I'll start off by saying that I love destiny 1 and 2......almost to the point of being a fanboy. I spent 3 years defending this game and the designers. All 3 toons maxed out and nothing more to do. The fact that there are no random perks rolls on weapons has killed it for me. Anyone remember the good old days when you finally got a longbow with short gaze and hidden hand? You had to equip it and tell your fire team to look at it! It was so exciting! I even miss stat rolls on armor and trying to get the elusive tier 11 set. All the DLC is designed, and I'm sure plenty of content is time gated so that we don't have a content drought but it won't be enough to keep us happy. What's the point? A new short story to grind followed by grinding rare gear infusion to get to the next light lvl? Trials with no light lvl? Wtf? No faction lvls to show off? It's officially a game for casuals. No advantage or reward for playing twice as much as the next guy. Can I please have my adept weapon instead of a damn blue horse emblem and a week of aura?

3 AntwortenBearbeitet von Orbital Drop Shock Trooper: 9/28/2017 1:09:42 AMPeople complained in D1 that the perks of weapon rolls were having too much of an impact in PvP and making them have an additional grind that they did not want. Bungie addressed that for D2. Now people are starting to feel like they have nothing to do. Honestly many of the complaints by the community are shortsighted and are led by average to below average majority joes who think they know best, then when they get what they want. Pretend like Bungie never caved in to their demands before like they never fought for it. When the evidence is all scattered in the history of the forum threads. These same people will continue to lead the charge for complaints into D2 with the same mentality they will not learn from.

11 Antworten100%... No random perks is the death of this game. Anyone defending it, wait a month until either you realize there's nothing to do, or you see only a handful of guardians playing

63 AntwortenReports of people grinding for a god roll are wildly exaggerated. Virtually no one actually did this thing that everyone now claims they miss. It would take months and months to actually grind for a completely random roll. In most cases you'd never even get the gun. Plus, the difference would be so slight you'd have to be an idiot to play for weeks/months just to get a slightly modified gun. Fake news.

Don't forget about shaders! Luke Smith - "hey lets make shaders consumable" Intelligent Bungie employee - "that's going to make everyone who played Destiny angry" "Why would you do that?" Luke Smith - "Money" "oh and you're fired, we don't need those kind of ideas at Activis... I mean Bungie"

Agree. I've said it many times now. If all you want is a FPS then D2 is a perfectly acceptable game. However, the reason many of us far preferred Destiny over other FPS games is because there was a bit more depth in the skills and weapons customization. The D1 system made your gear and characters adjustable to your individual play style, and much of that was the RNG perk rolls on weapons. Half the excitement of getting new loot was checking out the perks and then trying the gun out to see how it handled. That experience is gone with D2, since every weapon of the same archetype is barely differentiated by the watered down perks. If you want an MMORPG/Looter because you enjoy chasing "perfect" stats and load out then D2 isn't going to have much to offer you except reskins once you hit max light. And, considering the first trailer had Cayde shouting "There will be a ton of loot." I don't think it was unreasonable to think that they'd give us a reason to want to chase that new loot other than cosmetic reskins.

Agreed. Bungie created a great game, but dumbed it down so badly that most of the people I play with and myself have all the gear and are just waiting for the next DLC. And I dont even play that often. I knew this was going to happen because three days into the beta I already had all the loot. Fixed perks on gear completely makes gear less special, zero excitement when getting items, and completely takes away even more of the customization options. This is a very common complaint, and one of my only complaints about D2. Otherwise Bungie knocked it out of the park. I'm just hoping that Bungie makes some appropriate changes for the next DLC. As for auras, I can't be more on your side. WTF?? What is the point of doing a HM nightfall? I hope that the HM raid rewards appropriately compliment the challenge.

19 AntwortenGood old days? You mean when people who can play 10 hours a day have a decided advantage against those that can't? No. I absolutely do not miss those days. Nor should anyone.

