8 AntwortenOk, I'll let him know personally.

Too far. He's human. Jeez. To put blame solely on him is stupid.

10 AntwortenThe big problem is not actually Luke Smith. Bungie made contracts with Activision and Sony. It really does not matter who is doing what. Till those are fulfilled Bungie is stuck. You would think Jason Jones or the Bungie board would make smart choices. You should blame the Board of Directors for letting Activision have such a heavy hand in the game in the first place. They had the dream team but in no way could Acitvision be competing against its self. This game is geared for eight year olds who get frustrated when they cannot one button kill some one. What is killing Destiny is the idea it needs to be dumbed down to appeal to a certain market. Unlike Halo that was a Rated M game it had a certain allure. Also Microsoft was backing it thus it came out right. Bungie likes to put its ass in the fire then they want others to pay the bills. So they pass on the cost of making a barely playable game onto the consumers. Keeping it going when it had so much promise is a task only a veteran crew can handle. No one will touch it as too many are concerned with making money at the top and not actually letting people do the job they were hired to do. Games make big bank. So do baseball teams. The trouble is they had a team to win it all. Instead of investing or trusting the people under them they let outside influences chart what is to be done. Actitivsion does not want another blizzard nor do they want to compete COD vs Destiny. Thus you have things as they are now due to choices made by people who really did not think things through like they thought. Now are stuck slaving away with very little say. Luke Smith sounds coached by someone to say all the things he said about the game. You can tell he knows its crap but its his job like Deej or others to sell it. hook line and sinker.

9 AntwortenAs far as Luke getting fired, I don't know if that would solve anything. The problem is the fact that it wasn't just one person, that decided this vision was the way they wanted go with D2. It was a team effort, and firing everyone and hiring a new team to fix things, will most likely cause more problems. Like the new guys having a different vision as well. The majority of bungie, knows or should know exactly what everyone wants. If they dont, then they should hit reddit and their own forums to see exactly whats been said, and if any of it is feasible to make happen. Yes it will be time consuming, especially sorting through some salty irrelevant post that have been made, but it has to be done, because there are various post that are very accurate and provide very good feedback. Also "this week at bungie", needs some changing as well. At least there should be a section that specifically address issues that have been brought up. Even if the response is vague, a simple nod and tip of a hat in the direction of the issue, goes a long way in insuring the community that its being looked at. Because silence is the worst the thing to do..... What I really want Luke and bungie to remember is, why was Luke hired in the first place? What did he do that made bungie take notice in him, and ultimately hire him? He wrote "Broken Halo"..............For those of you that dont know about it https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/53487500?sort=0&page=0&path=1 Its funny because back then, the community was saying a lot of what the community has been saying about D1>D2. Back then people were saying H1>H2, you can even see the "deleted user" at bottom of the link saying almost exactly what some post have said about D1.

Hey Luke I'm still waiting to find out how my 3rd, 4th, etc better devils is going to be interesting. I think a lot of people are...

1 AntwortenThe next dlc should be free and anyone who purchased the session pass should get their 15$ back. I didn't buy D2, but you guys deserve better imo.

I’ve been calling for this for about two years. This guy is cancer and it definitely shows in D2.
-
Before its ruined? It already is lol.
-
Fired? No. Put him back to just designing raids. He's very good at that.
-
11 AntwortenJesus. You people take video games way too seriously.
-
Just..... no.

I just want to say that although many of us may or may not agree with them, the OP is entitled to their opinion. And it's simply that, an opinion. Personally I don't think the comment is warranted, nor is this the place for it, but that's not our decision to make.

Get this post out of here before the forums are completely ruined. Why is this back up top?
-
I am upset about a number of things with Destiny but I refuse to call for the firing of someone. This isn't the product of one person.
-
Nah, keep him. Thanks though.
-
You don't really know what Luke does do you. Luke Smith is fine.
-
17 AntwortenBungie should delete topics like these. Absolutely nothing to be gained from this.

Bump!!!!!

I'm disappointed as anyone with a iota of sense in D2 , but for real firing Luke Smith will not solve our beef with Destiny 2 and Bungie's direction with it , even if Luke Smith is responsible for all of the things wrong with Destiny 2, asking for him to be fired is immature, at the very least in that scenario demote him and have someone more competent to take the helm , and whose willing to tell Activision to -blam!- off and let them make the decisions on the game .

He's got a hive fetish

1 AntwortenHard to imagine a more pointless and attention seeking post than this one. You should be ashamed of yourself
