Cut from vanilla (obviously), likely going to be featured in an upcoming expansion.
I'm willing to bet they threw Exodus Crash together with extreme haste to serve as a replacement, and that's why it's such a garbage strike.

Hardly cut, the teasers never specified which part of the game it was from. It could have always been a dlc or future update.

It was available in some capacity in a beta build of the game, and it's not available in final release, which means it was cut for all intents and purposes. Maybe it was scrapped completely, unfinished, or temporarily removed to introduce at a later time, but it was undeniably cut.