5 AntwortenBearbeitet von Dredd_fan: 9/27/2017 12:11:29 PMBungie realised, players need to get a life and stop working on their playstation tan. D2 is here to save you from living in your mother's basement. Be thankful.

Sounds like you have a lot of time

I don't get why people are defending Bungie for the state the game is in. The excuses never end. Stop making excuses for Bungie.

6 AntwortenBearbeitet von chirf: 9/27/2017 6:00:53 PMI get what you're saying, but I disagree. Thanks to the armor mods and weapon-specific infusion it adds a lot of tiny upgrades that gives you a reason to grind more. My favorite power weapon has always been a shotgun, and in D2 it's been the hardest thing to level up since you can't infuse all power weapons together like you could in the first game. Sure, if I equip my rocket launcher my light/power level will be maximum, but I want a higher level shotgun... I also like grinding for different armor types and mods. I have my full set of recovery gear that I like using in PvP, but now I'm working toward getting my Resilience gear that I'd like to use for PvE (and on top of that, I'm working towards getting gear to infuse them so they're all max level and useful in raids and iron banner). I've heard good things about mobility, so who knows... might grind for that one day too. And even after that, I like working toward specific armor mods to maximize my stats. Full recovery gear with full recovery armor mods Full resilience gear with full resilience armor mods Or any other combination of armor mods I might find useful or fun to use. And what's even better, is I can get armor mods from gunsmith rep. And you get gunsmith rep from dismantling gear. And where can you get gear? Literally anywhere I can do public events, strikes, pvp, w/e, and dismantle all of the low level gear I get while at the same time having a chance of exotic drops. I've got plenty to do in this game, and I've barely finished the story on my alts yet. EDIT: Instead of a god roll, I guess you could call this a god tier armor set?

Bearbeitet von doveloc: 9/27/2017 4:33:36 PMBoy do I ever agree! Second most disliked part of D2 is getting the same stuff I have already received multiple times. Quite a stupid mistake removing random gear perks which keeps gear fresh at least in the mind it’s turned sour real quick. I’m a little embarrassed to admit this but I have 267 days 12 hours and eight minutes logged on Destiny1. Sure I got really bored but I always could look forward to getting a better rolled weapon. That’s just one of the issues that makes D2 a good game but that feeling of it could have been done better is always lingering. How about dumbing down the subclass menu, I happen to like running very specific builds because I pride myself on being different… I’m sure almost everybody feels me. Above all what bothers me the most is My Hunter cannot fing blink!!!! Wtf seriously so so disappointing that it’s removed from my hunter. Not even really a fan of the arcstrider cause it feels slow to me not like when you could slide into a group of guardians and give them a taste of the show stopper.

23 Antworten
Can I please have my adept weapon
Because these were the source of all harmony in D1 and fuelled a black market, illgeal tax avoiding economy of pay to win sites and team.

I never cared for perks, if it killed it worked for me, my favorite gun in destiny 1 was the year 1 Corrective Measure, gun was a absolute beast not to mention it had enormous reserves and clip. Not sure what the age of triumph version was like though.

There is some truth in this ....... very sad.

1 AntwortenBearbeitet von IngoingSausage: 9/27/2017 2:17:37 PMI agree with all your points with the exception of the faction lvl. The level was pointless imo except for the exotic class item at lvl 25. I had NM over 95 and it meant nothing. I didn't get the ship until long after the taken king. If we get specific rewards at higher levels then I would be on board. And not ships or shaders. In addition to exotic class items, we should get exotic guns, armor and specific legendary gear for reaching certain levels. All of this would be in addition to the rewards obtained with regular faction leveling.

1 AntwortenWhy did bungie do this? Simple. They thought of trying, then gave up and fixed some things wrong with vanilla destiny, ignored three years of progress, and gave us this incomplete game, along with the great content drought of 2017. But hey, those sky-boxes sure are stunning though!
