaning of the saying "the more the merrier" larger fireteams in strike playlists with a harder difficulty of course and public events.....preferably even like a 12 man raid that is more bullet sponge instead of strategy (not that they don't still need the 6 man raid that is strategy) with matchmaking simply for fun not for raid loot....maybe just give a guaranteed exotic or something meaningless but the point is it'd be something fun for a big fireteam and wouldn't matter if a few were carried or had mics.
5. Weapons and armor should need to be leveled up just not in the same way they used to.....maybe have vendors sell weapons and armor with set perks that don't need to but if you come across one while playing and you like the perks you have some activity tied to unlocking them (kinda like the original 3 exotic swords and the strike you had to do before you could get it).
6. I think it's about time they come out with a new elemental type.....corrosive maybe (kinda like thorn)....it'd be nice for 4th subclass with a new element also
7. Think they should take a page from borderlands on this one and have 4 weapon slots.....kinetic, elemental, sniper/shotgun/fusion rifle, and then power(also for the love of god bring back machine guns!)
8. This one is just a neat idea I've had about making our ships kinda like our home and let you spawn into them and decorate with all of your collection.
9. Engrams turned in should give a 3 item option to chose from so you don't end up with as many duplicates
10. Let you choose what game type you want to play in crucible.
11. More customization options with weapons armor and subclass.

You know what tries to happen when you say you love someone, and you stay with them no matter how shitty they become? It ends up destroying you. It ends up taking away your personal essence. You make so many compromises that you barely resemble yourself when the relationship does finally end. Just like IRL relationships, you cant change another person. You can only change yourself. If you keep playing Destiny based of of "potential" you are no different than stsying with that slutty girlfriend who might give you 10-20 minutes of fun per night, but the rest of the time you are putting up with all her shit, all her imperfections, all her LIES, just so you can dip in for a splash.... This always ends up bad. Dont fool yourselves. Get out now. There are other girls. Other games. Dont put up with this shit if you are unhappy.

1 AntwortenI don't hate Destiny 2 and prefer to not have to do a raid to reach max light, but there certainly needs to be something more to do. Boss specific loot, faction rep levels, strike specific shaders, a prestige level, are all possibilities. Tying max light to an activity that a very low percentage of players care to participate in seems unwise. Remember how many players complained non-stop about not getting the boots/gloves to drop for them from the raid (forever 29)?

There was nothing to compair the game to in d1 so people had hope. It was new and fresh. Now we have the end of d1 to compair it to and while it's a good game they took out most of the fun. Pc hasn't even dropped and people are already bored and moving on. Pc players see that and will wonder why they should buy the game. D2 is already on sale. The merchandise is 40% off at gamestop. That's not a good sign. If they don't fix this quick d2 will be the biggest failure of the year. I want to keep playing I want to love this game but it's not in a good place now

I want the destiny that was revealed in 2013. It seems like Bungie has been trying to get back to that ever since destiny was released

4 AntwortenI don`t know why Bungie is still waiting to come up in front and say : "Hey guy`s we know we did a mistake with some aspects of the game and now we are currently working to make the game FUN again. Expect changes in a mount ". 80% of my friends are dedicated Destiny players with more then 3000h play time and now they don`t play Destiny 2 anymore, cuz the game is ass in current state. People are leaving D2 like there is a Godzila chasing behind them. Such huge player base drop in a mount. Don`t get me wrong I have more than 4000 h of D1 and absolutly love it even if it was bit broken, but now in D2 I can`t even force myself playing the game. Like WHO even complained about random perks on weapons so they removed them. Every one complained about the loot drop itself not the actual perks. Good guns with good perks were droping so rare. I am a guy who has more then 3000 h only in crucible and still don`t have a rangefinder luna. That was my problem with D1 the good perks were not droping for me. IS it a bad thing? Yes, but at the same time I had something to chase for. Crucible was so much fun even for solo q players like me and now I want kill myself after 2 games in IB. Please BUNGIE STEP UP and fix your game ( PVP and PVE ) quick or you are gonna loose not only the cassuals, but even dedicated players like myself. D1 was able to survive for 3 years, because of Trials and crucible. It is not gonna happen again if you dont make the game fun again REALLY QUICK.

