Nice IB reskin weapons bungie
As guessed, they’re just a bunch of lazy reskins.
So I guess that’s what Luke meant...by making the fifth drop of the same weapon more interesting, by adding five reskins of the same weapon?! Nice...
This is just damn lazy bungie! Or did you plan IB with no weapons at all and had to make some quick, because people already were worried why there are no infos about them?
Not even a samurai sword? Nothing?
And the fact that light level doesn’t matter anymore, makes the first IB a shadow of itself. I’m sad.... -_-
Edit: It seems there are many people defending the reskinned weapons. And I know we had reskins before, but bungie finally made the step to add unique weapons to IB. So why go back?
Are you guys ok if your mom/girlfriend finally adds mayonnaise on your sandwich and all of a sudden stops doing it? I’m pretty sure everyone would be disappointed by it. ;)
And also, I agree, the armor looks great! But all I got so far was the freaking terak chest...I mean, wtf. I’m playing IB, so why add random gear in the lootpool bungie?!

I make my own sandwiches, however, your point is understood. Much of what Destiny 1 became over 3 years was stripped away from it in D2. why remove these parts of the game and then not replace them with something. Sure, its a new game, there are new economies and new strategies etc, however, taking so much of what made Desinty 1 great, and not replacing it with anything that COULD have been great just leaves everyone feeling liek the game is an empty shell.. Its beautiful, plays great and the gunplay is still top notch. What they forgot was to fill the world with meaningful content after taking alot of that content away to change the game.

Game has serious potential just needs more filler.

Yeah the fact that they are all reskins is extremely disappointing. It just makes bungie look very lazy. IB weapons should be uniquely designed just like the trials weapons are. I think what makes reskins worse in D2 is the fact that we now have static rolls on guns too, removing almost all variety from that area of the game. Static rolls are another topic for another post. My point is, WE NEED SOME VARIETY. Give us more unique designs. A few more unique legendary armor sets wouldn't hurt either. I hate how there are like 2 or 3 sets for each class that all have a couple reskins (dead end cure and wildwood, all faction armor, etc). Is it so much to ask for UNIQUE gear?

1 AntwortenUnique IB weapons were there because the Iron Lords and the Iron Banner were central to that period of the game. I don't see anyone associating the uniqueness of the IB weapons with the fact that the WotM weapons were Gunsmith weapons in black with minor SIVA additions. If I recall correctly, there were only 3 sets of truly unique weapons that bore no resemblance to any others, those being from King's Fall, Y3 IB and Y3 Trials. We already have 2 sets in the opening weeks of the game.

Yeah... this game is pretty shit, it’s a beautiful game. The idea of most things are perfect.... but drop rates are too easy...the fact everything is reskinned.... just wow. Iron banner hit it off for me. I’ll play with friends but not much.... there’s not even a reason to play prestige.... what? For a halo? Nah fam... what happened to the ALL GOLD shaders from the trailers? Right... The fact iron banner had NO type of quest... mhmmmm ohhhh an emblem for the season. BULLSHIT! Just wow,

Lazy as f**k and doesn't give you the desire to earn them. If this was shoehorned in at the last minute then I'd understand but this was a planned event that was always going to happen.

I'd like to point out also, that the armor is the BEST iron banner armor out of any IB ever. But the weapons, as you said, are just reskins with iron banner medallions slapped on. Couldn't even at least introduce a new foundry for the IB designs to be based on. Had to be vanguard and suros style weapons. Why not Hakke at least? Or veist? I see those two the least in this game. Or maybe bring Daito or Tex Mechanica in as a surprise? It would be cool. And like OP said, a samurai sword dude. They missed out on the samurai theme and not giving us a samurai sword. Not a ninja one like the hunter gets, no. A samurai one, a long katana. Not a short one.
