This map is terribly unbalanced in control. If you are lucky enough to spawn in at the A flag with a decent team you win. B is easily defended from A side through the 3 lines of sight, one of them being a hole the enemies have to jump over. The other two are long sight lines that are easily defended with scout rifle. Sometimes when you respawn you are only steps away from B. Heavy ammo also spawns in a protected location right behind B so you never have to worry about it being taken.
The B flag needs to be moved to a location without a clear advantage for one side. Or maybe the map design just doesn't work with control.

Seems a lot of people are experiencing similar issues with this map. Hopefully Bungie is hearing the problems and looking into it. Hope you all had a successful iron banana!

If you spawn on C flag side you will not be able to capture B or A because it's so one sided. A flag has all the cover, they are 10 steps away from B flag and if you try to push to B flag you will get team shot because of the little cover that there is. Remove that map completely or never put it in Iron Banner.

1 AntwortenVery few even know how to play Control. The worst B point is on that map with the exhaust fans shooting you back and forth, yet morons insist on holding it even though A and C are easier to defend.

C side basically lost the game unless you're able to flank the A team and rotate spawns. It's simply not possible to hold C and B, while it's very possible to hold A and B. Edit: I love how some people casually write "flip spawns then" as if it's not a big deal. Then you check up the stats and some have 30-40% winrate and below 1 k/d. Stop making it sound easier than it is. It's easy if you play against Kinderguardians, it isn't if you play against a competent team.

I have been enjoying Iron Banner but think I am ready for a break haha. One of my last matches was on this map and it clicked for me too. Spawning at C, my teams almost never won. Spawning at A was an easy win. To the poster below, the fire blower map reminds me of that one map from D1 where you'd transport to B. Leave B alone and take A and C people!!!

3 AntwortenIt’s tough, but if you take a far right flank from C you can push an A cap and flip spawns. It’s imbalanced as hell, but not impossible.

Just had an insane match there. You’re right, A is the key to winning. The other team can’t even take A if the team spawning there knows how to evenly hold ground.

It took me the 5 seconds it took to walk from c spawn to b flag to realize the other spawn had a massive advantage. That's a pretty egregious design flaw.

Yes i hate that map so much in control. Maybe moving B flag to the open courtyard between the "entry" bomb site and the trees. Far enough away from other control points and gives no clear advantage to either team.

3 AntwortenYou will literally get spawn flips in the game. It is built in for that exact reason. Sometimes youre just on a team that is out matched.