Even D1 wasn't what Bungie hyped it'd be so I was disappointed with D1 as well. D2 is only worse cause it regressed from what D1 did right and failed to build off what the expansions did. Back to bland patrols? What happened to court of Oryx? The forge? The dark blades? (Note I'm not asking specifically for these events but 'new' additions like them). Why have a lacking pvp when the population will be at its highest during launch? It's common sense and I'm dumbfounded by it, especially from someone like Bungie of all people. Can't even replay the story without deleting characters and the choice of individual strikes is gone. Then you still have no grimiore/codex in game. It's ok though, Bungie said "it'll be in the story" what? I'm sorry, I must've missed the story actually expanding on that crap cause I didn't see any improvements. Furthermore sure, D2 has a better story than the first but it's still awful. No reason to care for the characters, no consistency to the plot and the characters have mood swings in an instant. I could go on and on from the weapons to the progression to the streamlined skill trees, but the game flat out reeks of incompetence when it comes to being a "sequel", I'd rather call it an overpriced expansion. Destiny is just a franchise with wasted potential that I WANTED to like but can't, I won't accept mediocrity and lies.

1 AntwortenIt is so massively tempting to go back to D1. I'm a destiny fanboy...I loved D1. But barely a month in and D2 has me fighting to find reasons to turn it on at night. I've not done the raid yet but what parts I have done are more like puzzles than bosses. In D1 the puzzles were what you had to do in order to get to the next boss and get loot. And what loot it was. They need to bring back random rolls. The fact that I can go positive in most crucible games is a testament to how much they've catered to filthy casuals like myself. I sincerely hope they do an overhaul of the game in its current state. It needs something...that buzz of D1 when you completed the Vault of Glass raid and came out with Fatebringer and Vex. The game as it is, is a bland boring version of itself. It's almost as if Bungie scraped it together in a few months. No real passion has gone into making it. Where's the "got to have" loot? Why's it so easy to get all exotics? Why would you give away exotics as part of the storyline? There's nothing worth grinding for. No repeated disappointment of not getting the Gjallarhorn from the list of "exotic-dropping" activities for that week.

1 AntwortenYep. It's time we start judging Destiny based on what it is, not by what we want it to be. Destiny 2 is a huge game with zero depth. It's about as challenging as a Lego game, with about the same amount of customization. Destiny 2 is for 7 year old kids, not casuals. The only part of the game worth playing is Crucible, because the AI isn't idiotic. But even that mode is completely broken because of so many issues that I don't feel like pointing out. Destiny 2 is the last sequel I'll ever buy from Bungie. If the DLC fixes the problems with the game, maybe I'll jump in after a year or so. But I'm done with the numbered Destiny's. Bungie has gone from the worlds greatest FPS developer, to the worlds worst. I no longer consider myself amoung Bungie's fans. They haven't done anything to retain me as a fan. Such a fall from grace. It's sad.

To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Rick and Morty. The humour is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of theoretical physics most of the jokes will go over a typical viewer’s head. There’s also Rick’s nihilistic outlook, which is deftly woven into his characterisation- his personal philosophy draws heavily from Narodnaya Volya literature, for instance. The fans understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of these jokes, to realise that they’re not just funny- they say something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who dislike Rick & Morty truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn’t appreciate, for instance, the humour in Rick’s existential catchphrase “Wubba Lubba Dub Dub,” which itself is a cryptic reference to Turgenev’s Russian epic Fathers and Sons. I’m smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Dan Harmon’s genius wit unfolds itself on their television screens. What fools.. how I pity them.

Ah that reminds me. Vanilla Destiny took me 2 months to get to Lvl 30 The Dark Below took me 2 days to get to Lvl 32 The House Of Wolves took me 2 hours to get to Lvl 34. Likewise, the Iron Banner Idea of 4v4v4, would be great. Just give it massive maps with an addition of vechicles such as sparrrows, spikes etc.

3 AntwortenWow 2400+ Upvotes and not a word from bungie.... lol whats funny is im seeing replies from cozmo about putting shaders on a goddamn sword. i think that had 400 upvotes? lololol Pathetic.
-
4 Antwortenwow, up over 2400. That says a lot about how much the players hate this game. The only legit defense from some people is the fact that they liked the story. But to me there were so many plot holes it was ridiculous. When Oryx came to the system, the Cabal suicide bombed the dreadnaught and were about to blow up its core. Are you telling me the fallen, hive, and vex in this solar system were just sitting by idly while Ghaul was about to blow up the sun? How cool would this game have been if the fallen became our allies to take down Ghaul? Can you say new playable race? Yet another missed opportunity by Bungie.

3 AntwortenHaha everyone complained they were forever 29 and they fixed it in this game So many different ways for getting to max level and that’s what this forum wanted Bungie can’t do right and can only do wrong by you folks It’s simply never good enough The problem is, the whining and entitlement this bunch of folks has I wish we could see how old some of these people actually are...if bungie knew they were taking the majority of advice from 9 year olds up voting their dumb topics every day They wouldn’t listen to them Don’t like this game...don’t play it I enjoy watching you guys come on here and complain tho, makes my work day go by faster

3 AntwortenBearbeitet von Corrick II: 10/18/2017 2:30:21 AMLeveling up your subclass was fun? Here I thought it was running around wielding space magic and experiencing near-perfect gameplay mechanics. Why does everyone have such fond memories of leveling gear? It was boring, don't make it sound like you savored every perk once you unlocked it. We all knew exactly what to expect from a piece of gear or a gun the moment we looked at the perk tree, actually leveling it was just a chore. The best thing they did in that regard was letting you burn motes to speed-level your stuff. The problem is everyone has so many ideas of what they want Destiny to be that they miss what it is and stop just having fun with it. Get over yourselves, Bungie cannot and will not ever be able to make this perfect unicorn of a game you're dreaming of.
-
2 AntwortenDownvoted. I, for one, don't miss the grind. I like the new places and activities, I enjoy the higher level of cosmetic customization, and I think the raid is a worthy addition to the previous four. The game is far from perfect, mind you. The PvP is less fun than D1's was before Valentine's Day. Our Guardian being mute was just stupid. And, the Iron Banner was just Crucible with a different narrator with light levels disabled. But, I am still enjoying the ride, just as I did my 2500 hours in D1.

35 AntwortenBearbeitet von CyberVVolf: 10/18/2017 1:36:06 AMI think that they missed the mark on D2 considering what they had to use from D1 and the time they spent in development: Vault is a step backwards: The D1 vault by the end was near perfect except for maybe more space and a few more tabs for things like shaders and ghosts, but at-least it was organized into weapons, armor and misc. The D2 Vault should have built on an already good system and evolved, but instead we have everything thrown in one tab, but yet separate tabs for exotics and emblems, but no tabs for shaders, ships, Sparrows, ghosts or anything else. Either bring back Kiosks or evolve the vault, so they are not needed. To much recycled from D1: They had three years to prepare, but we get all the same enemies, many of the same exotics and many patrol missions from D1. I would have liked to see a step forward with some original thought then just re-skinning D1. And those Public events? What happened there? Not only are some recycled ( we did get some new ones ), but having a flag marking them and occurring so often what is the point? Public events should have evolved into random battles/tasks that make the open world exploration fun and exciting with worthy rewards. Now they are just events on quick timers with a "x" marks the spot come fight here system, which is boring with no real reward, and even the heroic versions have horrible rewards. Not enough gear: 1 month in and everyone looks the same in social spaces and are pretty much using the same weapons. There should have been double if not triple the gear from D1 with a high level of individualization available. I've said it before, but they should take a look at the system Halo 4 used that had several armor variants attached to commendations for rewards, which would have been a great system and something to work towards. D2 should have several variants of each gear piece and tons of Rare unique gear/weapons attached to in game commendations or milestones. Huge missed opportunity with Lost Sectors: Lost sectors should be similar to solo dungeons in Elder Scrolls online and they should be well hidden and not on a map. They should be at random hidden locations so when you happen to find one you are excited to get through it because it may not have be there long. Plus, If they attached multiple rare armor/weapon variants to LS's then you would have unique gear after completing the LS that would be very rare and a great trophy. Factions: Not a big fan of this new Faction Rally or the re-skinned Faction armor that is already in game. Factions should be always available and should have advanced from D1, but again a step backwards Bungie went. I will say that I like the randomness of the drops from factions packages instead of just buying gear, but I think a better system could have been introduced that evolved from D1. Example: Have the Faction themed re-skinned armor available for purchase if you are pledged to the faction, but also have hidden unique rare faction armor/weapons that unlock as you rank up the faction. For instance, every 10 levels that you rank up the faction you get a "Rare Faction Package" that contains a couple pieces of rare Faction gear and have different variants that could drop so it's not just the same drop for everyone. Also have Faction Exotic unlocks at high ranks, such as rank 50 and 100 with a faction specific armor and weapon for those ranks. I think that would give us a reason to rank up Factions and have rare weapons, shaders and gear attached to the system with multiple variants. In D1 I think my Dead Orbit Rank was over 120, so imagine how cool it would be to have some rare & unique gear from climbing the higher faction ranks or completing Faction Milestones. Not to mention in D1 we had the special shaders that dropped randomly and the Exotic Faction items, which there is no mention of in D2 as of yet. During the Faction Rally, I got a ton of the same shaders right away and a bunch of the same gear! Not fun and no reason at all to grind A real open world: The world of D2 should have evolved into a larger RPG world that is a living, breathing environment with unexpected changes, battles and spawns with an active weather system. as well as, hidden caves and areas with a ton of loot to randomly find, so there is a reason to explore and a sense of reward. Again think Elder Scrolls Online and how fun a similar system would be in D2. Finally how about some cool planet monsters or new planet enemies hidden away in caves for us to find and battle for loot? New Shader system: Love the addition of applying shaders to everything, but not at all a fan of the single use system or the purchase system, especially the Legendary shaders! Once you unlock a shader you should have it available to apply to anything unlimted like in D1. The only shaders that you should be apply to purchase are the planet shaders for in game glimmer from the planet contact people. Certain shaders should be rare drops from in game milestones or completions, not purchased with real money! Planet contact people and tokens: The people we turn in the tokens to on each planet seem like a real waste along with the token concept. Why not have daily/weekly/monthly missions, milestones and bounties available for us to grab from each person and as we rank up we get reward packages similar to what I described above with Factions. The Tokens should be attached to Rare unique gear with a few different variants available, so after you collect a certain amount you can turn them in for a "rare package" for one of the random gear/weapon variants available from that person. Again, give us a reason to explore and rank up these NPC's. That is just a few things that really bug me along with, no strike specific gear, strike scoring or harder strikes like in D1. the Mod system should allow us to remove mods and we should be able to fully mod a weapon with grips, sights, barrels, trigger types and so on to build a personal weapon. They could have done better and I hate to complain, but D2 was a big let down in my eyes. I expected more of an evolved Destiny experience with many new additions. Edit: Thank you to everyone who took the time to read and comment. I took some of your advice and created my own topic with these ideas. We will see what happens!

Bearbeitet von Iccotak: 10/18/2017 12:22:09 AMWhen Destiny was first being shown off we were promised a Large Shared World Shooter RPG. That was "Ancient Fantasy" + "Hard Science Fiction". We got a standard FPS with some looting, and near zero word building. I just do not understand how people can defend an unfinished product. Especially after what happened in Destiny 1. We expect the whole game. We do not want to have to wait for things that should have been in the game when we got it, only to have them called "DLC". Think of a game like a Burger. -The Burger (base game) should have; the meat patty, lettuce, tomato, onion, cheese, ketchup & mustard. -The fries and soda (DLC/Expansion) should add to the experience. We should not have to pay more money to make the game whole when it should have been at launch. F2P games like Warframe can do that because they are F2P. You are getting the game for free so it being a work-in-progress is forgivable. Destiny is made by AAA developers, supported by AAA publishers, and is sold as a $60 game. They already have the money and support they need to make a complete product. The fact that it is not a complete game at launch, and relies on content updates as well as paid DLCs to add things that should have been in the game in the first place, is unacceptable. A $60 game should not act like a F2P game. It should be a complete game at release.

12 - how about new enemies to face. Cabal, fallen, vex, hive, and taken with a few new types of those enemies. Bungie literally half assed this game from start to finish.
-
I still love Destiny. But how can Bungie take so many steps backwards, is beyond me.
-
Year 1, Day 1 D1 and D2 player here - yada yada yada... Needed somewhere to vent my frustrations - I really hope Bungie is reading these forums and paying attention. While the story is good, the graphics and worlds are beautiful, the heart of what drew me back to D1 day after day and week after week just wasn't transplanted into D2. I have two main complaints: 1) What is up with the "Dress up Barbie" aspect of the game? I know there are people out there who really care about how they look, and this isn't about them. I have hundreds of shaders and mods, and I have a plethora of weapons and armor. Yay! Funny thing is whatever I do, it really doesn't matter because.... 2) Your power level is meaningless. I mean, the only meaning I can find is that it forces you to grind in order to open up new activities. But hey, being 240 260 or even 305 power means ABSOLUTELY JACK when it comes to fighting. Going into a NF as a 250 is exactly the same as going in at 305. It does feel like there is a penalty if you are under the recommended, but you have no breathing room or benefit if you are ABOVE the recommended power level. Running the raid with an experienced fireteam should be fun once you get the concepts down. But, when we are all 295+ and are getting owned due to either the overpowered ads or the highly mechanical and unforgiving challenges, it just isn't fun. Frankly, I'd prefer to go back to D1 and play any of those Raids (including KF) rather than go into the Leviathan again. I could bring up how they ruined the PVP aspect in making everything exactly the same, but I digress. Never did like that portion of the game, and could care less on if this becomes a E-Sport title.

Even the iron banner token system sucked. Breaking down iron banner gear doesn't give back any tokens? 100's of tokens to get back 0 when breaking them down? Then hard mode raid gear? No additional perks to help raiding groups or 2:1 token ratio of obtaining hard mode raid tokens? It's all the same and 305 light level.
